Galleria Hair Salon and Day Spa

I was desperate to find a spot for a pedicure. After searching 13 pages of Unilocal suggestions, I called here and they were able to fit me in. I have become rather skittish about who I allow to touch my feet after so many horrible experiences.
Ann is the nail tech. She is the only nail tech in the salon. There are 2 pedicure chairs and 1 manicure station, very private. She was very patient with me and very gentle. She was constantly checking to make sure that nothing was hurting or uncomfortable. She did not use any of the tools that have caused a whole lot of pain in the past. She opened the package of sterile instruments right in front of me.
Now, despite the fact that the Unilocal listing says they accept charge cards, I was told I had to pay cash (or check, but I do not carry a check book with me). I never thought to ask the question and I do not see this addressed in any of the other reviews, so heads up on that one. I always use cash for the tip and fortunately I had enough cash with me or I would still be sitting there waiting for someone to come and bail me out.

I just got back from getting my hair cut by Krystal, who is an independent, at the Galleria. I started with her 8 years ago but stopped when I was «down sized.» I forgot what a difference there is between her hair cuts and other salons in the area. I will continue to go back because I love the quality and style of her haircut and how confident I feel knowing my hair looks great! If you decide to go, Krystal listens to your ideas, offers her own depending on hair type, face structure and life style. She knows I do not like to spend a lot of time blow drying my hair so she cuts my hair so it is easy to quickly blow dry and go. Or if I want to spend more time I can blow dry it and add product to give it more volume.

Started coming here after my nail tech of 17 years moved to Houston. I began having Joyce do my nails and she is terrific! I am a very fussy client. I know what I want and am not afraid to tell you. I know a good nail tech when I see one. Joyce is it! I tried someone else from Beauty On the Main before finding Joyce and was not impressed. If you are looking for a nail tech who will have great attention to detail, do a fantastic job and have a fabulous personality and attitude — go see Joyce! You will not be disappointed.

I’ve been seeing Clorinda, the owner, since I was a little girl. She keeps the salon clean and well-​decorated. There are always magazines and refreshments, and plenty of seating if you have to wait. Parking is tough, but not too bad. All the other hair stylists, manicurists, etc. are independent. They just rent space. Many of them have been there for years, and I’m sure they are wonderful.

The staff is still friendly and professional, and the new space is lovely — and so convenient. They are RIGHT down the street from a specialty grocer and next door to a fun little olive oil shop. Just make an appointment and you can stop on your way from the train to the parking garage!

This was one of the best spa experiences I have ever had. The staff is friendly and extremely professional, and the ambiance is great. Prices are reasonable and the Japanese skincare line they use is phenomenal. I have yet to see it used in another salon. I have to say that I am hooked. Coming from up north, even the 45-​minutes drive from my house is well worth the visit.
