I recently moved from out of state to Columbus and was looking for a quality dentist to start seeing. A friend had recommended me to Dr. Buck and Distinctive Smiles of Dublin, and I cannot say enough good things about the staff and the service received on multiple visits! I have recommended people to come to Distinctive Smiles, as I really think the overall feel of the customer service is truly exceptional. I have met with both Dr. Buck and Dr. Burton individually at separate appointments and can honestly say that they each care about the patients they are seeing, are conversational, are kind, and make sure that your expectations are met as a patient of Distinctive Smiles. Both asked me at the end of the exams if I had further questions or concerns, offered recommendations for dental troubles I was experiencing at that time of the visit. When I have gone for either a routine check-​up or a thorough cleaning and examination, Lynn (the hygienist who I have had twice now) engages in conversation with me but without being overly conversational (if you know what I mean, where it is difficult to speak with various dental instruments inside your mouth); Lynn is gentle with my teeth but efficient and thorough with cleaning and examining my teeth, as well as seems to be just a very nice person overall. The receptionists as well are very friendly and kind towards the patients, whether it is a new patient or a returning patient. Nothing but wonderful things to say about Distinctive Smiles! Keep up the excellent work — I look forward to my next 6-​month appointment!

I needed a new dentist in the area, chose this place because it had good reviews. I was not impressed at all. The secretary was nice and took the time to know me at the beginning of my appointment, but from there it was all down hill. It had been a good 4 years since I’ve been to the dentist. I went for a cleaning and check up. My cleaning literally took 5 minutes! I felt it was rushed, since I remember my last dentist taking a good amount of time when I was going regularly. It just didn’t feel thorough or carefully done at all. I ended up having one cavity. The dentist spoke very quickly about everything. The only time she slowed down was to tell me all about cosmetic things I could do that I wasn’t interested in. They were able to fill my cavity that day, which was nice, but I don’t think it was done properly. After I had it done, the tooth was extremely sensitive. I’ve had quite a few cavities back in my day, and I’ve never had sensitivity. I went back a couple weeks later and she really couldn’t tell me anything except that it could be that way for 6 months or so. That’s never ever happened before! Now I can barely chew on that side of my mouth even though the cavity was filled over 4 weeks ago. I was extremely unhappy about the service I got, especially given all the good reviews it’s had.

I am having quite a bit of dental work done and I’ve now been in for 5 visits in the past year and the customer service at Distinctive Smiles of Dublin is unparalleled by any dental office I’ve ever visited.
The entire staff functions as a very knowledgeable, cohesive team & each and every member of their team makes you feel like you are the reason that they came into work that day. This in turn, has a very calming and confident effect on the atmosphere throughout the office and their patients.
I own a business driven by customer service and I am extremely impressed with Dr. Buck & his team.
