When I started at Community Psychiatry, the doctor assigned to me was new to the area and was building his caseload of clients. I was also new to the area, so starting over with a new psychiatrist is always difficult — having to explain all the meds you’ve tried, what happened, other things you’ve tried, etc. Over a year later, my doctor now has a full caseload — I usually have to wait to be seen at my appointment time because he is running behind schedule. My appointments are now rushed — as short as 5 minutes at times. At my last appointment, we decided to wait 8 weeks instead of 4 due to the fact I was leaving my job, and wouldn’t be settled into my new job within those 4 weeks. Apparently, my doctor ended up taking two weeks off in April — the office said they called me to reschedule, but I have no missed calls from my dr’s office. My next appointment is now in JUNE. I haven’t since my dr since February. I’m upset because it is another case where the doctor is taking more patients than they can handle… and now he has dropped from seeing patients 3 days/week to only 2 days. I’m thinking about trying to find a new psych and being on a wait list; however, I don’t think a new psych would solve my problems. I wouldn’t be surprised if all the doctors in the area were over-booked. But seriously, having someone with an anxiety disorder wait 4 months to see their doctor is ridiculous. and my anxiety is through the roof. My prescription medication cannot have refills, so this is going to be a huge pain. Really really really bad timing!

Dr. Castro is a Phyciatrist from Community Health Pleasanton CA. I agree with the previous review, very rude and condescending. Just what you need when you are struggling. This is one lady who is definitely in the wrong field. Doctors should have COMPASSiON, you are all about GREED!
