Been coming here on and off for years. Used to travel all the way from the Bronx, biweekly, to get my nails done by the manager at the time. I stopped coming after a snafu with my birthday nails about 3 years ago. I’m at a a new job and once a week, I travel to the BK office. I gave the salon another try and found a nail tech that I’m satisfied with. As a nail aficionado, I’m very particular about how my nails should look. Even with the price increase,($ 20 for full, $ 15 for fill), it’s worth the money if you find a good tech.

Horrible experience. I went here for a full set and I’ll never go again. My nails started lifting near the cuticle AND at the tip of my nail the very NEXT day. My schedule that week was crazy, otherwise I would’ve gone back to have them redo them. The woman helping me wasn’t very friendly. I asked her to not drill my natural nails, but instead hand file them for the acrylic application — she barely filed them and mumbled a comment to her coworker sitting next to her(really wish I’d heard what she said, but I had my headphones in — luckily for her b/c I was NOT in the mood that day). I also asked her for round nails and she was super annoyed that I asked for them. The salon itself is insanely dirty. They have 1 brush at the sink to clean your nails and it looks several years old and wasn’t even sitting in disinfectant. Polish job was rather sloppy. Lots of old-looking and cheapie nail polishes. Will NEVER go again. Ever.

The décor is horrible!!! I usually frequent Envy’s Nails on 172 Jamaica Queens and that location is high-end upscale compared to this carpeted mishap of a business. The prices are relative to the service– quick and you pay for what you get– dont be surprised, if there’s an extra glop of polish sitting on your nail. These technicians focus on speed, not accuracy(only very few have excelled at both). I’m sorry but I’m going to have to bash A– went there and it was my first time, she greeted me downstairs as she was using her phone. She is very chatty which made me wonder if she was just super-friendly or wanted a nice tip. I just really wanted her to concentrate on getting the job done right, seeing as I’ve been getting my nails done professionally for 7 – 8 years religiously. She had only been doing nails 5 years(which I thought was great, I really thought she was seasoned) but she had no nail file/buff machine so she had to FILE down my acrylic manually with a regular nail file which took FOREVER. She ended up slicing my pinky with that file. At this point I was livid. I decided to get Color gel and chose white at first. After putting my hands in the machine, the color cracked !!! she had to ask the other workers if the polish was still good– OBVIOUSLYNOT– I told her that I wanted to leave and she needed to amend my nails asap. I then played it safe and choose candy-apple red. I had so much space between my cuticles and the color it looked like I NEEDED A FILL-IN !!! I was there for 2 hrs while all the other clients zoomed in and out in a matter of 45mins. I WASSOUPSETANDSHESENSEDITTOO, B/C I TOLDHER I WOULDNTEVERGOBACKTHERE. I STILLGAVEHER A $ 1TIPANDTOLDHER I DIDNTWANTTOBE A DICK. SHESAIDSHE«UNDERSTOOD». p. s. I went back last week and they called out for A to do my nails, hahaha, I turned around, looked at her, and waved my index finger NO… She looked so offended but hey you fucked up my fingers and weren’t even well equipped. I’ll go to anyone but her.

For the price you get what you get. It’s $ 15 for a full set and $ 13 for a fill-in that includes your choice of four different colors for a marble nail design. It’s a no thrills nail salon that looks like an old dance hall. The bar from the original building is still there. It’s not clean at all and everything is really old. To get inside you must walk up the stairs to the second floor. It also looks like it shares space with a hair salon and eyebrow threading business. If your willing to take a risk for the price then try Envy nails. If not there are some cleaner nail salons for a few more dollars in the neighborhood.
