I give it a 5 just because the people behind the bar work really hard to make the place work. When I was there for a few days over the weekend Saturday seemed the busiest. They were never open on Sunday. Funny thing is that during days they were open if they didn’t have more than two customers they closed the place. Small town small bar.

First off, I have to give props to this place for being open on a Sunday. Sunday bars in small towns aren’t a common occurrence.
The town was further off I-​35 than we thought but we kept following these burma-​shave type signs enticing us into the town until we finally arrived. We found the bar pretty quickly.
River Bar was overall a lot nicer than we expected it to be, and roomier too. There was a back room (it may have been the adjacent restaurant, I’m not sure) where karaōke was taking place. The bartender tried to encourage us to join in and if we had more time we might have.
