The service is weird and a little awkward, but this is typical of a froyo bar. Handlebar is my favorite place to get frozen yogurt in Doylestown. Less generic selection of yogurt and toppings. Not to mention healthier

zero expectations going in after the ‘dissapointed in doylestown’ tour — crappy dinner prior to… we live in town and have been by there a lot… its always been pretty uninviting but with nothing to lose, we went in… first of all, it was dirty. if you’re going with a white theme, its best to keep it clean. it was filthy. second of all, we’ve been to many froyo type places and the selection here was weak. we walked out. yuk! way to keep up the crappy night when you could have been a hero!

Good place, took over the old Rita’s Waterice on Main Street. So I will say I visited here the other day with my buddy since one of my friends posted on facebook that there’s a good FROYO(frozen Yougurt) place in doylestown. She also did some sweet photography for them I think too. Anyways I wanted to try this place out because I’ve been to other FROYO places and liked the experience, and wanted to see what they have to offer in my lil town here. I was not disappointed. First off the place is a tad pricy, so if you want to load up on yougurt and toppings it will cost you because it’s pay by the ounce.(I posted that the price is moderate with two $$, but if you pay for just yourself it’ll be around 5 – 8 dollars depending on how much you load up) I think the chain places are a bit cheaper but this is all we have so far so I’m not disappointed or really complaining either. Just don’t expect Rita’s Waterice prices. They have about 6 – 8(maybe a couple more, rough estimate) soft serve FROYO flavors, which I hear change either daily or maybe weekly. My advice for the flavors would be to put the common flavors, like vanilla and chocolate next to each other and then get all exotic with the others down the line. Perhaps it allows people to try something new by not seeing them together and automatically getting those, but that’s what I have to say there. You can definitely try the flavors out too before purchasing by using little mini cups and just getting a sliver out into it and tasting it. By exotic flavors I do mean exotic and something you probably won’t expect, so that is definitely a reason to check them out as well. They have a pretty good assortment of flavors, but I do wish they had more soft serve machines with additional flavors since it did seem a tad limited. They also have a good assortment of toppers with the usual items you can put on top of an ice cream sunday. The store also seemed very bare. You can tell it just opened not too long ago because of the lack of chairs and tables. The store also needs some colors to liven it up a bit, and that might bring in more customers that are just happening to walk by. I’ll also suggest a possible sign to be displayed on the sidewalk to alert people to it’s presence since it’s sort of hidden, like the Rita’s was. The workers were also pretty nice as well, and they do accept credit via iPad swipe(which is pretty cool!) All and all I’ll give this 4 starts, and that’s only because of limited machines and the store looking so bare/not enough tables to really take care of customers. I’m sure once business picks up and they start making some money this will all change, but right now I have to go with this.

I think this store is a delicious bundle of joy. It is a nice relaxing environment that offers me a variety of different colorful flavors and wonderful music, which inspires me to be creative and try new toppings. The part I love the most would definitely be the employees; so helpful and so worried about the customers satisfaction of HandleBar. When I went there for the first time(of many) an employee asked if I’ve been there before, I said no, so then she made sure I knew what I was doing and provided me with any help I needed. I loved how I saw the employees clean often to make sure the business looked presentable. I do believe HandleBar will thrive and continue to thrive for awhile. Go California Tart, it’s soooooo tasty and I crave it all the time. During my break from work, I always think about stopping by for a tasty treat and getting to sit in the cool and comfy chairs they have there. I hope HandleBar stays in business for awhile so I can continue going to my favorite frozen yogurt shop.

I’ve been here a couple of times in the past month and find it to be a worthwhile trip! The setup and décor are a bit strange, very barren and oddly laid out, but I know they rushed the opening for summer, so maybe that is part of it. Anyways, there are some good options for fro yo flavors and tons of toppings from the normal to the more exotic. Staff is very helpful and friendly! Just be careful overfilling those giant cups or you can get into trouble cost wise! :)

This is one of the best new spots in town that will be widely enjoyed by all who come to visit. I think the idea is great, as it is comparable to Sweet Endings in Center City, but at a more affordable price. The simplicity of this place is also a plus. There is a bit of a variety with the flavors that the offer(Tahitian Vanilla, Dark Chocolate and Espresso are my favorites) but not so many that you would feel overwhelmed. The do it yourself operation starts with a red, green or orange cup(all are the same size) where you will then serve yourself by pulling on the lever of one of the five or six offerings, and then venture over to the toppings which are vast but not overwhelming. The songs playing set a great vibe in this place and create a great atmosphere where you want to sit and stay awhile. The staff is extremely friendly, and while they are young, they are pleasant and professional. The bean bag seating in the storefront windows are one of my favorite features, and one of the other reasons why I have already been a frequenter at this new hot spot. I have told all of my friends about this place and they cannot wait to check it out. I know that they will have as great of an experience as I do!

They’ve hired really great employees and have a wide selection of delicious yogurts and toppings. It could use some more seating but they just opened a week ago so I’m sure they’re still working on it. Glad to have them in Doylestown!

First, this place has no character what so ever with basically no décor at all and everything painted white. I know opening a business can be costly, but at least throw a couple posters on the wall or something! Secondly, the set up is a bit awkward with seating in odd places and lots of empty space through out the place. Although they had a good variety of yogurt to choose from, none of them had me saying«yummm». Good variety of toppings but the ones I got did not really taste good(especially the brownie pieces). I was really rooting for this place but they will definitely need to step it up to compete with the other yogurt and ice cream shops in town.

Tried it last night and loved it. I’ll probably be back just about everyday this summer! Great concept and really clean, hope it stays that way!
