Decided to invite my wife to DD today to give it a try; unfortunately their coffee’s flavor is less than what is desired or expected for a chain like this, same goes for their sandwiches. Only donuts sustain their reputation. I won’t come back for sure.

Their coffee lids are unique, their coffee itself could be a bit better. However, I had little to complain about their donuts. I would really reccomend their cream filled German one. And you can always visit since they are open till very late, or even 24 hours?

I have visited both long beach and downey locations. I don’t get the hype at all. The donut texture is weird, like eating a donut from a box at a grocery store. I like my donuts soft and fluffy not tough and dense. The coffee is just meh. I make better coffee at home. So dunkin donuts… peace out and later for u. I won’t be back unless im desperate. Lol

I haven’t had Dunkin Donuts since they left San Diego a few decades ago. They’re finally making their way back to the west coast. While they don’t have any yet in the San Jose area, I was able to get some Dunkin Donuts on a recent trip to LA. After eating a few munchkins, all I have to say is… you didn’t need to come back. Seriously, what the hell happened??? I got a box of regular glazed, chocolate(which was my favorite), and blueberry. Glazed was super tough, chocolate was ok, but again, tough. The blueberry munchkin was my «favorite» if I had to pick one. I also got a few regular donuts and again, it tasted like a grocery store donut. Actually, grocery store donuts are better! I also heard their iced coffees are the s%#@!!! That’s fairly accurate. Just take out the word«the» and it’s a perfect description. I had a regular iced coffee with cream and sugar. Tasted more like iced water with sugar crystals and cream with 2 drops of coffee extract. I could barely taste any coffee. Yes, I usually go to specialty coffee shops(Philz coffee, anyone?), so I usually like stronger coffee, but at least McDonalds has more coffee flavor. The service was ok. But, when I asked if a certain donut had nuts, they had to ask a few people, even call someone on the phone, and still couldn’t decide if it did. In this day and age of nut-free diets, I would think this information would be easy to find.

Not a donut fan, so can’t really judge them on their donuts. I’ve had DD coffee on the east coast and it’s just as good here! They’ve perfected the regular coffee and iced coffee. If you’re a major caffeine addict like me this place is great and the fact that it’s open 24hours a day is just lovely.

The Downey Dunkin’ Donuts has been here for over a year now I think… And I just recently visited it for the first time. My first time to a DD too. What better way to approach the holidays, right? PRICE $ 9.99 for a dozen. Not bad, not bad… SERVICE Nice for the most part. Helpful. DONUTS Chocolate Glaze — I tried just a small bite, but the chocolate was unexpectedly weak. If you can’t handle overly sweet chocolate stuff like I can, then this is the donut for you. Maple Frosted — Of all the donuts we chose, I thought I would dislike this one the most, yet, I would choose this one again… Strawberry Frosted/Sprinkles — our toddlers enjoyed theirs for the most part. They don’t eat too many sweet items, so I was worried the frosting would be overbearing. It wasn’t at all. Vanilla Frosted/Sprinkles — another set of donuts for our toddlers(reheated for Monday morning.) Like the strawberry, I was fed a bite by our youngest. While I’m not a fan of this one or the strawberry, my kids were fine with it being reheated. Not overly sweet. I tried a couple of others, but I don’t know what they were called. One was a chocolate variation of some sort with some sprinkles on it — «manager’s special.» Another was sprinkled with chopped peanuts. I just wasn’t crazy about any of them. Local ma & pa shops offer more hot, more fresh, & better tasting donuts. PARKING&DRIVE-THRU Now that the newness has worn off quite a bit, the parking lot and drive-thru are not packed at all hours of the clock. We visited during an early evening on a Friday(11÷20÷15). Parking was plentiful as was seating inside. STUFFTHATTICKSMEOFF All the damn DD trash flying around — particularly in the Big 5 parking lot. NEEDTOTRY Their coffee. Many have told me to go there for their coffee — «they’re not really a donut place.» Why is «donut» still in their namesake then? Review #430 Unilocal challenge 111

We brake for donuts. Especially really GREAT donuts like Dunkin’ Donuts used to sell. I’d heard rumors. Dunkin’ Donuts’ not what they used to be. Today I discovered that’s very true. * * * * * * * * PRICE: Bought half dozen donuts for about $ 6. PRODUCT 1. Boston Cream. Flavorless. Hard to find cream. Won’t buy again. 2. Old Fashion. Light, fluffy texture. Allspice predominant flavor. Won’t buy again. 3. Chocolate Glaze. Light texture. Faint taste of chocolate. Glaze too thin. Won’t buy again. 4. Lemon-filled Coated with Powdered Sugar. Substantial texture — pillowy soft. Tangy filling, just enough to adequately flavor donut. Definite winner. * * * * * * * * SEATING Inside is nicely appointed, über clean. Lots of chairs and tables. Second seating area is an open covered patio. Lots of comfy arm chairs surrounding coffee tables. Third seating area is open. Short stucco wall separates picnic tables/benches from sidewalk and parking lot. * * * * * * * * We visited the store around noon on a week day. The pantry was filled with donuts and bagels. Lots of variety. They sell coffee and sandwiches, too.

It’s was OK, not what I expected. This was my first and probably last time. The cashier was non enthusiastic, I asked about which donuts were most popular she said, there is no popular one. I got a half dozen assortment and it was ok. I did like the glazed blueberry. Krispy Kreme all the way!

First I wanna say. I love Dunkin Donuts and was so excited that they came back to California. I have always had a pleasant experience at any location I have been to. But today was probably the worst. The employees are always pleasant. People were polite and helpful and got our orders correct. But today, the employee, named Daniel was rather rude, seemed clueless in what he was doing, and seemed very impatient. Also seemed to rush people. Had to have the manager come over and help him many times. Same thing happened when my friend and her mom ordered. He was rather rude, got the order messed up several times and had an attitude when he was corrected. I will keep coming to Dunkin but did NOT like this employees’ behavior.

Arrived in the L. A area at around 5am from Northern Cali and craved dunkan donuts. This was the location we found that was closest to us. The donut selections were varied and the coffee was good too. The donuts were also pretty moist and yummy.

First and last time here! Driving by decided to give it a chance! Ice Coffee was ok nothing worth driving around town for! Long John donut was alright, to cold for my taste! But what did stood out was the bad service! Why do people work at places they hate?

I am a fan of this location. Easily accessible from the freeway and it has a drive through. I went inside to order my coffee & donuts. The woman in front of me ordered over $ 100 worth of food. I couldn’t figure out what she had ordered and realized it was a HUGE order of several boxes of Boxes of Joe and donuts. I was worried it would take awhile for me to get my order, but nope. The staff was able to accomodate me and other customers, while politely continuing to assist this mega order. Nice sitting area inside and outside.

On request of my daughter we visited this Dunkin Donut branch. She had been at DD in Hamburg with her cousin a few weeks ago and since 3 weeks she told us again and again, that she also gladly wanted to go to a branch here in the USA. I knew Dunkin Donuts already«by sight», but so far I’ve only been there a few times ti get a coffee to-go. It is located in Downey District, south of downtown LA and without GPS we wouldn’t have found this shop. Downey is a nice residential area, which I already knew, because some years ago I visited the«aunt my uncle» who lived there. Overall, we were very excited about this store. Tasty Donuts and lots of choices. There is also a free wifi and a tastefully decorated dining room. We found it was very nice there.

What makes my night a great night? Hanging out with my kid, just two of us having donuts. It was just a random thing since I suddenly had a craving for a donut. The place is clean and has comfortable seating. This place even has semi-outdoor seating. Free Wi-Fi as well which is plus for my kid to watch his favorite YouTube. I enjoyed my short and quick night out with my kid here.

Who else is open in the middle of the night besides the usual suspects: IHOP, Denny’s, Norm’s…etc. This place is open 24⁄7(drive thru). Wish they were all open 24⁄7 but I’m just thankful that we have one in SoCal that is. I’m from the Midwest where Dunkin’ Donuts reigned and coming out here… sorry Yum Yum, but you don’t compare. And the coffee… don’t even get me started, bomb, especially for a franchise. Staff there is friendly and willing to check what donuts are still available… even at 3 in the morning… at the drive thru… when there are other cars waiting.

Dunkin Donuts coffee is name I’ve heard throughout the years, never really cared until one opened in my hood. I happily drove down to see what all the fuss was about. Is their coffee really that good??? I’m happy to report that DD has some seriously good coffee! I’ve been able to taste their coffee several times now and I’ve done a few combinations, even went with regular iced coffee and I have to admit that it is great coffee! You can’t beat the size of the coffee either. Their small coffee must be the size of Starbucks grande. Aside from the obvious donuts, they have breakfast and snack menus. I’ve had their veggie flatbread breakfast sandwich and it’s really tasty. The combo comes with yummy tater tots. I’ve also tried their Texas toast and it’s super delicious too. Granted it’s not gourmet food but for being what it is, a fast food style drive thru, the gastric experience is pretty good! Now for the donuts. I admit, I am not a donut fiend. I can’t get into this whole donut craze everyone is going through. Donuts can send me into sugar overload make me feel nauseated. However, I’ve not been disappointed by any of the donuts from DD. They even make fun holiday shaped donuts! Be warned that powdered donuts should be eaten with caution or else you will get powder every where! I’m glad for the new addition to Downey! I sincerely hope Dunkin Donuts thrives here.

People in the East Coast constantly rave about how good Dunkin Donuts is and how when they visit the West Coast they wish there were more Dunkin Donuts. Allow me to say that the only redeeming quality of DD is the free wifi they provide — seriously. The breakfast food is only ½ a step better than McDonalds and has probably shortened my life a few days. The donuts, however, are pretty good and there’s an extra flair of festivities during the holidays as they are decorated in festive colors. The donuts taste like any other donut though, which is not a good sign. I can pick up the same dozen donuts at a hole-in-the-wall Mexican-Asian owned donut shop for 30−40% the price. When buying from DD, you’re basically buying the brand. If you’re a solo fatty, do your wallet a favor and stop by the nearest donut shop. If you’re picking up donuts for the office or a gathering of sorts, it might benefit you to pay extra for the DD branded donuts. Lastly, someone screwed up big time designing this location. There are two cashiers for a huge line in the morning. It’s like Starbucks but worse because people spend so much time picking donuts. Pros: There are only a few in SoCal so it’ll never get popular Cons: The wait is absurd

First visit here was a week after they opened, so they were forgiven for getting my order wrong. We did drive through, so I didn’t discover the error until I sat down at home ready to eat. Second visit, I was brought here since I their iced green tea had piqued my curiosity. I wait for about 15 mins in line, only to discover upon ordering it, that it wasn’t available. It was clearly still listed on their lit-up menu, and when I asked if they will be making more, I was just told again, «we don’t have that», unclear if I could have waited for a freshly brewed cup. We bought doughnuts and a bagel anyway since we had waited in line. Third visit… again, no indication they were out of their glazed doughnut holes(«munchkins») until we got up to the register. Once again, unclear if we could wait for a fresh batch, or if they were done making them for the day. While we waited to reach a cashier, a different worker walked up to us to ask if we will be ordering any beverages. My buddy ordered a coffee, but when we got up to the register, he changed his mind to decaf. He told the cashier he’d like a decaf instead, but was then handed the regular coffee cup and told, «she already made it». The cashier rang him up for it and that was that. He paid for coffee he ended up not drinking. Apparently you’re not allowed to change your mind here.

The line finally calmed down. I will not wait 2 hours for coffee and donuts. I went at around 6:00pm and there were no cars in the Drive Thru! yayyy!!! I ordered different types of donuts: powdered, glazed, sugar, chocolate glazed, double chocolate, and regular chocolate. I also ordered some munchkins, I asked the girl to pick whatever she wanted as long as they were all different. The pumpkin munchkin and the blueberry ones were heavenly. I also ordered a pumpkin iced coffee with cream and sugar and those were the best $ 2.00 I have spent. Coffee had a pumpkin taste, not too sweet, not too bitter, just a cup of deliciousness. I haven’t tried other coffees because this one is too good. The total was around twelve bucks for all that. The old fashioned donuts have been my faves. I still prefer Krispy Kreme for glazed donuts. A lot of people mentioned that they like the east coast donuts better and I definitely agree but these are still pretty good. Try the pumpkin latte and munchkin while they last. They are addicting.
