Only place i’ll ever come for smog-​nice, professional, gets the job done! This is my second time here and it’s very very close to me. It’s so nice to have a place you can trust to work on your car.

For the smog check station only…
I think we’ve made an appointment only once out of the 3 times my husband has taken one of our vehicles to SB Automotive in Downey. There’s really no need for an appointment for just the smog station. They are that fast!
The hubby had to get a smog check yesterday. He arrived there at around 4:30 p.m. It didn’t take but 15 minutes for the whole process.
There is a $ 5 off check-​in offer, but I’m not sure if it’s still valid because my hubby doesn’t Unilocal.
I’m not sure if this is a flat rate per vehicle (and size of vehicle), but we were charged $ 60 for our test.
SB is no non-​sense. Efficient. Professional.
If I had any car issues that couldn’t be taken care of at home, I’d definitely get a quote from SB.
We highly recommend them for smog check-​ups.

Don’t let the name fool ya… SB Auto is so much more than a smog shop!
I came in to get a new alternator, or so I thought I needed a new alternator. My car’s been dying and I’ve gotten new batteries via AAA. So the AAA guy told me I needed a new alternator.
Thank goodness I didn’t go to their recommended shop! I came to SB Auto and they ran some tests… needless to say the alternator wasn’t the problem!
They are so fair and honest, which I really appreciate because I’m always nervous that I’m going to be taken advantage of by a mechanic :-P
So, I highly recommend SB Auto for little repairs to big overhauls. They’re upfront and you know that what you’re getting is what you need.

Just had my smog check done here on Thursday. I walked in with no appointment and Sean was super helpful and took my car in right away!
The older gentlemen who did the smog check was also nice. A man of a few words but he smiled A lot.
$ 60 total and about a 20 minute wait in a cozy waiting room with a comfy couch.tv.and plenty of magazines to choose from including Cosmo! Yay

I had gone to different place for my 05 Honda Civic and my 98 BMW 323is for service and for repairs but other places were giving me the round a round. I had found SB Automotive on Unilocal and check the place out and Brian checked my cars and explain to me straight to the point and did an awesome job on both cars, I recommend this place to anyone!!!

SB Auto Is AMA-​Zing! Great service, great prices. A friendly place and a Friendly Face! I highly recommend them. I don’t trust many mechanics, but I will always take my car to SB Automotive.
