Me — «Hi, I was wondering how much you charge for 4×6 prints from a digital file?»
Them — «For like, proofs, or what?»
Me — «Not proofs, prints for my client.»
Them — «$ 1.80, $ 1.64 for 12 or more…»
Me — …hesitation… silence… then a confused, «Ok…so… how much is it PER print?»
Them — «$ 1.80»
SCREEEEEEEEECH!
Ok, riddle me this, Batman. How is this lab in DREXEL HILL, PA charging that much, when I can get them printed in SAN FRANCISCO, for .39 per print, with better archival paper, AND shipped to me?
If you are saying, «Well, why don’t you just go there then,» my response to you would be, «Yeah, I am going to…»
They get an extra star for answering their phone and having a relatively informative website… And I use the term «informative» loosely.
I’d love it if they’d put a list of their prices on their site.
