What a gem! We stumbled upon this winery while taking back roads to an olive farm. Their tasting room is beautifully set up. Our favorites were sweet red, sweet blush, and plum wine… Oh my! Can’t forget the O’Mara’s Irish Country Crème. Had to join the wine club. We will definitely make this one of our stops when we head to the hill country. Kate helped us out and she was awesome. and made some great recommendations!

Beautiful location but sadly no outdoor seating. The inside felt more like a hotel than a winery-I kept thinking the bellman would pop out around the corner. They do not serve but 1 or 2 texas wines so I personally dont see the point of having a texas winery filled with wines from Napa. Our favorite winery is Bell Springs and one that is very close by to that one that is a True Organic Winery that I would suggest also, sorry I can recall that name.

This is a little surprise gem that I found… because someone was reenacting college in the bathroom of the brewery I’d just been to. I assumed they’d have a clean bathroom, and something to drink. I was right! The location itself reminds me very much of the new construction, cookie cutter style neighborhoods, granite everything. That’s not necessarily a bad thing, though. It feels clean, new, and like you’re not drinking wine that someone’s uncle made in his barn. Be warned, this isn’t the place you go to find a ton of delicious Malbecs, Cabernets, or other big dry wines. Their wines are definitely on the sweeter side, with only a couple being classified as «dry,» but they tasted more semi dry to me. That said, they do have a ton of guest wines, but why go to a winery and drink someone else’s wine? That’s like going to a local brewery and drinking Lonestar! One of my favorite things about this winery is the size of their pours. Most places give you a scant ½ ounce or so to taste, and you can barely flush your palate, let alone decide if you like a wine. This place? A solid 3 ounces, so you definitely know how you feel about a wine. They also have wine slushies! You can get your not classy on with one of those delicious things.

Nice winery with a really good atmosphere Staff really friendly and knowledgable of the wines. Only a tasting room versus a vineyard . They did have some wines but they were all super sweet. Would go again!

Have visited many wineries throughout the Hill Country, & this is one of our favorites. Lovely outdoor seating area. Very peaceful & scenic. Enjoyed watching 10 – 15 Longhorns grazing only a few steps from the outdoor deck. Nice seating underneath many big oak trees, along with a swing. Looks like they are renovating a London double-decker bus to serve as a food truck adjacent to the deck. Will be a nice addition. Keep up the good work folks. We will look forward to returning many times.. .

Jack was super friendly and gave my husband and me suggestions based on what kind of taste we like for our wine tasting. Beautiful place with a lovely view. I was nervous due to some of the bad reviews, but this place is great. I was looking for a place with a pretty porch to enjoy a glass of wine and I found it!

Pretentious, pretentious, pretentious. The girl behind the counter wouldn’t serve us until we were standing at the bar where SHE wanted us to be(in a 90% empty place) ignored us, and couldn’t answer any questions about the wine. I must not have been dressed right? The also serve mostly other people’s wines so out of the 20 we tried only 1 was worth taking home.

Nice indoor ambience. Big enough for large groups. 3 separate bars plus tables and sofas. One of the nicer wineries in the area!

I’ve been to this place twice now, and although it certainly ain’t on par with California, it has it’s charms. The wines they bottle tend toward the sweet, although I bought a bottle of their white(Cellar Select White), which is not too sweet at all and has a fair price point($ 12 a bottle). Their tasting pours were generous, and their staff was sweet, like their wines. I liked several wines I tasted off of the right side of their menu, the wines bottled in other states and countries, which they also sell on site. I like that they cater to everyone’s tastes and have variety. The tasting room is just really beautiful and luxurious and feels like a villa inside. And the farm atmosphere outside with the mini horses and donkey is a nice contrast and super quaint. I’d recommend this place to anyone in the area looking to hit a few wineries in one day. Their wine will not knock your socks off if you are a serious wine connoisseur, but you will have a good time and feel welcome here.

Recently visited the winery on a whim. I’ve never been a fan of wine and I absolutely loved the wine here. The atmosphere was beautiful and I loved the outdoor seating. I did the $ 5 wine tasting where you can try 5 different wines. I tried only the wines that they made. Started out with a Moscato and finished with the Blueberry.(I took a bottle of blueberry home) This place is perfect for a girls trip, a mother daughter outing or even a cute date with your special someone. It has a wonderful variety of wine and a great atmosphere. I will definitely visit again.

The staff was extraordinary! They did an amazing job of keeping up with a huge group of drunks! They were very friendly and did a great job teaching us about the wines! This was defiantly by far the best experience! I love the smoked cheese! Oh and be sure to try the Christmas mulled!

I came here on a bachelorette party limo tour. This was one of four wineries that we stopped to sample that day. I have to say this was my favorite. For one reason only and that is the hospitality and attentive people that work there. While they do serve mostly sweet wines, they did have a sort of whiskey type import that was delicious(forgot the name). We were able to try so many different wines, and even though I am not very fond of sweet wines… I was still able to find one that I bought that day. This is a fun place for groups, couples and even the lone soul to come try a plethora of wines!

Very, very disappointing. A group of 8 of us came here on a Saturday, and from the start we appeared to be an inconvenience to the staff. We walked in to no greeting or any sort of direction. Upon finally finding someone to give us a tasting, it was the most un-personable tasting I have ever experienced. Our server not only did not introduce herself or the winery, nor describe any of the wines we chose, she seemed dis-interested in us from the get-go. We all felt like we were bothering her by paying money to try their wines from the start to finish. Additionally, most of the house wines were so terrible that by the 4th pour, we were all choosing wines from other vineyards. At least one of the house wines smelled like nail polish remover. If visiting Wimberley and looking for a winery to check out, pass this one up and make your way to Driftwood Estate. You will not be disappointed.

My favorites were from other wineries but the people I came with liked the selections from the Wimberley vineyard. Those were a bit too sweet fort taste. The interior is warmly decorated and very comfortable, with both leather sofas and a seating area with tables.

This place specializes in sweet wines, which basically equals desert in your mouth, which basically equals LOVE. The winery is in the country and you’re greeted by donkeys, cows, and llamas upon your arrival.(another LOVE) The staff was friendly and there are both indoor and outdoor seating areas, including a cool, old bus that has a nice breeze on a sweltering, summer day. Also, every weekend they offer wine slushies. This was my first time having a wine slushy, but I must say, I LOVED it — maybe more than the wine! The only thing I would say could be improved upon is the view surrounding the outdoor patio. The views are obstructed by two small barns and the bus, all cool in their own right, but it would be nice to gaze out at the beautiful land. Otherwise, this place is splendid!

This place is absolutely amazing! So amazing my fiancé proposed here. All of the ladies who work here are SO helpful and nice. Constantly making sure your enjoying tasting & the tastings are never too small, because honestly who goes wine tasting to get a tiny glass of wine? It gets packed and crowded on weekends for a reason. It’s a laid back place with plenty of room and did I mention DONKEYSANDPONIES! Anyone who thinks this place isn’t worth it needs a reality check quick ;) PS Laura is one of the best ladies there to communicate with and do your tasting, sweetest girl! OH and when I got engaged here they gave us a free bottle of innocent bystander & took the action shots, no hospitality? Yeah right! :)

Tasted four wines only — the pours were so large that I really couldn’t go for another.(I know, not holding up my end!) One dry white caught my attention, but the Pino grigio I tried(an import) was undrinkable. The server was personable and knowledgeable, the tasting room was spacious and attractive. Loved seeing the Shetland ponies, one very happy donkey and a gorgeous llama right next door.

45 minutes and 10 «tastes» of wine made for one awesome experience. My husband and I each got the 5 wine tasting for $ 5, and there was enough in the glass where we could try each other’s sample. Be careful though, by the time we left, I was feeling a wine buzz. I tried every single one of the Wimberley Valley wines, and truly, I found them all to be excellent. I don’t appreciate bitter or dry wine — sweet, fruity wine is near and dear to my heart, and that’s what they do here. My favorites were the blueberry, the plum and the sangria. We took 2 bottles home, and I plan to seek this wine out at my local Specs. We also tried some of the non-Wimberley Valley wines, and were not as impressed with those. The chocolate covered strawberry wine was interesting, but I don’t know if I’d want more than half a glass. There were 2 apéritif wines that tasted like straight up alcohol — an amaretto and a irish cream. We were given a little cup of oyster crackers to enjoy with our tasting, and there were crackers with house-made spreads sitting around. Toward the end of our visit, we got a free sample of the sangria margarita slushy! The serving of this chilly beverage was fortuitous because I was feeling a little warm after 9 or 10 wine tastes. I was so happy that this was a laid back and rustic atmosphere and not some pretentious wine tasting where people are spitting perfectly delicious wine in to a spittoon after getting the mouth feel and flavor… or whatever. The wine pouring girls were friendly and entertaining without being inappropriate. They were all wearing cute, age appropriate, non-hoochie summer dresses and it matched the venue perfectly. I checked in on Unilocal with what little cell phone service I could wrangle, and got my free corkscrew! We venture to Wimberley at least once a year, so I’ll definitely be back!

Quickly, bring me a beaker of wine, so that I may wet my mind and say something clever. — Aristophanes Or maybe in my case write something clever? First and foremost what a great place to kick off the start of my vacation. Being a huge fan of their small shop in Spring, Texas I had immediately stuck an actual visit to their home winery on my must do now list. The location is beautiful, open pastures, stone tasting hall with empty wine barrels stacked alongside, old weathered car parked out front for a little more of a vintage touch, warm inviting interior as you enter the heavy wooden doors. The tasting room is very simple yet elegant. Offering a lounging area near a stone fire place, Wine bottles are stacked neatly in their nooks built into the walls behind the wine bar. The chandelier that hangs in front of them caught my eye over and over again, it was nothing like the old white crystal glass I was used to, it had colored glass of reds and greens, very chic. The is an additional room off to the side with more formal sit down dining tables, a room to the back through a stained glass walk-through was under construction at the time but I was told was their production room that they were converting. Various art for purchase adorns the wall, also a small wine and trinket area with gifts for those wine fanatics is located in the main room. To start its 5 tastes for $ 5. You get quite a selection your able to taste any of their home wines and quite a large laundry list of wines located on the other side of the tasting menu. I finally ecstatic to see their had both their plum and blueberry wine that I so long had waited for their Spring location to get knew right off the bat what my first two picks would be. Plum was a no go with my taste buds, but Blueberry, oh Sweet Blueberry, I was sold and walked out with two bottles(9.99 each) to go but not before I enjoyed a full glass. Super knowledgeable, fun, personable staff did a great job bouncing between me and my wine partners tasting experience and the group of 8 that walked in shortly after us. As mentioned before I had asked about the room under construction, and am glad to hear they are renovating to open up their beautiful winery as an event location. For those that have not walked through the sweet doors of the wine world, they offer a Wine Survival Class $ 50 for 2 people. And for those of you who have knocked out all the windows and doors and are mad dashing at the sound of the cork pop twice maybe thrice a day(admitting what you enjoy is the first step to recovery right?) they are open daily 10−6pm. Definitely will continue to be a regular at the Spring location, but given the chance that I am ever near by I will gladly stop in once, twice, thrice more. Great place to enjoy the afternoon, relax, unwind, and stay awhile.
