I have been to Bell Springs more then once and had great experiences! Both of my most recent visits, the winemaker was on site mingling and sharing his beautiful wines and the staff was gracious and hospitable.

The facility was gorgeous, and the staff was so helpful. The wine was also so amazing. It’s definitely worth swinging by. We’re from Florida, and I would come back for this cute place.

Bell Springs is in Dripping Springs. Lovely setting, great wines – we tried 2 reds; one was a Cab/Cab Franc and spent the afternoon with friends. The building and grounds are adorable and made for a relaxing time. This is a must if you want to try Texas wines in a great setting near Dripping Springs.

We have visited over 1,000 wineries and have been members of 30 plus wine clubs. Bell Springs is at the top of our list for wineries, tasting rooms, club membership and club events. Their wine is made with exceptional attention to all details, and you can taste the result of excellence in every bottle. We love their red wines, especially their Tannat. We purchased two cases and hope they make more soon! The wonderful tasting room and event staff make each visit and event a special occasion.

This is the best ! Nate, the owner, is passionate about making wine. You will not be disappointed! Tip– wine needs to stay at a consistent temperature, so when you go on your Hill Country winery tour don’t put your bottles in the trunk of your car while you drive around all day and the temperature fluctuates, it will effect the taste.

May I just start off by saying that my boyfriend and I went on Valentine’s Day thinking it would be SUPERBUSY with no place to lounge, but we were wrong! This little spot settled on some beautiful land out in the neck of the woods was incredibly gorgeous and we were so happy we went. A great place for a date! You can bring your dogs, a picnic and enjoy great wine at a reasonable price. Relaxing, fun, and personable customer service. WOULDRECCOMENDTOANYWINEENTHUSIAST!

This place rolled out the red carpet today for me and my friends. We had 2 bottles of wine(a red and a white) and we had a wonderful afternoon on the porch. It was affordable and relaxing after a crazy day of bachelorette party festivities. I wish I had been her before today.

I’m embarrassed to admit how many times I’ve zipped right by the turn off to Bell Springs on my way to the wineries along 290 in Hye, Stonewall and Fredricksburg. Partly due to the splendid value Bell Springs offers($ 7 for 5 tastings) but more because it’s essentially an AUSTIN winery and it’s better than anything I’ve had on the«trail» when I factor in quality and price point for the wines. The Bell Springs Tannat, aged in French oak, heady, complicated and full of tannin is a beaut. At $ 30 per bottle, it puts William Chris, Pedernales and Lewis to shame with their ridiculous $ 50 «estate» grown Merlots. Come on guys, slap your egos down – buy the damn grapes and create better, reasonably priced wines. We visited on a relatively quiet day and loved the service we received from Kailee(who also serves as wine club manager). So enthralled were we, that we joined on the spot. Wine club membership is free, but unlike other Texas wineries, you get to pick your shipment and receive a 20% discount – even at the 3 bottle per quarter level(take that, Driftwood) plus nothing is «held» back. I’m impressed – give it a whirl

A gem of a place in Hill Country, with a smaller, more intimate feel than their larger cousins on the 71 or 290. A great place to kick back and enjoy some wine in a woodsy atmosphere. Bell Springs seems to focus on reds, though as of my visit(November 2015) you could get a half-flight of whites. The standout, if one likes sweeter and fruitier wines, is the ‘Drippin’ Sweet White’, which smells so wonderfully of peach that one can sense the ‘fuzz’. It delivers on their boast that it’s a ‘Texas summer smile in a cup!‘ Highly recommended for a visit.

Great venue with friendly staff and agreeable wines. Loved the character of the offerings. There is a lot of spunk and sass in their space. We will be back!

This was a great find! They were extremely busy because of the holiday weekend but took the time to explain everything I was drinking and make some great suggestions. They also own a bar(Sidecar) in downtown a Dripping Springs they suggested we visit. It was a quaint little place with some fantastic drinks. The wine club is awesome. Only one I have found that actually lets you choose what bottles they send you. The discount you receive works at both their winery and bar. Loved this place and look forward to returning soon.

Bell Springs Winery is my absolute favorite stop when touring Hill Country wineries. : They offer probably the best tasting wines — both white and red. Snag a bottle of their Needy Bitch, just because. : A tasting for seven wines is only $ 7. Or opt to purchase a glass. : The staff is incredibly welcoming to both humans and fur babies. : Indoor and outdoor tasting room and bar : There are plenty of plush, grassy knolls to lounge with friends or roll around with said fur babies. : Rocking chairs on a porch? Yes, please. : Catch a food truck and live music every now and then. And the place gets packed. : Extremely family friendly.

This is a beautiful serene place with Texas ambiance. We truly love this place there is no words for such friendly staff that has alot of information on there wines .My husband and I usually pack a nice picnic with blanket with pillows and sit outside with our three buddies which in fact are our Chihuahuas and listen to the talented musicians… sipping A GLASSOF great full bodied reds which is my favorite here at BELLSPRINGSWINERY. Just relax after a hard day and mellow out. The porch is also very nice and you meet a lot of friendly people there who are from different parts of USA or out of the country. It is about 30 mins from my house which is BARTONCREEK area. They also have a wine club you can join for FREE !!! The drive is amazing and now is a great time to see the flowers blooming bluebonnets are in full bloom now. What a cheerful place to hang out feel like home. Planning to go again this coming weekend if weather looks good… see you guys soon. Hugs Jim and Gina Hansen

A very peaceful and relaxing winery set in the lush, green hill country! I am not a seasoned wine drinker, but I enjoyed several of the wines from the tasting. I purchased a bottle of the Malvasia, an effervescent white, to enjoy on site. They currently do not ship or sell this wine to go because it is not equipped with the proper cork and cage. It was absolutely delicious! I also bought 2 bottles of the 2012 Riesling, which is a fantastic summer wine!

While driving through Dripping Springs with my friend who was showing me her old childhood home we came across this Winery. With about 30 minutes until they closed we pulled in and sampled a few wines. The gal inside was friendly enough and answered our questions. Two other ladies were inside having a tasting as well and I found out one was from Williamsburg, VA while I’m from Roanoke/Virginia Beach. Small world! We chatted with them for a while and my friend and I both bought a few bottles of wine. The winery is adorable, there is plenty of parking, they have a nice patio out front on a covered porch with a small seating area off that as well for parties or gatherings with lights hung through the trees for night or dusk lighting. The bottles are also decorated really cute. I thought it was an adorable location.

The wine club costs nothing, enables you and a group of 3 friends to have complimentary tastings, from the quarterly shipments you get to choose what wine is in your pack, buy discounted bottles of wine, and enjoy great pick up parties. If you should want to quit your membership you can do so at any time. They have a nice online portal that you can utilize to update your information, and select your wine shipments each quarter. We recently enjoyed a lovely afternoon pick up party. They brought in a PTerry’s food truck, when you RSVP’d you received 2 food tickets good for 2 burgers w/fries. They had live music, and it was great to enjoy the outdoor grassy area(just remember to bring a seat or blanket!) with a glass of wine and burger. They allow you to take your dogs on a leash with you in their outdoor area, and many people were picnicking with their pups. From their current selection of red’s I actually liked the Reston Red Outlaw blend the best. I found it to be much better than the previous year. They changed the blend slightly. Their other reds were also good, but the Reston stood out. I liked that during the busy pick up party they also had tastings going in their outdoor hut area near the patio. As the small indoor tasting room was PACKED full of people. The staff were friendly and semi knowledgeable. After the party we picked up our wine shipment which came in a lovely Bell Winery recycle wine bag that you could reuse to pick up a total of 4 bottles in.
