The lady was not at all helping, the restaurant was old and bad smelling. I think they have closed now anyway, good

Hands down the best Indo-Chinese cuisine in the Bay Area. I eat Chicken noodles and chili chicken and this combo was top notch. The service was decent but the food was amazing. Definitely recommend this place to anyone who loves Indo-Chinese.

These guys love salt. Two of the four dishes were over salted. Service is not the greatest either. The guy at the cash looked very confused, maybe he was new. I will not be going back. There are many other options in the area.

My mother and I love this place. It’s not the most aesthetically pleasing sit down restaurant, the food though, is exquisite. Every Time we come(which is once every 1 – 2 weeks) we get the dosa. My mom gets the citrus special Rava dosa(which takes a longer time to make since it’s a thin and crispy texture). I get the spring dosa which is healthier(or at least I tell myself…) The food is great and the service is unbeatable. People who run the establishment are kind, attentive, and warm. I want to mention the woman who is the owner’s sister-in-law(I believe), she makes you feel like a part of her family, she is attentive and brings water, napkins, extra chutney at the perfect time. We’ve eaten at many dosa places in the Bay, somehow we always manage to find a way back to Citrus, because they are really that good! And they don’t break the budget. You can leave happy and full in under $ 20 for 2 people We love this place and will probably be back next week :)

Food was OK but dreary dining room and withdrawn server made for an indifferent dining experience. From the outside, the highly reflective sun screen prevents passersby from peering into the restaurant. It made the place seem closed. From the inside, the sun screen was too dark and made the dining room too dim and uninviting. The dosa was as big as expected. Ordered it stuffed with potatoes. The sauces gave it some oomph but don’t expect more than a small bump on the Scoville scale. The butter chicken didn’t come with rice. Had to order that separately.

Good food, best curry we’ve had in a long time. Only problem is it takes quite a bit of time for food to be prepared. The establishment itself isn’t very clean or good looking, but the food makes up for it.

What prompts me to write this review has to do with customers that I saw exiting this establishment and perhaps if there were more reviews, they could have been spared spending well earned dollars for their meal. I ordered food to go here a couple of weeks ago. I was there just after they opened for the evening so I waited for my food. The inside of the restaurant was in very poor condition. Some walls and ceiling were partially painted and others were not so well painted. There were flies flying in and out the front door. The surveillance system was hardwired and there were cameras attached to the wall monitoring eating areas and the entrance. I was the only person there. The person taking my order was not very forth coming with helping order my food. I explained that this was my first time ordering out there and asked for a suggestion on what dish or any dishes that a first-timer could order. He looked perplexed and never really answered. I pointed to the takeout menu and after I asked about specific items we figured out what could work. There was one cook on duty and very it was quite while I waited. When I left, I saw that there were catering metal trays stacked on the ground to the back of the restaurant. I don’t know how that would be acceptable on any level when trying to run a restaurant in this area. The food(three different selections) was rather bland and nothing that would ever make me return to this restaurant for the food alone. There are some serious upgrades needed here and other Unilocal viewers should consider dining elsewhere.

Absolutely pathetic, thats the only word came to my mind when i think of my last lunch buffet here. Biryani was cold and not sure what kind of rice they used in there. There are not many options available in the buffet menu and their buffet is overpriced, waste of 12 $. Service is not good at all, we almost have to wait for 15 – 20 minutes to get some fresh bread. Just one advice, avoid this one!!!

Pure waste of $ 12 for buffet. They make biryani with some weird basmati and hardly any items for buffet. I’d give negative rating if it was available.

We were there on Tuesday from noon-1pm. There were only 3 customer! My friend liked butter chicken and lassi. I liked my goat pepper. We liked garlic naan. The naan was loaded with garlic. Loved it :) However, a server served us a plain white rice instead of basmati rice. We requested for a basmati for our 2nd bowl. I assumed Indian food serve with basmati! I guess I had a lot to learn. I’ll go back for lunch with a Groupon deal.

Every time I come here the hours are such an inconvenience. They’re hardly ever open. So I won’t even waste my time coming there. There’s no point.

I’ve had better Indian food locally in nicer locations with better customer friendly servers. Naan was tough and dryer than what I’m used to. The masala paneer dish was icky and no one liked it. They also refused my Unilocal $ 5 check in offer if used with a $ 25 take out order even though I spent over $ 40 in take out food. Not coming back.

Yummy dolsas, yes!!! However there is never excuse for horrible service!!! Also beware this place caters only to Indian clients!!! Food was actually pretty good but they are obviously not looking for new patrons! Too bad because were really looking for a good Indian restaurant near my in-laws u I guess they’ll just have to continue to meet up in Walnut Creek at our favorite spot Saroor’s

Worst Caterers Worst Caterers of Bay Area. Avoid at all cost. Attended a Party at a friends place few days ago. The caterer was scheduled to come at noon to 1230pm, but arrived at 1.30 and started cooking at 2pm. The food was ordered for 50 to 60 folks but was fit from probably 20 max… The rice and bhajia seemed stale and the yoghurt raita terribly little in quantity. The food ran out after 25 people ate in little quantities. The dosas were extermely thin… pretty much served uncooked to all attendees. This caterer ruined my friends party and am looking forward to sue them… The charges per person were very very high too… KINDLYPLEASESTAYAWAYFROMCITRUSINDIANCATERER, DUBLIN, CA… HOPEOURLOSSISYOURGAINTOAVOIDTHISRIPOFFUSELESSPLACE

Went here last night just to try it out. Service was beyond horrible. But I guess you shouldn’t expect much at these kinds of places. Food was awful compared to Shalimar(which is right up the street from this place). I wanted tandoori leg and waiter said it would take 20 minutes. Yah no thanks. Got the curries and naan. Glad I went so I’ll know never to go again.

I don’t know why I am rating this low because every month we will go here. I guess we go here because of the cheap food. But the chole bhaturas that we order here are way too big and a little oily. I always feel like I have a headache after eating. Their dosas are pretty good but could be more crispier and fresh. The filling feels like its stale but the sauces/chutneys were fresh.

Let me just start by saying… if you’re looking for good service, DON’T GOTOASIANRESTAURANTS. Or order take out. Like really, how many Asian restaurants do you know that have good service?! Shouldn’t people know by now? [end rant] I go to restaurants for the food. I’ve been here twice – Citrus has yummy curries, tikka masala, garlic naan(bomb). The server kept peering around the corner at us to see if we needed anything. It was funny and cute.

I walked in and there was no other customer in here. Three men were standing there waitint to do something. the manager was pretty helpful and asked me upfront what I liked… vegetarian or not… spicy or not. The garlic naan was ok. a little dry to me and had cilantro on it, which I am not a fan of. The mixed vegetable curry was great. Not too spicy but very flavorful. Cost was about what I’d expect but the portion was a bit small.

I really liked the food here! Very flavorful with great blending of spices. Also, hands down THEBESTMANGOLASSI I’ve had anywhere in a long while! Chicken Tikka Masala was yummy! Exploding with the right blend of spices with moist, tender chicken. Tandoori chicken leg is excellent too! The flavors really was infused into the chicken leg meat and the chicken was moist and tender, despite the outside was perfectly charred. Yum! And then there’s the Chai Tea. The flavor is pretty typical — «regular chai tea»… but it’s piping hot and stayed hot for about 20 minutes! Star for that! How many times do you visit an Indian restaurant and they out piping hot chai teas? They’re typically like warm at best. Hands down THEBESTMANGOLASSI I’ve had in a long long while. Definitely the best in. the neighborhood. The mango lassi has great, intense mango flavor. Perfect consistency. I took one sip and the next thing I know — 70% was gone! Dangerous Mango Lassi’s here! I can drink ‘em all day! Minus 1 star due to slow and haphazard service, but by no means unfriendly. The staff is friendly and courteous, just need to improve on organization and probably will get better with time. Come for the good food. Not for the services or ambience. Plus one star back from reasonable prices given the quality of food. Plus one more star for very good food and excellent chai teas and Lassi’s! Overall, a solid 3.5 restaurant. I had to pick 3 vs 4 … 4 it is! Great place!
