Olive Garden Italian Restaurant

I just had lunch here. Since I am allergic to dairy, I was sure to ask the server whether the salad/​dressing and minestrone soup contained dairy. She warned me of eggs in the dressing, which I clarified aren’t dairy, but I still double-​checked with her to see whether there were any other dairy ingredients, and she confirmed there aren’t. It hasn’t been long since I ate, but I am starting to feel ill. A simple online search led me to the ingredients of the dressing, and cheese which is dairy) is an ingredient. Now, I am sick because of the server’s incompetence and complete negligence in handling my allergy.
Avoid this place if you have any food allergies/​dietary restrictions.

The restaurant was pretty busy, but to my surprise our wait time was only 15 minutes. We were seated at our table and the waitress orders our drinks. We wait five minutes and our drinks are nowhere in sight. It’s Father’s day and the restaurant is pretty busy, fine. Our drinks finally come out 8 minutes later… that’s pretty average I guess. The waiting was not the problem for me. Our waitress seemed like she had been working all day and she was tired and hated her life… I’ve worked customer service and I get it, it sucks. The reason I rated 3 stars was because after all the waiting, the build up and the 20 dollar plates we had, I wasn’t impressed. The food was okay, but that’s all it was, okay. I should’ve left my shoes, nice slacks and pressed shirt at home and came in my flip flops and shorts… as many people were wearing at the restaurant. If Tony Soprano saw that he would roll in his grave. It’s just not authentic Italian food, maybe ten years ago it was different story, I think I remember Olive Garden being good once upon a time. I would’ve been happier going down the street and getting some tacos for a quarter of what we paid for and enjoyed them more. FORGEDDABOUTIT!!!

Nice atmosphere… good food and reasonable pricing.

We recently ordered out. I added chicken to a pasta dish & was told there would be an additional charge for that… no problem. My husband picked the food up on the way home and when we opened our food we found everything but the chicken we paid for. I called the restaurant and explained what happened to a hostess who assured me that her manager would be calling me back. The restaurant is 10 – 15 min away so driving back was an inconvenience. Needless to say we never heard back from anyone & will not be returning to this location.

I do come here because I love the toscana soup,
But today my server got it wrong, and when he brought me back the right one it was cold, so I waited for him to come back but it happens that he went to his 30min lunch so i had to wait for the other server to tell her. Our server Jacob was very nice and his customers service was really good, but the food was not that good.
Another thing I did not like was the new payment method they have, so complicated… we had a hard time paying at the iPad, it was not reading my card.
This restaurant used to be good in the past but it seems like it is loosing it lately…
So sad…

Terrible service at this location, food was great and prompt, however our server Amanda was lacking a sense of urgency not checking the beverages or anything for refills. The majority of the team she was no where to be seen, total bummer and pissed off the two people paying for dinner.

I went in last Tuesday night with my family and was seated fairly quickly, interestingly enough we where sat the last place I was sitting on my last visit to this Olive Garden. Our waitress was quick offering us a wine taste, taking down our drink orders, I will admit I was skeptical of eating here and the waitress could tell but she was always positive, the only mishap was that it took us 3 times to ask for breadsticks, before she actually brought them. but she ended up giving us ice cream on the house and bread sticks to go which I thought was very nice. Also, it’s noticeably distracting that the dirty tables are left dirty and only cleaned right before someone is going to be sat there even though the previous customers left a while ago. And then the dirty dishes where just transferred to another dirty table and left there. But oh well, the food was good and the waitress was very nice and happy.

What was supposed to be a quick lunch ended up being a horrible 2 hour experience. It took them at least 15 minutes to greet us and take our drink order and then once our server took our order it took them still this whole time of taking our drink order and then taking our entrée order and bringing us our drinks to bring out the bread! And then we waited almost another half an hour to get our food out. Our drink refill was very slow and we hardly saw our server, overall sad experience and won’t be returning.

My 2 little brothers wanted to come for their bdays. Awesome experience… food was on point drinks etc… Our server Jorge gave us phenomenal service. My brothers enjoyed their bday dessert. Thank you much Jorge Will be back!!!

Went tbere with some friends to eat and we were seated right away! Service was ok but what really pissed us off was that they took 50 min to bring our food out! There where 4 of us and a table next to us that arrived 10 mins later after we order got their food first and there where 10 of them really? They apperantly lost our ticket! By the time our food came out my appetite was gone i didnt even finish the dish from how mad i was! They need to keep better track of their order tickets!

Horrible service… I understand you are busy, but why quote time that you are not going to honor. People that got there after me got there order before. When i asked the waitress, how long it was going to take? She stated they were bagging it! 30 minutes later i was still waiting for my order. Not even an apology was given, Clearly not caring about their service!

It stinks in here. Sitting towards the back to the left of the entrance. Smells like feet and me and my date are so upset. The wait wasn’t a problem for a Friday night so it was expected. Luckily our waiter was nice and made sure we were taken care of. Sadly I can’t remember his name but remember his face.

I love olive garden, just wish they had just a shmidge lower prices and they soup, salad, bread sticks combo was only $ 5, (just saying), but im excited the buy one take one is back

I usually go to the one is Carson, but the service I experienced here was great Yasmine was an excellent waitress very attentive and promt, good attitude and great smile .
The ffod was delicious and fresh. I had fettuccini with chicken and shrimp. The endless salad and soup is what makes me come, because I always have something to take home. Good Job Olive Garden Downey Keep up the good service and fine food.

We were here for a reception for a funeral. The food was regular OG style nothing special it was the service that was disappointing. The restaurant was warned and booked that close to 60 people would be arriving for lunch first thing from a funeral at 11:30 and they were not ready. The schedule was not adjusted for a big group so the one person they had on for the section was overcome by the drink orders. It was a limited menu and we still got plates mixed up. I don’t think we’ll suggest this place again for such an event

went in on a Saturday afternoon and of course the longest waiting line, I went in with a party of 3 and they told us approximately a waiting of 30 – 35 minutes but we were called in about 10 minutes
They immediately gave us a glass of wine and served our salad and soup and shortly after we were given our dinner
It’s always a pleasure having dinner here and I don’t know if it’s just my luck but I always have an awesome experience and great costumer service best service than any other restaurant

This was the most horrible experience I’ve ever had at a restaurant. We came here and of course it was packed. We waited about 15 min to be seated. Not bad. The waiter was really nice, very professional and attentive. No complaints there.
We ordered our food.
He got us our drinks, n soups and bread. The bread was hard.
Then it all began. We waited… N waited… N waited. They sat 5 people next to us, 5 people next to that table n 2 people next to that one. They were all to the right of us. The whole left side was waiting like us. 15 min go by all the people who came after us got there meals. We waited 20 more min. No food. The waiter looked embarrassed. He warned us that they were under staffed n he apologized. Waited another 15 min. No food. People next to us finished n left n we were still waiting. He finally came out n said they were still working on our food n the manager was handling a problem. Wtf!!! 50 min went by no food. I told the server I was DONE! We were leaving, he told us he would box our food and that the manager took care of the bill. YEAH! I wasn’t going to pay for it anyway. Really 1 hour waiting and no food, no way! I said I just want to know how n why did the people to the right of us got their food first if they came after us. He then told me that two cooks decided to take a lunch break together! OLIVE GARDEN NEEDS TO GET THEIR SHIT TOGETHER! NEVER COMING HERE AGAIN! 0 stars

Waiting time is HORRIBLE. We waiting 1 hr and a half for our food. By the time it got here we were full on drinks and salad. What a waste of time and money!
Food was blah. Not as tasty as I remember it to be. Oh well.

Now i know why I don’t come here anymore. .Olive Garden that is .
One of the worst experiences ever.
Haven’t been here in years and the kids wanted to take us out for dinner. Well i guess we won’t be coming back at all.
There was a lot of people waiting with those pagers at the front door. I don’t mind waiting at all… it’s normal.
They sat us down… our server warned us that they were a bit under staffed tonight… we acknowledged. He brought us our drinks… left…took a whlie. a long while… very long while. We had to flag another server and asked for our food. Especially when 3 – 4 other tables that were seated quite a bit after us got their food… and we were still waiting for our soups and salads. Under staff my foot. .dude probably left for a break or lunch. Got the drinks wrong… food wrong… came back taking entrees that were still being worked on. Plus not telling the stupid LOUD YouTube watching couple to take it down a notch.

I really like it here but it can get very confusing.
Some waiters make exceptions and others don’t.
For example, Some say you can switch from soup to salad, others don’t allow it.
Some give you a side of tomato for free and others charge.
Some let you try different lemonades and still charge you for the same lemonade and others charge you like a new beverage without telling you.
But other than that, I love going in October for their unlimited pasta. You can never eat more than 1 ½ (or at least I can’t lol) but I love their angel hair pasta with Alfredo and sausage with tomato. If you go in October during their special, it’s $ 10.99, go any other time of the year and order the same pasta it’s about $ 18

Haven’t even eaten dinner yet but we are unhappy about the long stinkin wait time and the fact that it is SO hot. Their a/​c sucks in the lobby/​waiting area. People are fanning themselves and the host boy taking names is sweating like a pig and keeps telling the hostess how miserable it is in here. Their a/​c is not broke, they just need to turn it up and allow for the 1000 people standing all over one another in the waiting area. Perhaps I will update if the food knocks my socks off but I have eaten here enough to know that won’t happen. Food is mediocre, at best, so I am sure I won’t be thrilled.
UPDATE: I failed to mention above the reason why we were unhappy about the wait time. We were told 45 minutes, but the wait was actually 1 hour 15 minutes. Waiting an extra 30 minutes on top of an already very long wait time when you come to dinner before 5pm for the very reason to avoid the crowds just makes everyone unhappy. That, coupled with the fact that the air conditioning wasn’t working properly (and we are hungry!), just made this visit exponentially worse.
As for the food, it was ok. I don’t know why I am so critical about OG’s food. Maybe it’s that I don’t like waiting hours to eat average quality food (and that’s being nice). Or it could be that I am Italian and I know the difference between this and real good home cookin Italian. Or maybe it’s that everything here is pricy but not so good. I don’t know.
I just know that one of my favorite things here used to be the stuffed mushrooms and this time they were full of grainy salt from the clams that were stuffed inside and the amount of cheese vs. actual stuffing made them disgusting because it tasted like cheese chewy salt bites. Not appetizing and very disappointing.
The calamari wasn’t as good as usual, either. I could have sworn they used to include the whole little octopus pieces but this time it was only rings and they were really chewy.
Entrees were ok. Shrimp fettuccine was ok. Chicken parmigiana was good. Eggplant is thinner and more cheese than actual eggplant and both mom and I ordered it and we didn’t care for it at all. When you order eggplant you want to actually eat eggplant! The slices were shaved thin and while there wasn’t too much breading, it seemed like all sauce and cheese. Ugh. Not so good.
