Bathrooms not clean. Small cup of coffee is $ 1 from the vending machine. Also two soda machines. Dog friendly but you have to keep them on a leash. Plenty of trash cans, and also 4 – 5 picnic tables, —— BRINGYOURLUNCH —–

This place is so beautiful. I’ve driven by it at least 20 times over my years in Tucson. So many amazing rock formations and unique structures that are nature made that have nothing to do with man. Definitely a good rest area for you to explore and enjoy with your pops

Between Wilcox and Benson there really isn’t much. A lot of Arizona Countryside, views of very long trains making there way east and west, and open space. When you come to a big pile of rocks, and a mild grade, you have come to Texas Canyon rest Area. We always stop no matter which way we are headed. It is a welcome spot for a tinkle and possibly a nap, make that probably a nap. The rocks make a nice backdrop and there is plenty of parking for both big rigs and cars. The Wi-Fi is strong and one can catch up on all those social things as necessary. I like this stop. Clean enough, and more. Enjoy.
