The owner at Lull and Hartford almost assaulted me because I asked for my money back when the embroidery on the jersey was uneven. not by a little, it was way off and no one in the world would have paid for the terrible job they did. Here’s the timeline: I called them up in the middle of Mar and asked about ordering the Jersey. I asked them about the size and they said I could come in and try one on when they get some Jersey’s in. In the meantime, I asked a few team members at practice and found out my size that way. They told me that was the deadline was March 31 to order so I went ahead and ordered on that day. They said they will have it finished the week before our first game. It’s was now Wednesday April 22 which is getting close to our first game on April 26th which I called to find out what day it will be ready so I can schedule my day around their hours to come pick it up. They said that it’s not ready yet and they don’t know when they will work on it because they have two youth leagues that put their orders in late. By the way, their hours are mon-fri 9 – 5 and sat 9 – 1 and they’re in Dracut so it makes it pretty difficult to get there on last minutes notice. Now it’s Friday, 5pm and they haven’t called me so I called them. They said it’s not ready and they’ll have it ready sometime Sat. They also said they will stay there past 1pm closing time so I can get my Jersey when it’s ready. Anyways, they called me at 7:30pm that night(Friday) and said it’s ready for pick. Here’s what happened at their location when I picked up my Jersey at 11:30am that Sat morning: I walked in and requested the Jersey. I pulled out my credit card and paid without any questions. When the cashier went to the back room to charge my card, I put the new Jersey on and looked in the mirror to find the Brewers logo across the front did not line up. It wasn’t off by just a little bit, it was way off. The left side of the jersey had the logo stitched much lower than the right side so when I brought it to the cashier’s attention, he went back and got the owner. The owner came up to me at the counter and leaned in my face and started yelling at me saying hard hard he’s been working and that’s when I cut him off and said«you need to calm down.» He didn’t even try to see what the problem was. He said«get the F’ out of my store, I don’t have time for you anymore, you called 21 times, just get the F’ out!» I said«just give me back my money and you’ll never see me again.» He said«shut up, i’ll give you back your money.» He did not refund my card but instead grabbed cash from the register and slammed it on the counter(I’m not trying to make it sound worse but this guy really slammed it down and could have broken his counter.) When I took the money I said«this is no way to do business.» He said«F’ you» and started coming around the counter with his hands out like he was going to assault me. One of his employees was holding him back saying just let him leave and that was it. My personal opinion and attitude towards this: I’m a business owner and have been for many years which is why I was more than cool that they were late on delivery. I’ve owned retail stores in Burlington and the Nashua mall for eight straight years with 40 employees which I knew they were backed up and it was no big deal. I had no intentions on going in and starting anything, I paid upfront for the Jersey without inspecting it first… that’s got to tell you something. I may have called to many times but that is no reason to force your customer to accept a defected product and then threaten them. I rarely give bad reviews on business’ nor have I complained to the better business bureau because business’ sometimes have bad days but this company should not be in business for the way they acted. I certainly am going to take extra measures to warn others about their ethics. I deserve a big apology from them but truthfully, I want nothing to do with them ever again.
