Septa Doylestown station provides an easy way to get to the city without having to fight the Schuykill or I-95. The parking lot is small, so get there before 8am. It costs 1 dollar to park there and you have to use quarters. The window to sell tickets is only open in the morning. They will provide change to park if you forgot yours.

Location wise, this train station is pretty good, because it’s right near downtown Doylestown. But other than that, it doesn’t have that much going for it. The only thing that’s there is a restaurant called The Freight House, which I’ve been in once(not bad), and there’s been a sign up advertising a pizza place in the«station»(more like a shack), but I don’t think it even exists. Sick joke for someone who is looking for a quick meal before a long train ride. And the train ride is LONG! All the trains from this station take forever to get to Philly(1hr 40 min to 30th street), unless you take an express(which don’t come that often). There’s only like 2 benches to sit on while you wait, but luckily it’s the last stop for the Lansdale/Doylestown line, so sometimes the train will be waiting early. But other than that, I’d rather go to any other train station in a nearby area, with more frequent trains to Philly. The wait between them is usually an hour and a half at least, and ain’t nobody got time for that!!!
