A great alternative to your average roadside fare when traveling the interstate. Dine inside or out.

A beautiful new local business, the bakery selection is massive with unique and fun options. Other than the bakery the sandwiches are well crafted with plenty of individuality, making them stand out from the normal dishes we’ve all come to expect from restaurants in general. I wish I could leave 5 but seeing a glove be dropped, then picked up and used to make my sandwich cost a. I will definitely be back more and more, as the food is 5.

If you find yourself in Dry Ridge, Kentucky, for any reason your food choices are limited. There’s McDonald’s, Wendy’s, Cracker Barrel and a few other generic establishments. I was disappointed when I looked at the Unilocal map hoping to find something tasty for dinner before an event at the high school there. Beans came to the rescue! This locally owned coffee shop is Panera-esque, serving fare such as bagels, pastries, half sandwiches, salads and the like. Plus, they have donuts! And ice cream! So off to Beans we went. I ended up not being very hungry that night, so I just got an everything bagel with cream cheese and a coffee. The bagel was chewy and delicious, large but not enormous. It could have used some more of the everything seasoning, but was toasted perfectly and served with a reasonable but not skimpy portion of cream cheese. The coffee was a little disappointing. After ordering a cup and heading over to the self-serve station, I discovered there was only decaf left for the day. Unwilling to be the person who asks for a new pot of coffee to be brewed, I drank it. It was fine. My mother in law ordered a half club sandwich and a half Caesar salad. Both were generous portions and she said it was very good. While Beans may not be my favorite coffee shop, it’s definitely my favorite establishment in this area. Check it out as you’re passing through.

Delicious! Great little small town gem with ingredients that are a cut above what you’d expect, including house made bread. We stopped in for lunch on our way from Indy to Lexington and it was a perfect change of pace from the usual greasy road trip fare. The gentleman who helped us seemed like he may have been the owner – it was clear he took pride in the place. And most importantly, each order came with a side of three donut holes!

My wife and I stopped here because we were staying in town for an early tour of AIG’s ‘Ark Encounter’. Saw the sign from the highway as we turned into Dry Ridge. We are so glad we did because the soup and sandwich meal we had was fantastic! It is a gem of a café that has a super friendly staff that create tasty doughnuts, pastries, mini pecan pies along with an all day breakfast, lunch and supper combos. Did I mention they have ice cream and a full line of coffee specialty drinks. DONOTMISSTHISONE if you’re in the area!

The food is always good, it’s one of our local favourites, though it can get pricey. It’s nice having a place to get salads and sandwiches at in this small town instead of nasty fast food chains. The new spot is way nicer than the old one, and a great place to write or draw during lunch.

Awesome bakery and deli. If you are on 75 and want great food and service then Beans is the place. Highly recommended the blueberry muffins and any of the turnovers.

Great little restaurant! Awesome deli sandwiches, I had the Bacon Cheddar Chicken sandwich and it was amazing. Bread is baked fresh daily and you can tell, its really good! Coffee is Caribou coffee which I think is better that Starbucks! My wife got a made to order Chicken Wrap with avocado and she really enjoyed it! We both got a cup of their Bean Soup which was homemade which some bacon in it which was very good also! Couldn’t resist buying some bakery items too, they have fresh donuts, brownies, and breads. Will definetly stop here again!

You’ve got to me kidding me… first off there were literally 6 workers the day I stopped in around 3. There were 4 people in line, with 6 workers! Finally my turn to order and I asked if they had iced coffee. The cashier looked at me like I had 5 heads, and replied saying she could put ice in my coffee. I explained to her that iced coffee is brewed and then iced, served cold. She didn’t have anything like that. I took a regular cup of coffee and she pointed me to the self serve station, only to find decaf. Too late, I had already paid. I’ll be sure to stop at a gas station before going here again.

Coffee was great. Service was too. Donuts a little pricy in my opinion. Really nice set up, layout and atmosphere.

Nicely done Beans! First time there since the move to the bigger building. Nice layout but that’s very minor compared to the good food. Good soup and panini combo for both my wife and I. The slaw with the combo was good and the homemade bread for the sandwich was also very good. Nice to have a locally owned bakery and sandwich shop. Will definitely be back often. Keep hearing the wraps are very good so, next time !

What a great alternative to the chains one usually finds off of the highway. All of the donuts i’ve had have been fresh and delicious. I’ve also tried the Cheyenne sandwich and the chai latte. Very tasty and service was friendly cheerful and quick. The space is bright clean and modern. do yourself a favor and stop here for a pick me up if you are on 75.

Loved eating here. Originally we came for the great donuts, but found the food to be great too. I LOVE the macaroons! Their new place looks amazing.

Exactly what it claims to be… Great soup and sandwiches and even better doughnuts. Easy to get to off the highway. So much better than chains in the area.

Nice off highway local quick spot. It has good options all day but for breakfast has quality at an affordable price. The bacon, egg and cheese burrito is best with an extra egg and pepper. It’s a little too cheesy for my taste but under $ 4, you can’t beat it. Coffee was smooth but flavorful, self serve but they had espresso if you’re in the mood for that. The doughnuts are the way to go. I had a maple one, and it melted into pure joy. If you wanna go all in sit inside its table section and dip it into your coffee. I’d recommend this place to any traveler in the area for a tasty pit stop.

Stopped in for coffee and dessert after dinner while visiting Dry Ridge. You Unilocalers rated this one high, so we just had to give it a try. I must tell you, this is an OASIS in a desert of chain restaurants and fast food familiarity.(Not that those are all bad, but we like to try unique spots while traveling.) The pastries/doughnuts all look awesome, and the delicacy we tried — a pumpkin spice doughnut with cream cheese frosting — was superb! All bakery is homemade on the premises daily, while most of us are snuggled in our beds. Coffee is tasty, too! We’ll be returning for one of those awesome looking sandwiches at lunch tomorrow before we leave town, and I may have to revise my rating to a 5-star.

This was our first visit to Beans! Driving on I-75 northbound, my wife saw the billboard sign. We took the exit, turned right and drove about a mile toward Dry Ridge, Ky. Beans had an excellent selection and I chose the Cuban Panini and she ordered the Smokin’ Turkey Sandwich. We were NOT disappointed. The food was excellent and the staff were very courteous and responsive to our dining experience. We will make an effort to stop here anytime we are driving through this part of Kentucky! Awesome!!!

I have to admit that this did not look like the best place to stop in and get a bite to eat. However, thanks to good Unilocal reviews we decided to give it a try. We were GLAD we did! The food was fantastic! The staff was helpful and kind. I recommend this to anyone.
