To me, the Midwives of Doylestown are like angels in my life! Ever since I permanently moved to the USA I prayed to find a group of people I could feel like I was at home. My experience with them was amazing through my whole pregnancy. I felt very comfortable during each appointment and received personal, close attention to every single doubt or concern I had. Both, Allison and JoAnne always asked for my preferences and made sure everything was going well with my baby and I.
I had always dreamt of having a natural birth, but because of complications, I had to be induced into labor. They tried to keep everything as natural and holistic as possible, always following my preferences. After over 20 hours of labor, they decided that my baby needed to be delivered through a C-​Section. This was a tough fact to swallow for me but with JoAnne’s support and the nurse’s, it ended up being the most AMAZING experience!

I chose The Midwives because I wanted a more holistic natural birth and that’s exactly what I got. Joann was fantastic. She understood my work schedule, I never felt pressured to do things any way but the way I chose. We discussed pros and cons to make sure I was aware of my options but I felt supported in all of my choices. Once I actually went into labor she was aware of what I wanted and that’s exactly what we did. And there’s the added benefit of having your labor in the hospital where if something happens there’s always emergency services available.

I went to see Dr. Murphy, the chiropractor at this practice. I think he means well and his staff are friendly, great location.

I got an insane deal for laser hair removal and simply love this place! I wish I lived closer so I could use more of the services that they provide, especially yoga. The space is really unique and interesting and the staff is extremely friendly and welcoming. As I mentioned, I am practically stealing laser hair treatments from them, and I am sure the esthetician is not making out on this deal. Catherine is VERY outgoing and really takes your mind off of the procedure. Additionally, she takes the time that is needed to complete your session rather than rushing and makes you feel like you are her only client when I’m sure she feels the pressure of a heavy schedule. Overall, I am very satisfied with Advanced Wellness.

It’s a nice place with a calm, friendly atmosphere, but I’m not so thrilled with my laser experience. As charming as she is, Kathryn is a political/​religious zealot, and sometimes she get’s so carried away, that she waves the laser in the air as she gestures, and either zaps the same spot 3 times in a row, or misses entire areas, leaving me with a patchy treatment.
I thought the first time was just a bad day for her, but I have had three bad (incomplete) treatments here. Not sure if she is just anxious, excitable or some freaky personality disorder, but she seems unable to focus, calm herself and get the job done. Instead she is often yelling, complaining about the practice, exiting the room multiple times looking for equipment while I’m on the table waiting for my treatment to be complete.
I have to admit, I am actually worried that my 6 laser treatments will be ineffective, because if you add up all the times I have walked out with untreated areas, it probably adds up to one complete treatment.
Also, because she talks so much, a 30 minute appointment often lasts an hour. And she is usually behind schedule, but blames it on the girls scheduling her appointments rather than understanding that if she’d just focus, we would be finished a lot sooner.
Looks like I’ll have to buy another laser hair removal package and hope the next place is better.
