15 years of eating here and still have never had a better breakfast taco. Worth the line every morning. Or you can call in

My favorite taco shack in this world. Slap yo momma tacos. This place is leggit. I would leave a bad review as to leave this place available all to myself but they are so fast throwing out those combos that it doesn’t even matter. Really though, these guys deserve a lot of props for their quality and service.

The breakfast tacos are what you think about as a traditional breakfast taco. The bean, egg, and cheese is best version of that combination I have had. Although I know most people go there to get to go orders, there could be a couple more tables outside. I was also a little disappointed that the drink menu said fresh brewed iced tea, but they only have Arizona tea in the fridge. I tried the Hillary because of all the reviews here. It was decent but not a taco you go out of your way for. Overall, its a place we will go to when we drive near there in the morning but we won’t go out of our way to get there.

I’m new to the Austin area and Flores was the first breakfast burrito I ever tried. It was good. Real good! I’ve tried others and nothing comes close. The price is right in line with other shops. Line moves fast. I really should try a lunch burrito. It’s nice and convenient right on 290 near the high school.

fast, decent tacos… wish they would use real cheese… but generous portions. Call ahead. Green sauce is good.

My boyfriend and I stop here every road trip we take out west. Located right off a main road, keep your eyes open to pull over. Thank you for feeding us! Chorizo and beans, eggs and potato and migas taquitos, oh my… A large cafecito and pineapple jarritos, too for under $ 15 with tip. #robertandalysharoadtrip2015

I finally got a chance to try this place, had been looking forward to comparing it to my favorite, and it was pretty good, but I still prefer La Escondida, mostly due to the fact they have a bit more variety, but also their tacos seem a little more flavorful to me — maybe it’s their spices or maybe they are so old-school they use some good olé lard and it’s hard to beat that greasy flavor. Anyway, I only tried egg/potato at Flores so maybe not fair to compare that to the yummy cactus/egg from the other place which is my all-time favorite, but my wife tried their sausage/egg and chorizo/egg and she also said she likes the Escondida taste a little better. I have to give props to Flores for their tortillas though, those were more tasty and seemed more fresh than at the other place. If we could get Flores to share their tortilla recipe with La Escondida and then La Escondida to share their nopales recipe with Flores, they could both make the perfect breakfast taco — for me anyway!

Love this place! It’s a must stop on every trip I make to hill country. The combo taco is awesome. The bacon is crispy and flavorful. The potatoes are dine just right. Overall the best breakfast taco I’ve had in the Austin area. Service is speedy too and prices are just right.

They definitely have the BEST breakfast tacos I have ever had! Very inexpensive! Will say go when the kids are in school or you will be waiting a bit even if you call in your order. Like I said amazing tacos worth the wait if you have to!

Great for take out. Call ahead and they’ll have it waiting for you. Try the combo with the green salsa, it’s the best.

When you start a road trip at 8:00 a.m., you just really need some breakfast, you know? Flores has some good advertising, because my group turned the car around after we passed this place with their promise of delicious breakfast tacos. I ordered a sausage and potato taco and a bean and cheese taco. You get one salsa with each taco, with the choice between red or green. Of course, I got one of each in order to try all the things. The tortillas here are freshly made and delicious — there’s even a little flour on each of them, letting you know they put some love into making them. The sausage and potato taco was pretty deent and I added the red sauce to it. The sausage and potato were a little bland at times, but the salsa helped. The beans and cheese taco was also decent and I added the green sauce to that one. The green sauce has a nice spice to it, but there was something about it that I did not like so much. I want to say it was the texture, but that probably doesn’t make a lot of sense. The taste was nice, but something about it was a little off-putting. I might personally skip the green sauce next time, but you might find it’s your thing, especially with the kick that it offers.(Or maybe it was just the one I got — I will probably end up getting the green sauce next time just because I’m a fan of all things spicy.) I am assuming the rest of the group enjoyed their tacos because not a single taco went uneaten and I did not hear any complaints about anything being not so great. No rave reviews, but no complaints means everything was edible and up to everyone’s breakfast standards. Flores certainly helped fill our bellies and it was a nice start to a considerable drive. They also serve regular tacos, for those that prefer tacos that are not of the breakfast variety. I would definitely stop by again if I’m ever in the area and I really want to try some of their other options. Oh, and one last thing — I saw chickens walking around outside this place. That’s right — chickens. I really wanted to pet the chickens, but it was raining and I didn’t want to look like a weirdo. I also did not want to scare the chickens. They were so cute, though, and just doing their little chicken thing — what a great way to start the day.

We are staying at a bed and breakfast in the area and went here on the 4th of July since nowhere else was open. I was worried since I’m a vegetarian and didn’t think I’d be able to get anything. I was so hungry after driving around everywhere else only to find out they were closed. I explained that I was a vegetarian and didn’t eat lard or meat products. The person taking our order knew that all of the tortillas had lard but they could make me a taco in a bowl instead. I ordered the bean and potato taco in a bowl and the cook was kind enough to come over and let me know they use lard in their beans as well. I ended up getting a potato and cheese bowl with green salsa. It was quite delicious and filling. I think they gave me more than you’d normally get in the taco shell which was nice. The service was great and they weren’t annoyed with my questions even though it was a holiday and there was somewhat of a line.

Holy Tacos, Batman!!! Now«The Hillary» is a bomb-ass taco worth the drive out to Dripping Springs. Oh my Lawd! This bad mama-jama is filled to max with Egg, Cheese, Bacon, Beans, and Sausage. Order 2 and an orange Gatorade… and consider your Life complete for the day! My son had a bean & cheese taco and a bacon, egg, & cheese taco. No complaints there(he’d let me know too!). Just so you know, this place is a Taco stand, but they do have covered & shaded picnic tables to sit at. Breakfast & Lunch Tacos… cheap & Delicious! Can’t beat it! I’m definitely Coming Back!

The Hillary is a great breakfast taco. 2 – 3 with the red sauce are a great breakfast. Fast service, too. Flores also has a nice patio area with several picnic tables under a roof where you can sit and eat. Although it faces out on to the road, it is far enough back that the road noise isn’t horrible. Also, the roof and many trees around the patio provide sufficient shade that it helps keep off the direct sunlight.

Just okay… The bacon was weird. I’m not sure what all of the hype over their breakfast tacos is about.
