Tonights choice made by our son for his birthday! The deep dish pizza never disappoints! Reasonably priced, too!

In town for business and used Unilocal. The overall place gets tons of reviews so I had to try one near me. A small is more than enough for at least 3 – 4 people. I did stuffed cheese with pepperoni top and bottom. To be honest it was good but man it’s A LOT of cheese. I found myself want more crust. But the pizza flavor itself is great.

The pizza is excellent with consistently good service. The employees smile is really the cherry on the cake. The pizza is reasonably prized based on its overall quality

I am at Giordano’s in Downers Grove, IL, as I write this. The Chopped Salad was amazing, the Chicago Stuffed Pizza was great, but what made our experience really fun was our server, Christopher. He is a great server and anticipated our needs before we even asked for different things. We will come back and ask for him and his charming, fun personality. The only downside to this Giordano is the parking and it is not a standalone Giordano’s with a parking lot. Regardless, it was definitely worth the trip!

Big disappointment. Ordered large THIN crust for take out. Arrived to pick up and they hadn’t even made it yet. Miscommunication they said, thought the pickup time was the time they were supposed to it in the oven. OK, mistakes happen. I ran a few errands and came back, still wasn’t done. Server who took the order very nice and apologetic. Finally got the pizza and ran out the door. Family is waiting and hungry. Get home to find out they gave me a deep dish pizza. OK, we’ll just eat it… NOT! It was soggy. It was under baked, nothing more disgusting than raw bread dough. It was not edible. Just a glop of messiness on cardboard. expensive too. Husband told me to complain but why bother… I do not want another pizza from there and I doubt they would drive out to pickup the bad pizza and give me a refund.

Had Giordano’s from many other locations and love it. I recently moved to DG and began ordering from this location. They are 0 – 3. 1st time ordered the bottom of the pizza was under cooked. Next time ordered well done to avoid that problem and the the sauce was completely dried out. 3rd time uncooked and soggy bottom. I’m done with this location, if you want Giordano’s try a different location.

We ordered bruschetta and bread was really soggy and they put bbq sauce on top for some reason which made it taste odd. Our dinner was excellent though. I got ckn parm dinner and hubby got meatball sandwich. Waiter wasn’t anything to brag about, he seemed more worried about mingling at bar than waiting on us. I put a to go order in when we ordered our food and then he brought check and we noticed he hadn’t put to go order on. He had forgotten. I wasn’t going to wait 15 min for it with a 2 year old getting cranky.

Update, here again through no choice of my own. They screwed up the salad, again. entrée salad… Entrée as in «I want this as the main course» but here it is now, 45 minutes before the pizza for the rest of my party arrives. I was totally open to giving this place another shot and increasing the rating but they’ve let me down again.

We ordered an EXTRATHIN pizza, so it shouldn’t have taken over 1 hour &40 minutes for it to be delivered! And we only live 2.5 miles away. A 3-item pizza was almost $ 30, including a $ 2.50 delivery fee and then a tip on top of all of this. The only way the rating wasn’t a 1-star one is that we think that IF the pizza would have been served HOT, it probably would have tasted pretty good. And as far as «extra thin», well let’s just say they have a strange idea of what«extra» means. We will NOT be ordering from there again. Oh yeah, to order on line, one MUST pay by a credit card, not be able to pay cash on the delivery.

One of the best outlet with great service and taste. My experience with other Giordanos was not that good just because of the poor service and the cold pizza. But this time the experience was totally different. The pizza was hot and tempting and starters were too good. I had fried mozzarella cheese and cheese garlic bread for starters. It was a wonderful experience !!

Food was way overpriced. I honestly would prefer my neighborhood pizza place over this. It was really overrated. Staff was polite and attentive however the wait is killer. It was nearly and hour to get our food. Our kids food came out 30 minutes before our pizza came out. This was a little irritating as the kids were restless and ready to go just as my husband and I started eating. Actual pizza was just ok. The crust was yummy and crisp but once you bit in further it tasted undercooked. I know it must be hard to get it cooked thoroughly and some like that but I dont. Toppings all tasted fresh and were very good. Price and wait is the biggest downfall.

Ill«cut» to the chase. Horrible service(sat in booth for 18 mins after hostess sat us and finally had to walk almost into the kitchen to find someone to take our. Hmmm… paying customers you should help them /there good for your business. Over another hour later our pizza showed /medicore at best. What a true disappointment as people talked up this place. I do not share the«best of» anywhere at this place. Our waitress was a disaster ://(where is training and managment to help her learn?) Final answer… go somewhere else… actually«run» somewhere else your missing nothing but frozen hard ravioli apps and pizza as good as a stuffed unos from the store. Ill close with we have been to over 150 pizza places … In mulitple states. Yes I know pizza. :)

I’m here visiting family from NJ and every time I make a trip to the Chicago area I NEED giordano’s pizza. Everything about the pizza is wonderful. My family and I always get the super veggie pizza. There’s so much cheese and almost 10 vegetable toppings/stuffings! This place has never disappointed me yet! Minus the part where I feel like I’m going to explode because I overeat the pizza. I have a deep dish style pizza obsession and I might need a pizza intervention… it’s a problem. Anyway, I went to this Giodano’s in Downers Grove and it was a pleasant experience. It was mid afternoon on a Thursday so the restaurant wasn’t busy. The manager greeted us as we came in and also checked up on us again. The waiter, Joey, was really friendly, attentive and sweet. He took our order right away and got the drinks and appetizer out right away. He even brought my dad another soda when his original one was down to the bottom ¼th – we didn’t even need to ask! He checked up on us multiple times to make sure things were going swimmingly. If you do go to Giodano’s in Downers Grove, request Joey! He’s wonderful!!!:) Also we ordered the bruschetta! It was good too! I can’t wait to come back to Chicago and eat pizza… I mean visit my family…

The pizza here is good but I’m not really a huge fan of deep dish. But the pizza is good. It does take a long time to get your pizza; we called 20 minutes ahead to pre-order and it still took 45 minutes after we got there. Friendly service though and good location with easy to find parking.

Bad visit, waiter was horrible and confused. Food was consistent with Giordano’s and that is the only good part of this meal

Came to this location during lunch time with co-workers and was very pleased. They have a very decently priced lunch menu that is quite satisfying. The service was great as well — the wait staff had no issues with preparing our food before we arrived so that we did not have to feel pressured to eat fast in order to get back from lunch on time. The restaurant is also nice and cozy, great relaxing atmosphere. We will definitely come back!

Being a tourist in Chicago, I HAD to try a deep dish pizza before I left. Everyone has their own opinions of what the best deep dish pizza is in Chicago, but I had read about Giordano’s in a few«best» lists and it was close to my hotel. So, by default, Giordano’s was my first Chicago deep dish experience for the trip. The deep dish pizza was thick! The crust was perfectly crispy, the cheese was super gooey, and the meat was moist and tender. Delicious! It does take about 45 minutes to bake the deep dish pizza though, and they warn you of the time before you order. It is definitely worth the wait! Service was great and the drink refills kept coming. We all left stuffed, happy, and with leftovers to spare. They sell frozen pizzas at the entrance so you can buy some and bake it later or even transport it on a short flight. Can’t say I’m not tempted…

My husband and I took a trip to Chicago to see a concert and I didn’t want to leave until I had Chicago deep dish pizza. We stopped at this location since it was on our way home. When we got there we ordered the fried calamari and more appetizer and it was great. It had calamari but also had green beans, hot peppers and lemon rings. I have never thought of frying lemon before and I really want to try this at home because it was great! We ordered the meat and more stuffed pizza. After waiting a little bit the manager came over and said he had some bad news, our pizza was dropped when they took it out of the oven(it happens nobody is perfect) he said that we could do two options. He would put a thin crust pizza in for us or he would do another stuffed pizza but it would be another ½ hour before it would be done. My husband said we can’t leave Chicago without having Chicago style pizza but we do have an over 7 hour drive home(it was around 6pm). The manager said that the pizza would be free and he would also throw a free appetizer in as well. We decided to go with the stuff pizza since I have always wanted to try it. We went with the fried mozzarella cheese appetizer. This isn’t your normal run of the mill fried mozzarella sticks this was triangles of molten heaven! they were so good, all other mozzarella will pale in comparison! We got our pizza after waiting for around a ½ an hour. Our server gave us each a slice and I couldn’t wait to dig in. I can’t begin to tell you how good it was! It was well worth the wait. Since I already had two appetizers and like three pops I could only eat one slice but my husband got two down cause he didn’t want to stop eating it. Our server was nice enough to put the left overs in two plastic do go containers that way we could put them in our cooler(we came prepared for leftovers!) The leftovers still tasted awesome and I made everyone at work jealous when I brought it to work. This location was excellent and their customer service is spot on! I will hopefully be back some day.

My last meal in chicago was filled with gooey delicious pizza and lasgna that was relatively cheap for lunch. They had a lunch menu where everything was under $ 10 and you get your main entrée which they had 3 types of deep dish 6′ pizzas, lasagna and pasta, a side which they had fries and salads and a drink(soft drink)…their deep dish pizza was quite heavy, I could say that I could not eat more than 2 slices… expect leftovers
