Just had MKB remodel My bath and I am Supper Happy!!! with the outcome! Had 5 contractors come in and look at the project 2 out of the 5 didn’t even bother getting back to me. So it was down to 3. First guy was kind of past his prime to put it in a polite way.
one guy was crazy on pricing and seemed kind of shaky– didnt have an office or website and was nervous when i asked about insurance. So that left MKB from initial visit Jonathan was extremely attentive, informative and over all easy going when being bombarded by my questions. He helped me with color scheme and tile layout put everything on paper. after looking over all the details, I decided to go with my gut and sign with them. Whole process was super smooth– from demo to finishing fixtures. The whole process took 3 weeks. ONE WEEK UNDER DEADLINE!!! I Highly recommend Jonathan and his staff to any one looking to remodel!!! (YOU WONT REGRET IT!!)

Where do I start? …Remodeling a house is never an easy job. When I bought my house I was extremely excited to remodel it with the $ 30,000 I saved from the purchase price. Little did I know… First contractor came and quoted me $ 75,000 for remodeling 1 bathroom, install new floors, new kitchen and custom bunk beds. Second contractor quoted me around the same. So here I thought that’s the going rate. After carful research on houzz and Unilocal,I decided to contact MKB Home Designs. Best move I’ve made in a long time. I worked with the project manager Minh and the owner Jonathan and it has been a life changing experience. I’ve never thought my house would turn out the way it is now. To wake up everyday with a smile on my face when I walk into my kitchen is priceless. They were both very knowledgable and responsive. The best part was I didn’t have to pay $ 75,000 to get it done!!!
The materials MKB used is great quality. I’ve been to homes where the kitchen looks awesome but they feel cheap and seems like they won’t last. I’ve also seen ikea kitchens warp and scratch because they aren’t solid wood.
One tip I would like to give is that… out of the entire house, we use the kitchen 95% of the time. I almost, always step into my Kitchen everyday. Why go cheap on the kitchen then? What I learned is don’t go cheap on the kitchen. Spend a little more and do it right with good quality so it lasts. You use it everyday, make it last.
I’ll let the pictures speak for themselves. I still have my master bathroom, 2^nd guest bath and third guest bath I’m planning to have MKB remodel. Do yourself a favor and save the headaches, just call MKB home Designs!

I am not one to take the time to write reviews, but the amazing work quality and service that Johnathan and the team and the MKB team performed for me truly deserves mention. I just went through a full remodel of my home that took over a year to complete. I have dealt with contractors and sub-​contractors through every trade this year, which has been an extremely stressful experience especially since I know nothing about construction. In addition, I would say that my expectation of quality and service is extremely high and maybe a bit over the top. With that said, I met with 6 companies. I selected MKB to handle the remodel of the Kitchen and a bathroom vanity. Jonathan was truly the difference, he came out with his team to obtain measurements. He provided me with design ideas, suggestions on materials and even better, provided me with pricing options for affordability. He created a 3D rendering of the kitchen which was helpful to make decisions. Of the 6 companies, MKB beat out most if not all of the bids. Ultimately, I decided to go with custom white cabinets with inset doors and a large island with a range. Once the cabinets were built, Jaime and his team showed up and my kitchen was completed in less than 3 days. The process was smooth, excellent quality and the overall result is exactly what I was looking for. My kitchen is absolutely beautiful and I have received many compliments on the work detail. I have already referred Jonathan and his team to one of my friends who provided favorable reviews. Her kitchen looks amazing. I will say that from my entire remodel experience, the Kitchen was the project that was completed to perfection with little to NO STRESS at all. I have already called them several times to discuss future projects for my home. As a home owner, it is stressful and difficult to find companies who you can trust to do a great job. MKB is a great company who provides great quality and service. I hope this review helps some in the decision to select MKB!

I recently had my kitchen and bathrooms remodeled by MKB. They did an amazing job from beginning to end. Like most, I shopped around before committing to MKB and I have to say that I was not disappointed. They had the best price, quality materials and professional timeline. The owner Jonathan was very accommodating to my vision and used his expertise to complete my kitchen and bathrooms. Thank you Jonathan and the crew, now I feel like a king every time I sit on my throne! Well done!

These guys are fantastic. All the workers were respectful, clean and receptive. Jonathan uses modern technology and it was so easy to communicate with him. He made sure EVERYTHING was taken care of and went above and beyond on my project. Very pleased overall.

I found Mkb on Unilocal after searching for months for a kitchen design store. Gave them a call. Jonathan the owner came to my house and gave me some great ideas. I called several highly rated Unilocal remodeling firms, however most of them took a long time to respond to my questions and were way over my budget. Jonathan gave me the high-​end look I was going for without breaking the bank. He was extremely quick to respond to emails and was always available. When I went into his showroom I was beyond surprised at how nice everything looked. This showroom had EVERYTHING I needed and I ended up letting Jonathan pick the materials. He also told me that he renovates and stages homes, so I I knew he had a real eye for design. It took his crew 2 weeks to complete my kitchen and Jonathan was always coming by my house throughout the process. Overall it was a GREAT EXPERIENCE and now I can relax and enjoy my KITCHEN.

The crew at MKB did a fantastic job on my bathroom upgrade. The owner was very quick to quote me and help me understand the process. All the workers were on time and they finished ahead of schedule. I am giving them 5 stars because the process went so smooth and everything was outlined on the contract. It was so helpful to have a payment schedule and day by day calendar of work being done at the house. You will not be disappointed with this company!

A close friend highly recommended Jonathan for his outstanding remodeling services. He was full of good ideas and very patient when selecting materials. Jonathan even took the time to take us to the slab yard to select our counters. The reason why I am giving 5 stars is because Jonathan took the time to email me three designs to help me with the final decision. I cannot stress enough how important the kitchen layout is when remodeling your kitchen!

I made an appointment with Jonathan for an estimate on a bathroom remodel. Jonathan agreed to stop by to provide the estimate after he closed up the store. I made sure my husband and I were home at the appointed date/​time and to my disappointment nobody from Maxwell’s showed up. I did not receive a courtesy phone call either. I suppose they do not need new clients, but at the very least I expected a courtesy phone call notifying me that our appointment would be cancelled or rescheduled. We will be taking our business elsewhere.

I hired MKB Home Design to do a complete remodel on my master bathroom. I was so impressed with their workmanship and the quality of their cabinets and quartz countertops (dovetail drawers, soft close all standard) that I enlisted them to do two additional bathroom vanities while they were there. They were not only able to accommodate my requests, but still managed to complete my project before my target date!
Sergio is a master craftsman whose meticulous attention to detail transformed my ugly 80’s bathroom into a modern spa-​like retreat. If you can envision it, they can build it!
Jonathan was a delight to work with. Unlike many contractors, he actually communicates well. If there is a question or concern he is on it immediately. He coordinates all the trades so that the work is completed in the most expeditious way possible. His workers are courteous, protect your property and clean up daily.
Most importantly, the job is not finished until you are completely satisfied, and that’s about the highest endorsement I can give any contractor!

We just finished a complete kitchen and bath remodel on our rental duplex in Culver City and I cannot thank Jonathan and his guys from MKB enough for the incredibly fast and professionally done job they did for us.
I was under a very tight deadline to completely remodel a 750 sq ft unit in 5 weeks before new tenants were to move in. Of all the kitchen and bath remodel companies I called, Jonathan and MKB responded the fastest (same day) and I really appreciated that he gave me not only a quote, but also had a 3D layout done and emailed to me the same day he came out to the property. Was so impressed by this that I decided I didn’t need to wait for any other quotes; we picked out materials the next day and demo started 2 days later. I was promised that the job would be completed in 3 weeks (I was very skeptical about this), and it was actually done almost a full week early. I cannot recommend Jonathan enough; he was phenomenal. He was always available if I ever had any questions or concerns; he was more than happy to talk to my other contractors who were working on electrical and plumbing when questions arose that I had no clue about. Any time I had a question or concern, he called me in 5 minutes or less to help me out. His guys were willing to coordinate with my other guys who were working (the unit had so many people at it working on several different things at once) and they never once complained, even when the other guys kicked them out a couple times.
Top notch service worth every penny we paid. Will def use for all future projects at our other properties. Would highly recommend.

I just want to thank the staff for doing such a marvelous job on my bathroom. I met with many contractors and visited several showrooms however Jonathan was just more helpful and full of great ideas. He made the selection process so easy and was always available for my questions. His communication throughout the process is the main reason why I am giving them 5 stars. Our experience with MKB was incredible. They were extremely responsive, well organized, fast, considerate, and professional. Basically all we could ask for! Our kitchen came out ammmmazing. Jonathan was great to work with and was really helpful with picking out finishes and determining the flow of the kitchen. I thought that going through the city and pulling permits would be difficult, however Jonathan took care of everything and they finished ahead of schedule. Meet with Jonathan one time and you will not look elsewhere!

Ravi and the guys at Maxwell’s do very good work from start to finish. I am very happy with the completed kitchen and people tell it looks like it could be featured in a magazine.
Ravi gave me great design suggestions and he updated me everyday during construction. The crew was flexible and responsive when I requested some changes mid project.
The price was fair and I received good quality at a reasonable price. They didn’t nickel and dime me.
I was very satisfied and would recommend them to my friends.

I used the service this past July and service was great. The guys know how to please their customers. The design center is nice. I had a kitchen island done. Though the service met my expectations, there are a few things I must note.
The team that did the granite were a bit unprofessional. They did not cut the slab neatly. There was a bad patch on the surface, and instead of cutting that off, they left it on the slab. And I am stuck with that forever.
Also after the slab was placed on top of the cabinet, the weight caused the cabinet edges to deform a bit. It took me almost 2 weeks to have that repaired. It took repeated phone calls and message so that was a bit unpleasant.

I am changing the rating from a previous 3 stars to 5 stars. Simply because Ravi took the initiation to resolve the problem I was stuck with. In the end, all’s well that ends well. Actually it turned out better than the original install overall (not just fixing the problem). Agreed it did take a few months between when the island was first installed and everything was resolved but the end result is better. The whole process was smoother 2^nd time around.

Ravi and Jonathan did such a beautiful job on my custom cabinets and silestone counters.
I recently found them through Unilocal,and they did such a great job throughout the process that the two weeks flew by.
Ravi went above and beyond my expectations to supervise and answer any of my questions.
This company does great work, and more so, they offer reasonable prices.
2014 is looking so bright with my new kitchen!

Jonathan and Ray went above and beyond with their remodel for our family kitchen. Both are such hard workers and made the process incredibly easy for us. Jonathan answered all the questions we had and he incorporated his design ideas that matched our likings. Their workers are also respectful and hard working as well. I do not have one complaint about this business. They did such a great job with our kitchen, which is tons better aesthetically and functionally than before.

Well hello hotties! Busted my bum through crazy traffic to check out their selection and get a quote. I thought the process could be a little more organized. I made it clear I was working on a tight timeline when I came into the store. I was promised an emailed quote in two days. Five days later, I received a half-​quote. I asked for the other half of my quote. Over a week later I got my full quote and a sort-​of apology about him/​them being on vacation or something. Due to my timeline and my fear that their front-​end sales delays would continue or exasperate if I hired them for my job, I took my business elsewhere. It’s a shame, really. I would have loved to watch those hotties in action.
Other important info: decent style, grade, and type selection; untimely quotes and correspondences, dusty and cobwebby showroom, showroom behind Porto’s bakery, staff were nice and knowledgeable.

The work Maxwell’s kitchen did was exceptional. I had the pleasure of dealing with lead designer Jonathan, who is precise with his math and pragmatic design and very considerate of my budget. What I liked most about Jonathan was his patience, knowledge and attention to detail. I felt I was thoroughly taken care of.
When I requested referrals, I was given several numbers and everybody I contacted had nothing but positive things to say about Maxwell’s.The crew was very professional, clean, and punctual, ensuring my satisfaction after every phase of the project.
The cabinetry was of high quality and he even helped me select all of my Rev-​a-​Shelf accessories online. Frank installed all of my cabinets and is truly a master of cabinetry! If possible, request him for the installation. Fam, friends and neighbors, my rec goes to Maxwell’s!
