Tricom Computer

I live nearby, and have driven by this place numerous times. I had a relatively new laptop that was just out of warranty that I suspected had a motherboard issue, so I brought it into Tricom for analysis/​repair. Honestly I had to convince them to even open up the machine to take a look at it. After they looked at it for about 20 min, they tried talking me out of getting it repaired. It would take long and be very expensive. They suggested just buying a new laptop. I took back my laptop, and contacted Lenovo (the manufacturer) instead for repair. I ended up sending it to Lenovo instead, and they fixed it for under $ 90. I was really disappointed in the service at Tricom.

Roger and David are the best… I have been dealing with them for about 8 years… they repaired my systems at my restaurant and have dealt with all my recording studios computer needs… they have also built and rebuilt computers for me as well… service service service… they truly believe in that!!! And, their prices are more than fair!!!

I am a local Farmers Insurance Agent. Recently, while on line, I had a pop up, which told me it was running a scan and told me I had many problems. By the time I realized what it was doing, it was too late. I contracted a virus on both hard drives of my main computer. My anti-​spyware and anti-​virus programs did not help. I could not get my computer to start up, even in safe mode.
I brought it to Roger and David at TriCom Computers, 800 Ogden Ave Suite 1, Downers Grove, IL (look for the orange and blue awnings). It is a 2 story building on the North side of Ogden across from Bradford and Kent. In 3 days they had it restored and I did not lose any data. I did have to reload some minor software, The computer is running like new. Roger told me if this ever happens on a desk top, immediately pull the power plug. On a lap top remove the battery or power it down with the power switch. It is the virus is trying to gain enough time to install itself onto your hard drive.
Thanks, David and Roger! You have gained a loyal customer. No more Micro Center/​Best Buy or Fry’s for me. You are my computer source.

We have had both of the owners of Tricom, Roger and David, put together eight computers for our office and two for my home. They are the best!
