If I could give negative stars on my experience I would. I have never written a review of anything, but I am so displeased and astonished by the ridiculously bad service I received, I had to post. Run, don’t walk, far far away from this place. I went in for a pedicure. The owner, Michael,(I didn’t know he was an owner at the time), was very pleasant and took me last minute without an appointment, but when my pedicure was done, it was beyond terrible. It looked like something a child did. I thought it wasn’t done. I asked if it was done, and he proudly told me it was. See attached photo. I told him I was unhappy, and he offered to have another person repaint my toes in french manicure. I said no for two reasons. I didn’t have 30 additional minutes to sit in the chair, and I didn’t have confidence that the next person would do it any better. He came back with a $ 10 gift card for«next time», and I begrudgingly agreed to let him«make it right»(his words) by painting my toes in a solid color. He sloppily applied two quick coats and forgot the top coat. He left remnants of the white all over my toes, and the nails weren’t even filed straight. Look at the pictures, and judge for yourself. When I left to pay, I was certain I would get a discount off the current service, in addition to the gift card, but I paid full price. I was charged $ 45 for something that looked like a child did it. I feel like my feet look like the«before» picture for a foot fungus add. They didn’t look like that when I went in! I made an assumption at the time that Michael and the woman who cashed me out were employees who perhaps did not have the authority to do more than what they did,(which was a nice gesture but not appropriate, in my opinion), so I paid and left. I called back the next day to speak to the owner. I was confident the owner would be mortified to find out what happened the night before. I was wrong. The woman who answered the phone, Donna, said she was the owner. I explained what happened the night before and she said, with a tone to her voice, «I know you weren’t happy, I was the one who gave you the gift card and cashed you out.» I was caught off guard, to say the least. I couldn’t believe a business owner would treat a customer like that. I told her that the man who gave my pedicure was very nice but did not do a good job with the paint and I was very unhappy with the service. She very curtly told me that the man, Michael, is her husband and co-owner and that they took care of my dissatisfaction by giving me a gift card. A $ 10 gift card(for«next time», nothing for«this time»), and the $ 10 wouldn’t even cover a polish change in this«spa».(So, to recap, there was not one, but two owners present and both thought it was appropriate to charge full price for a terrible product.). I told her I think they should have discounted my service from the night before. She very rudely replied that she would not do that. She said that I received good service and needed to pay for it. I agreed with her that up until the paint job, the service was fine and I more than agree that I should pay for that(I never asked for a full refund, I asked for a partial refund to reflect the poor paint job) but still feel that a business owner would want to make a new customer happy and discount what was clearly a sub-par experience, to which she started raising her voice, cutting me off, yelling that she would not do that. She told me I could come in to the salon and return the $ 10 gift card and she would give me $ 10. ??? I told her I didn’t want to spend any more of my time dealing with this, that I was not going to drive back there, and I requested she reverse part of the charge on my card. She refused and started yelling something, cutting me off again. She said something about my bringing the gift card with me the next time I come in then. I had pretty much made up my mind earlier in the call when she had a rude tone in her voice that I would never visit that«spa» again, but she sealed the deal when she started yelling at me like a petulant child. I told her that I would NEVER spend another dime with a business that treats their customers so poorly. She continued to yell something so I finally had to hang up on her. She was actually yelling at me, while, I assume, there were customers in her salon. Wow. I cannot believe that a business owner would yell and scream at a customer on the phone. It was beyond rude and unprofessional. I never raised my voice to her or spoke in a condescending and rude tone like she used with me. It was utterly ridiculous. The second picture is what my feet looked like when I left the salon, after I agreed to let the owner, Michael, paint a solid color(in the interest of time, I chose the pink color used as the base of the french manicure). I think you’ll agree, it’s a terrible pedicure in both pictures. I am so frustrated and disappointed with such a terrible experience.

An excellent full service salon and spa. They have(at least) two floors, with hair and facial waxing on the ground floor and body waxing upstairs. They have a GREAT loyalty program(get five services, receive on free) plus a referral program($ 10 for each person you refer). The late night hours are also great if you work in Boston and don’t want to rush home just to get your eyebrows touched up. One thing though, they only accept CASH tips. This makes sense for the folks working, but it’s a little embarrassing when you first go and you can’t tip your stylist. The staff is constantly retraining and expanding their skills, so it’s likely your favorite person can take care of everything for you!

Donna did a fabulous job with my hair. I was blown away with how she cut and colored it and the products they use are fantastic!

I love this place. It is family owned and the people are lovely. I have bad skin, and I have to say, I’ve gotten some of the best skin care at this place. And I didn’t get to hear a litany about how bad my skin is like I did at some other fancy-schmanzy places. I will always come here. It’s relaxing but not pompous or overpriced. A definite gem.

Eh… Toby is awesome at cutting hair. She is really very talented and precise. That said, the general attitudes of the owners are annoying at best. They will both discuss their business minded plans and ideas with you ad nauseum. They can also be opinionated and argumentative, which is not what I call relaxing or rejuvenating.
