If you’re going the fresh tree route, this is the place to go. They have a beautiful selection of trees, big and small, including Noble and Douglas firs. As of this post, they are already out of Frasers but are hoping to get another shipment in soon. Staff is helpful and accommodating. For an extra $ 5 they will shake, net and make a fresh cut at the bottom of the tree. They’ll even help you secure to the rooftop of your vehicle(don’t forget to tip!). Prices have gone up this year, as everywhere else. A 5′ Noble Fir, shaken, netted, and strapped onto our van cost us about $ 50 + tax(!). It’s worth it, though. Our little one commented that our tree«looks so beautiful».

Alpine Christmas Trees at the Pleasanton Fairgrounds, truly the best Xmas tree shopping experience in my lifetime. Great Trees, easy access parking, friendly helpful people. Picked out a tree, guys cleaned off the loose needles, fresh cut the bottom and loaded on my truck. Paid a very fair price for a beautiful fresh cut tree and we were on our way. I doesn’t get any better. I hope they come back every year!!! I will !!!

If I could give them 6 stars I would! The two lots ran by Alpine are both amazing! Quality trees, great people, and a great time! It ends up being a whole experience for my family! We go here every year and will continue to come here every year as long as they are in business! Keep up the good work folks, you’re doing great!

They took over Regans lot @ the Fairgrounds in Pleasanton. Awesome service. Very personable and the prices are reasonable compared to when Regans had that lot.

Alpine Christmas Trees! Such a large and beautiful selection to choose from, and the price is right! We found our 6′ gem standing tall in the sunlight and knew it was the one for our first Christmas together. The kind gentleman on staff helped assist us, and had the tree shaken free of dander and then placed into it’s net. The payment process was also a breeze(Debit/Credit acceptable), and we were out of there in no time. Also available are pretty wreaths, mistletoe, pine tree water conditioner and snacks. Tis the season! Enjoy. Be good to eachother.

Yes, these are more expensive than the ones at Home Depot, etc but there is a very good reason: They are better. They smell fresher and they look 1000% better(take a look at the pic I posted)– That’s because they are trimmed perfect… And I’m guessing they are handled nicer than the ones at the big box stores… Oh, and this is a family-owned business, so the money goes to them, and they in turn spend their income locally… That’s so important compared to money going to some corporate office, who’s already slashing wages and employee benefits… Do yourself a favor and stop by this lot, they really are much different than any other christmas trees—

This is the 2nd year of purchasing our tree from them and are so pleased with both the service, selection, and quality of trees. The staff is knowledgeable, down to earth, and friendly. We usually get a 8 – 9′ noble fir because of our vault ceiling and I didn’t get a chance to tree shop until the 2nd week in December. I came in on a Wednesday and the staff told me to come back on Friday because they’d be getting their last shipment of fresh cut trees in. I did come back a few days later and the trees were beautiful! Nothing says winter more than having that fresh, pine smell in the house… well…in the bay area, anyway, since it doesn’t snow. I love how they shake, fresh cut the trunk, trim lower branches, net, and tie the tree to the top of your car for you; albiet, it’s $ 5 extra, but it’s totally worth it. We’ll be back next year again for sure!

I wanted to come here again since last year’s review, just to be sure it wasn’t just a one time suck fest. It still is. We came here on a Sunday around 8pm. Looking around, there were at LEAST30 empty tree holders, leaving very few actual trees to choose from. When I asked about this the guy said they were selling like hotcakes. I believe it, but as I looked around, the lot was empty of people and there were TONS of unwrapped trees waiting in the side lot to be put up. There were 6 workers standing around talking. We picked a 7ft tree and paid over $ 80 after the shaking fee, netting fee, and tip. We only had a credit card and there was a spot on the receipt to put a tip but they said they wanted cash. That’s just cheap and lazy business sense. She had to ask the manager if it was ok for us to leave a tip where the receipt said tip! I don’t know if other lots have this, but you can put your tree on hold, so nobody else can pick it, and come back a week or two later to pick it up. That is just not fair.

Great selection, friendly staff, and the best deal! We paid only $ 49.99 for a 6ft Noble! Usually we go to Moore’s at the fairgrounds, but due to a so-so selection of Douglas and Noble Firs this year, we decided to try another tree lot. This was our first time at Alpine and we’ll definitely be back again.

Oh man. Man, oh man, oh man. This was our 2nd year coming to Alpine for our Christmas tree. As we walked on to the property, we were greeted by the friendly people working there. They were very helpful and said if we had any questions to just ask. They answered all of them for us and were patient as we took our time picking out a tree. & they told us they deliver! The fee didn’t include the tip for the guys delivering it & it’s all in cash– but I am ALL for supporting our local businesses! At the end, they shook and netted it for us and did a fresh cut at the bottom so our tree would drink better when we took it home to put in the stand. All the guys were really nice and so were the cashiers ;) Sure, their trees are a bit pricier… but YOUGETWHATYOUPAYFOR. Please, be my guest and buy your tree from Walmart or Home Depot & come back & let me know how it’s completely dried out & about ready to catch fire well before Christmas Day! Really…go ahead…(Let me give you a hint: you’ll regret it.) Saturdays & Sundays– man this place is packed! Still friendly people, just much busier. If your schedule allows it, I say go in during the week. Or if the weekend is a must, right when they open! That’s when we found the best selection & more one-on-one time with the employees. We recommended Alpine to our family & they love it too! A++

We decided not to cut our tree this year. After reading about this place, we made a trip there. We found a beautiful and very fresh tree at a reasonable price. For a small price, they shook and wrapped the tree. They also helped to load it for us. I think we may avoid the effort of cutting our tree from now on! Merry Christmas!

We used to have a tradition of driving to Half Moon Bay to cut down a Christmas tree. It’s not possible this year so when I found this place reviewed on Unilocal, and it was ridiculously close to my house, I had to go there. It only took about 2 minutes to pick a tree because they all looked great. They keep them in water, which I also like. Everyone was super friendly and helpful, and they had the tree freshly cut, bagged, and tied to my roof in no time at all! Awesome! I thought the price was very reasonable.

This is our first year buying our Christmas tree from here. I think we now have found our place where we will get them every year! The reasons why we chose this place. 1. All of their staff is very friendly and helpful. I hate walking into a tree lot and it seems as if you are bothering the workers when you need service. 2. Super fresh trees! We spoke we the owner and he mentioned to us that their trees were only cut 3 days before Thanksgiving. Since they are a smaller lot, they are able to purchase great quality trees. 3. Their trees are already standing and placed in water. This is the only way that I can shop for a tree… you have to able to walk around the whole thing. You have to check for bald spots or see if it is crooked. 4. Their trees are guaranteed… if it dies before Christmas then you can bring it back and they will give you a new one, as long as you have followed their instructions for maintaining the health of the tree. If you neglect it, I am not sure if the policy applies. 5. They SHAKE and NET your tree. For an additional $ 2 they will do both. Not many places will shake your tree… I think that’s super cool cause when you buy a large tree it’s hard to shake off all the random things. They also make a fresh cut off the bottom of the trunk for you. 6. They tie the tree to your roof for you. 7. They have custom orders for larger size wreaths. You definitely have to plan ahead and make an order way before the holiday season starts. 8. Their prices may seem a little higher than Home Depot or Lowe’s but it is well worth it for the quality and the service that you receive. We bought our 9 ft. tree for $ 100.00 It took us a few laps around the lot to finally pick our tree because their selection was too good! We kept going back and forth between a couple of trees. Restrooms: No restrooms.

A beautiful story of two pals who need to make college money and decide to sell Xmas trees over winter break. At least I believe that’s what the wife of one of the founders had said. By complete coincidence, years later I ended up at the ad agency that would update their yearly postcard mailer. The lot often moves from year to year, but look for the giant-parade-float sized Snowman. Great trees and even greater people selling them.
