This place is a gem! The owner Terri is so much fun! The girls are all really sweet! Kyle in the kitchen makes great food! I love this place!

Very straight forward restaurant… breakfast and lunch specials. This is the place to go for eggs over easy with toast and potatoes without breaking the bank. Service is always with a smile. Very busy on weekends. Note breakfast specials end at 8:30 so get there early!

Bread Crumb is a nice old place just outside downtown Doylestown on Easton Road. It sits in an older strip commercial zone and with lower rent can keep their menu costs down for the fixed income crowd, and those who enjoy a frugal breakfast on occasion. The counter has room for about half dozen spinners, and the service from there is friendly and efficient. The coffee was a good brew, and refills were offered several times as I sat and devoured the French Toast. The Log Cabin syrup tasted like it might be a refill of an industrial strength brand, but the overall taste of the meal was okay, but not more. The French Toast would have been improved with the additional of a little vanilla extract and sugar in the egg mix to bring up the flavor of the finished product and allow for the caramelization of the edges into a crispy bite. Without them, the taste was a bit«eggy,» and flat. Still, the place has a certain sunshine charm that makes it a pleasant stop.

Not a bad breakfast place! I’ve never been here for lunch. Smaller menu, offering typical food you can find at any diner. Waitress suggested a waffle, so I ordered that! Chocolate Chip waffle was good, I would’ve preferred more chocolate however knowing we paid extra for it. The waitress only came to give us food and refill coffee, wouldn’t liked her to be more attentive. I would’ve liked more chocolate milk. Also booths were really tight to get in and out of, but it was busy and I couldn’t wait for a table

In a town best known for gourmet coffee, it’s hard to find what the Brits call a «Proper breakfast.» Went looking for a protein meal and stopped by here the other day where I enjoyed the best Spinach & Feta Omelet I’ve had in years. Coffe could use an upgrade but the food was terrific and service pleasant. Good value for basic, homestyle food.

I chose this place to take my uncle to lunch today and interview him about some family history after reading the reviews for it here, as I had a feeling he would like it. The food here was not fantastic but it was not bad either. Full of older people, especially groups of men who were probably on lunch break from their jobs, but that was to be expected. Also kinda hard to see from the road, I overshot it since it comes up out of nowhere.(This is because Doylestown confuses the heck out of me and the roads are funny. It is NOT on Old Easton Road, or 611, it is on the plain old regular Easton Road, in a strip mall.) The servers are fast and the food comes out quick. Breakfast is not served after 11 am, by the way, and the place closes by 1:30 pm. I got the BLT and my uncle got the shrimp salad sandwich. His sandwich was HUGE, wow. The nice thing was they came to refill my coffee quite often and they did not rush us while I asked my uncle my questions, so I appreciated this. It seems you go up to the back to pay your tab after they drop it off when your food comes out, so in that respect it is like a diner.

I went here on a Friday around 10AM and we were the only people under the age of 60 in the whole place, so we felt a little out of place. The restaurant is pretty small and probably hasn’t been changed or updated in 30 years(not that it’s a bad thing). The menu is very small and has just the basics, which is probably why you get your food within 5 minutes of placing your order. This place is CASHONLY and nothing is over $ 5.

Really good solid food and service. You wont find anything here that is the least bit exotic but the value is excellent. Big portions and quick service. I was in and out for lunch in less than 25 minutes and the sandwich was great. All the food I saw come out of the kitchen looked really good as well. They don’t take anything but cash… but you wont need much of it.

Elegant greasy spoon is well put! Such a crowd of regulars, you expect for them to yell«Norm» when you walk in. Assigned seats, etc :) Fast, good, basic food served by pleasant efficient waitresses. I remember the first time I as there I was waiting for the bill only to find many of the girls bring it with your meal and stick it under your plate. As good as it is, I never seem to wait. course arriving at 5AM or after for breakfast helps! Cash only for breakfast and lunch. Not sure what happened with Susan P.; that’s NOT the place I go.

Oooh — I am first to review this place — now I guess I better be careful lest I let out my secret and they become so crowded that you can’t get in… But wait a second — you already CAN’T GETIN on a busy weekend morning. The Bread Crumb is what I would classify as an «elegant greasy spoon». It’s a Breakfast & Lunch place(no dinners) it’s really, really cheap and has sassy yet sweet waitresses who make you feel like family. And the breakfast basics(Pancakes, eggs, omelettes) and all really cheap, large portions, and well prepared. It’s a treat to come here. My parents like it, too.(And they are next door to the Larder so you can shop after you eat.) CASHONLY!!!
