Very poor customer service and little portions. During our visit, we experienced serving staff was not generous in portions and had to ask for more. I’ve never had to do that before in other Panda Express but it was very upsetting to have done that to this particular serving staff. On our check out, the cashier register was very rude. He didn’t want to accept our payment of a slight torn dollar bill. Instead he suggest for us to donate it, so we couldn’t accept it as a form of payment but could accept it as a donation. It was overall a very dissatisfied experience and upsetting. Probably won’t come to this specific location again.

So I go in I don’t see the manager but this girl there did the same thing she served you a ton of rice but very little of the entrees. I really think they cheat ppl out of the correct portions. I ask for beef and broccoli she grabs half a spoon of broccoli(No beef) I asked her«Really?», «can i get some beef please».

Chow mein and fried rice flavorless, really bland. Whoever cooked it doesn’t know what they’re doing. Noodles hard and rice was overcooked. Sweet & sour was over powering. Makes me think if they actually taste the food they serve

Disappointed in the amount of food served. Been to other pandas where more was served. Food Did not even reach the lid, about 1 scoop per item and plates are shallow anyway. Its probably just who serves you. For a guy, I went away still a little hungry.

This place is standard Chinese fast food. I bet the biggest complaint is the line is usually out the door. I think the only reason I still come here is to reminisce the days I was in college and needed a quick chicken bowl and I only had a student size wallet. I do remember the long lines then. Some things never change.

I’ve been a customer here for years, their new plates Carry less food they top their spoons and hit it so you only get half a serving. I left them no way am I paying 8 bucks fur half servings. They lost a long time customer.

This place has a huge crowd &, plenty of return customers Therefore the loooooong lines! These people love the food here obviously! Or there wouldn’t be a long line!!! I WOULDBEWORRIEDABOUTTHEPLACEIFITWEREEMPTYWITHNOLINES… So, return customers opt to wait in the long line because the wait is worth it obviously. Good fast food Chinese cuisine. My faves are: honey walnut shrimp(a must have!) Beef Beijing(yummy spicy &‘crispy!) &‘of course the tofu & eggplant Definitely NOT A HOLEINTHEWALL type place like Most small Mexican taco/burrito joints They have a bag of 8 pieces of fortune cookies in a red satin mesh pouch that makes a pretty small, gift for anyone for ONLY .99cents So I usually just grab $ 5 worth to give away at work. This place has been here forever &‘with their multitude of fans… Is not going anywhere! As u can see on the list THEREIS A PANDAXPRESSINEVERYCORNEROFEVERYCITY, SOATTHISPOINT, that SAYSITALL,!!!

Like any other Panda Express, they sell Chinese style fast food. Typical dishes like orange chicken and broccoli beef were decent. Not much to rave about. Problem with this location is portions are extreme small compared to many other locations. If you need something to fill you up, you’re going to have to look elsewhere.

I’m VERY surprised this Panda Express has such negative reviews. I visited this Panda Express on a busy Saturday afternoon and although there was a long line, it moved very quickly. The employees were friendly they smiled, offered me a sample, and remained attentive to all the guests. Also in my opinion, the portions they provide are pretty hefty. I got the 2 entrees and a side for about $ 7 and it was more than enough to fill me up. I’m one happy customer! I’ll be returning again.

I went today and there was a line, mostly because the patrons don’t speak English and have no idea what Chinese food is. When I got up to order the hispanic server, Geraldine, ignored me as if I was dead and helped 3 hispanic people behind me in line. I had to say EXCUSEME loudly 3 times to get her to make eye-contact with me. She then continued ignoring me and went on helping everyone in line behind me. It wasn’t until Tina at the register intervened that I had my order completed. The racism I experience from people like Geraldine sickens me and she should be fired. The food is good, but you have to tolerate the hood to get it.

Unilocal should have a dislike or a O star policy. This place will be a good candidate. I use to come to this place at least couple of times a week. I start noticing people who were nice ended up leaving this place. I came to this place to get some good food. Server was ok, I order some premium food lol that’s a joke and she told me when I can see the sign. Bad bad customer service. Worst panda location now. On top of it Cindy who was the manager she really need to get some customer service 101 classes. She lack customer service big time. I know panda is a big corporation and my 100 bucks a month won’t make a difference, but 100 bucks time 12 make a big number too bad panda no more panda for me I guess Panda Express don’t care

OMG… they were lucky to get ONE star out of me. I generally give most businesses the benefit of the doubt… but this guy was the manager serving up my food. Talk about cheap, to start they grab a SMALL takeout container, and this was the manager serving me, he deliberately avoids eye contact at all times, grabs as little as possible and spreads it around, the auntres what a joke, drops most of it before it gets to the plate, ONLY that ONE scoop is all you get, and again, spreads it around cause he KNOWS he is cheating you, right in front of your face. And still no eye contact, cause he knows he is guilty as sin, and had the knads to charge over $ 9.00!!! Can you say OUCH!!! Over at Zen Chinese Kitchen in the Downey Landing, for 8 bucks you get a GRIP of food, 3 auntres, that taste amazing… and they are NOT stingy on the portions, like these greedy corporate moochers at Panda. Trying to keep profits up, at the expense of the people by charging more and giving less. Basically SKIMMING money right out of the peoples wallets!!! I was watching them serve up the guy in front of me, ribs with almost NOMEAT on them, basically serves up bar-b-q bones. And the server took her time picking them out. Its not like she was rushing and not paying attention. LOL… I ONLY went in out of shear convenience, and not only was it skimpy, it taste sub-par for the money they charge and the fancy names they use. The food was so bland and tasteless, and cold by the time I got to eat it, I only drove 2 blocks back to work!!! And oh lets not forget, how they stop smiling, and cop an attitude if you don’t Donate a $ 1 to whatever charity they are plugging at the time… Like where is the smile now when you say NO to the donation. And then the snear you get when you ask for Soy sauce, cause they are too cheap to put it in the bag. Im like wow, could this be any worse??? And to think I waited in line for this. Lol… What a joke, NEVERAGAIN… I will stick to Zen…, superior quality, taste, portions and always a smile. Sorry Panda, you lost my business for good.

Ordered online and left specific directions on wanting teriyaki chicken and orange chicken with chow me in. I was in a rush since I ordered and paid ahead of time. When I opened the box all I got was brown rice and two sides of Beijing beef. disappointed and dissatisfied and customer service did nothing about it. Place wasn’t even busy. Either improve your website or get staff who can make orders correctly.

Three stars is about all this place deserves. And that’s being generous. It’s pretty lousy Chinese food as far as Chinese food goes, but Downey Chinese joints are dirty dumps so I refuse to eat at any b-rated whole in the wall with roaches and God knows what else. Lines are LONNNG. See my photos of the endless line. Service is pretty good. The employees seem to be hustling but I guess everyone just likes this overrated, over sauced, sodium overload Chinese stuff these days $ 7 for a two-item plate and $ 9 for a three-item plate. Good drink selection. I don’t drink soda so I appreciate the occasional fresh brewed tea and the zero calorie sobe drink. All-in-all, the food is okay. Nothing to write home about. We eat here between 3 – 4 a year. And that should be all you do, too.

Gosh, I haven’t eaten at a Panda Express in years. I’m probably not going back for a while just because it’s not really my thing, but for fast food, Downey’s was pretty decent. The line was longish at around 7:00 p.m. on 10÷26÷14, but it moved quickly once a few people up front quit taste-testing every frickin’ entrée. It’s cool that Panda Express lets you do that because I don’t remember an employee offering that back in the day when I first walked up to the counter. I have kids now, though, so I could be forgetting stuff… The layout has a nice flow for ordering. The menus still suck, though, but who really looks at it anyway. I ordered Orange Chicken, Honey Sesame Chicken, and fried rice. My meal was $ 6.70 with $.60 tax. My to-go box was packed pretty well. They didn’t skimp on anything. I tried ordering online before I came here, though, and the app was being slow. That’s not on my phone anymore. I was out in less than 10 minutes which was fine. I dislike this parking lot especially at night. It’s not well-lit and most of the spots in front are taken. And I don’t try to park up close unless it’s nighttime and/or I have my kiddos with me. My fortune cookie message said that I «will travel to many exotic places.» I look forward to it, Panda. What is life if you don’t experience it? Review #308

Chow mein and rice is always on point. I’ve tried many other Chinese food places but their rice and noodles always seem to be soggy and slimy. Panda keeps theirs more fresh and somewhat firmer which I love.
