I live on rives so this place is so close to me but I hate how bad the customer service is. When I go I always hope that it’s improved but it’s always worse. The cashiers are always talking amongst them selves which is fine but I felt like I was interrupting them. Today another cashier walked up to the cashier that was ringing my stuff up and I smiled at her but she looked mad. I’ll just stick with Albertsons.

Great butcher that will do custom cuts in the back. I always have different roasts combined and ground up for burgers, they do so with out grievance. The meat tastes fresh. As far as the market goes, its a market. The prices seem par for the course of the competition, possibly a bit on the high side but it depends on what you buy.

The meat department is great (great selection of meats and always a hand full of butchers to help) and it is one of the best staffed markets I have ever been to. I’ll never go to the Albertson’s across the street again.

I never bother to give ratings to grocery stores because they are all the same. I love stater bros and always had one near by. Now we live in Gardena they don’t have one in the city at all. We decided to give this place a shot. It’s the biggest stater brothers I ever been to. The aisle are super big, super clean and fully stock. It reminds me of winco. The floors were clean too. We had 3 people in front of us but the line was moving a long fast. We plan to go here for now on. It’s about a 10 – 15 minute drive but it’s worth it.

I have lived in town for many years and I have shopped at every chain grocery store. I started shopping at Stater Bros about 8 years ago. Love it. The workers are exceptional. I love the deli and butcher (meat) counters. They may not have every brand selection, but their prices and great attitudes will always keep me coming back. Exceptional customer service. I love their (lack of better word) clearance rack on both sides of where you get the eggs back there. I have found awesome steals there. Thank you Stater Bros! Kudos to manager and staff.

Clean and organized store. The prices on some items are higher than they would be at another supermarket, but that is just the nature of the business. The checkout is easy and they have a decent hot foods section and butcher section. I can see how people would become regulars here.

The fried chicken is good when is fresh. Prices are usually pretty good. I love that the staff & management know me & always say Hi to my girls. The store can get pretty busy with the old folks.

I think it time that I give out a review for this place since I have time lol but great store, it just a few blocks away from my pad, love their deli! The workers there are so nice, specially Frank at the register! Awesome guy and totally humble person, makes my day when we chat but also the prices in that store is always reasonable and have good sales every week. so I’m always shopping at that location and ranking up my cart full of foods to stock up for my apartment! Lol

Came here just because I thought I would get some deals but that didn’t pan out. This place is very small but clean. They have a lack of variety and it drove me nuts when I was there. They also didn’t have fresh spinach really?! Major eye roll. I much prefer sticking with Albertsons.

Great produce selection, meat and everything else, super friendly staff and clean place. Great weekly deals too. best deal for soda! Drive from South gate to shop here verses the nasty grocery stores in South gate!

I LOVE LOVE LOVE coming here! The products are always fresh and the staff is AMAZING! The ladies over at the deli are super sweet and always nice. The butcher always give me the best service and treats me like a regular!

Okay I have seen commercials for this place for as far as I can remember. Never actually saw one or went grocery shopping at one until this weekend.
Christ almighty they have some seriously great prices on groceries. We were looking for some simple grub to bbq and their deli counter prices were amazing.
I wish there was one close to me because I would totally shop here. Fresh produce at affordable prices.

Reliable neighborhood store. I’m hooked on the Stater Bros brand cinnamon rolls in the DIY baked goods aisle.

I am obsessed with Cacique’s soy chorizo. It makes my blah eggs so Mexalicious! Seemingly long, long ago my BF introduced me to soyrizo in a 99 Cent store. He found it the day we were there. What’s funny is that I would rarely go to 99 Cent stores. Every time since that day I have been unable to find it. It’s that popular! One day, Jr. Y. read my desperate Unilocal app messages regarding this soy chorizoless phenomenon at the 99 Cent stores and he told me that Stater Brothers had soy chorizo for a little over a dollar. So I drove almost immediately to the Stater Bros in Downey (I was already in Downey) and there it was — $ 1.20 soy chorizo! Well, it’s much better at $ 1 but it will have to do.
I got a good deal on the green tea and cucumber Dove soap I love too! You buy three and get them for less. Stater Brothers is nice and clean. The lines were not bad at all. The lady at the register was nice. Parking is no problem! Too bad there are no Stater Brothers close to my apartment. I guess I will have to come here whenever I am in Downey visiting my mother.

No price match? Not coming here again

I am still up in the air about which grocery store I will most frequent; however, this Stater Bros. is a good option.
Parking is plentiful.
Low prices & no rewards card necessary.
Meat & seafood selections were great.
Produce was fresh & in abundance.
Employees were nice & helpful.
Carts were easy to push… no squeaky wheels. :)
Even though there were a bunch of people there, the checkout lines moved quickly.
Oh, there is an indoor Redbox kiosk that isn’t being hogged by indecisive persons.
Clean, organized store with most of the groceries we want.

This store is right around the corner from my house and across the street from another major grocery store chain. But I prefer to come to this store. I love this store because they offer cheap prices and they don’t have to have a grocery store membership thingy to get the cheaper price!
Their deli section is awesome! They have the best chicken around! You can smell the yumminess from outside the store!!! Not only is it de-​lish but it is also cheap!!!
The only thing you might not like is the long lines at around 5ish when everyone is trying to get stuff for dinner and that is why I only give them 4 stars.

This is a great, lovely neighborhood market. The prices are excellent, good variety of everything, and the employees here are so friendly. I feel like they’re friends or people I’ve known for a while. There’s a deli, fresh flowers, large liquor section, fresh quality meats, and 2 redbox kiosks. I rarely ever have to wait long in line and its always clean.

Let us not lie many of us come here just for the chicken. Some people I know have Stater Bros which sell quality meat at great prices. I do not usually come here for the normal day to day groceries.
Though this store is so convenient, the parking is good enough for a crowded place on a crowded Firestone blvd near the mall and in the business district. You can drop by and visit lots of other nearby places for phones, shipping, auto, and more.
Thier meats looked good, so did many of thier pastries. However, thier chicken lured me in and that is what I left with. With freindly service and quick checkout I have no problem coming here, though I have only been here once, so I hope its not different next time.
