2 stars just because of the food.
Employees have an unhappy look on their face.
They take a long time to put out an order. My biggest gripe: they don’t set out the condiments for you to use yourself as all other places do. They keep the chile & lime juice behind the counter and seem to have an attitude when you ask to have some.

So I went to try it out I love bionicos but this place horrible worst service I’ve had at one. I ordered a agua de Sandia and a vita mix took like 30 min and ther person that came after me got there juice first never coming back

Today I seen a little girl walking around in the back area while they are making all of the drinks and fruits and stuff. She didn’t have a hair net on or anything and she was walking around. I really don’t think it’s sanitary. Sorry

The food is really really good here but service is SLOW very slow. They have amazing «antojitos» very authentic they just need to work on their time service. They need to have the ladies there move a little faster

I have been here 3 times and have tried the mango raspado and mangonada, place is nice and clean but I gave it 2 stars because of very slow service and on the mangonada they put just a few mango slices, and for $ 4 dollars I expect more than shaved ice and powder chilli, I pointed out to the manager that their kitchen flow is a mess, when you order thay have 2 printers one is your receipt and the other they put it where they serve the drinks, why they dont have screens? or like a mic and the cashiers call in the order, for 20 min I saw employees (there were 4) bump in to each other, is not that they are under staff there is no flow when an order goes in, is not fun to wait 20 min for a raspado, next time I will go across the street and try the other place

My go to fruit place on my way to work! They also have really delicious breakfast egg sandwiches. Do yourself a favor and place a phone order or your experience may not be as pleasant. If the phone line is busy or they fail to answer, it’s just because they are busy so give it a few minutes and try again. The restaurant is maintained clean and the employees are all friendly enough.

I really really like this place.
What I love most about it is that they have very healthy options and then your typical Mexican Bionico options that have more sugar and stuff.
The prices are super cheap and the ladies that work there are very helpful. It does take a while but hey, it’s fresh.
I like this place more than Las Palmas (right down the street and their competition) because it’s not as unhealthy! The stuff here is fresh and really really good with a good price. If I go to Las Palmas it’s because I’m in a super fat comfort food mood but Bionicos Plus is good for when you want something fresh and healthy and not Jamba Juice. Love this place
I always get their watermelon water and their oatmeal. My mom gets the healthy juices. Everything is really good here!

I love this place. So much different types of yummy food. I like everything there. I did try their yogurt parfait and it’s delicious. Don’t know how they make it but it’s not sour at all.

First time here and I love it!!! Everything was really good price lady’s were nice with my aunt and cousin’s we live in harbor city and were around we decided to come in it was a great experience I would definitely drive so far to come here again

Service is horrible! I’ve been here 2x and now I remember why. They take so so so long. I ordered a raspado and small bionico and that took 25 minutes to get out. When questioned they said it was on its way…10 minutes later nothing. Go somewhere else and save ur time, or if I wasn’t so lazy I could of cut up and cleaned up the fruit at home during the same time. They have no sense of urgency.

Its very cheap and delicious! But they do have a B rating. I came on a saturday and it was packed. It took a bit to get. My order but it was well worth it.

I ordered the Oatmeal and it was really good! I liked that it includes fresh bananas and strawberries, I will definitely order it again!

Stopped by to get some jiaba (crab) plate and walked out with cueritos (pig skin). I did not realize it till I got to work. I called them to report it and they offered to correct my order but I’ll need to bring in the wrong stuff in. I mentioned I’m at work and can’t return back. She took my number and name but never called me back. For being my first time visit, I’ll never go back due to a simple order mistake. I’ll stick with palmitas down the street.
Had to throw away the pig skin. Waste of 6 $

This is by far the best place in Downey for any & all your fruit cravings.smoothies.bionicos.sandwiches and much more. In the words of California’s favorite mayor, «I’ll be back».

Soooo it’s Sunday afternoon and it seems I’ve been waiting forever. Before I walked in there were 3 customers after me now the place is full.
The lady at the register is definitely not friendly. She’s not mean either just very serious.
The problem here isn’t the people working but the fact that it’s under staffed. I see the ladies in the back working at a pretty good pace but for some reason I’ve been waiting for 20 minutes for one drink.
I’m not too sure I’ll come again.

Let me start with how clean the place is, the kitchen is spotless, I had to wash my hands and they allowed me to use their rr which was all the way in the back of the store so I had to pass through the kitchen. The bathroom smells like flowers! The floors are swept and the tables are constantly being wiped down. The service could be better, they don’t really make eye contact or greet you as you walk in, who knows, maybe they’re shy! The Nachos and the Napolitana are a delicious snack that you can share! Nachos chips are homemade and warm upon order and the fruit in the Napolitana is also freshly cut when you order. I also recommend the Elote cocido, they use legit cheese straight from Mexico which makes the corn concoction 100x better!

First of all this ladies that work here all had a bad attitude, second I ordered a chocolate dipped strawberry it took them over 20 minutes but I walked up to the register n said I had to go to work. When they finally gave me that one strawberry it looked like they just dipped it in chocolate milk and still have me dirty looks because I rushed them. Worst experience ever. Never again.

I like coming here for green juice. The place can get busy so I try to call in my order ahead of time. The staff is nice and attentive to the patrons anytime I’ve been here. They accept debit/​credit and you can sign for your purchase on a touch pad. Bonus points for being so techy and convenient. It would be a 5 star review BUT I can’t ignore the B grade from the public health Dept. This means there was a combination of minor and sometimes major findings during the inspection.

Bionicos Express is located in an old strip mall on Florence in the city of Downey. It’s sandwiched between several independent businesses. It’s grown in size in the recent years and also in popularity.
Bionico translated to English is basically fruit salad covered in sweet cream with raisins, coconut, granola, and almond slivers. The exact concoction will vary from location to location and you can alter it. It’s a delicious snack that is partially a healthy alternative and at the same time full of sugar. It’s perfect on a warm day!
This is basically a snack place that serves plenty of other items as well. What I love about this place is the healthy alternatives that are available. The have chia fresca which I love! There is a variety of fresh smoothies and juices as well. They also serve wheatgrass and quail egg shots! In addition to all of these healthy options they have salads, sandwiches, desserts, and even crepes. The list of options at this place is endless. I don’t think I’ve ever walked out without buying something because they always have something that will satisfy my craving.
My one and only complaint is the wait. The wait comes with a very good reason though! Everything is made fresh to order. There are several a la carte items that you can just pick up to go but if you’re ordering just about anything else, they will be a wait. The kitchen is completely open which gives great transparency to the business and their practices. Everything tastes so fresh and delicious.
Among some of the items I’ve tried from here are their smoothies, juices, tosti mariloco (seafood salad with tostada chips), strawberry bionico, and quesadillas. The snacks are Hispanic/​Mexican-​American influenced. You can alter any of the items by adding something extra or removing from the ingredients.
If you’re patient and in the area, I would recommend this great spot to anyone. There’s plenty of free parking but it does get busy.

This place offers a variety of blended drinks, juices, raspados, & Mexican snacks.
We ordered the Escamocha, which was packed with freshly cut fruit swimming in freshly squeezed OJ; and also got the #10 Berry Good Smoothie, which tasted like your average berry smoothie. Everything tasted fresh and was made to order. Our drinks cost about $ 5 each.
