Had the F1. Good flavourable special hot sauce. Hot and real good portions . It will be my spot EVERYTIME I pass through. EVERYTIME. Plus gotta buy some of that sauce, if the owner would sell it in a bottle.

Do not recommend the Cajun style chicken salad. Taste nothing Cajun. Parmesan is stale Barely any leafs of salad. Next time till try the fish and chips instead.

This place makes the best salads in Dublin. I had the sea bass over Caesar and was very happy. The service was fast and friendly and the place spotless. One should go in the early part of the day as it gets packed around evening movie times, since the AMC theatre is nearby.

Excellent service, amazing food. I never eat fish and I was forced to eat here a few months ago and you guess what, I can’t stop thinking about how good my meal was. The Cajun white fish with jasime rice and tomato is the best! I wish his place was closer to my house. I it took me 30minites to get here for lunch. Well worth it.

Service: adequate, at best Ambiance: basic Food: i had the tilapia and fries. The fish was breaded in panko and could only have been previously frozen based on the taste. The appetizer of «calamari» was breaded in panko as well and resembled onion rings rather than squid. There’s no need for me to return.

Tasty, well battered fish with perfect fries. The white fish sandwich was also surprisingly good, and I appreciated that the fish was somewhat broken apart within the sandwich and not just in one piece. It was more flavorful that way I think. However I think the calamari appetizer was a bit small, not really worth the money. Service was alright but we were also the only ones in there. All in all the quality of the food was good, but some things are kind of pricey in my opinion.

Fried zucchini was just ok. It was slightly soggy in the middle. The grilled salmon was delicious but the Alfredo sauce on the pasta was bland. It was pretty empty inside so I received great, fast service.

A sit down place(nicer and roomier than the San Ramon location). Nice selection of fish. Not sure I love this place but it is pretty reasonable.

Couldn’t have asked for a better place for us. We were in a hurry and wanted something healthy. Lots of fish choices. Even steak for those carnivores. I had grilled tilapia. Garlic butter on the side, brown rice(can substitute). The meal comes with grilled zucchini & tomatoes. Very Good! Friendly and efficient staff. Quick service. Would definitely pick this spot again over the fast food and large chain restaurants in same area.

Pretty decent place! Perfect place for me since it is lent season :) Service — okay and friendly, people just need to be a little patient since there was only one dealing with a lot of customers when we went. Place — pretty specious but they’re a lot of tables so it looks pretty crammed when it gets busy! Two TVs inside! Food — everything tasted fresh from the calamari, white fish, cat fish, and fried oyster. I just felt like the batter was too much and a little thick for me. And I got tired of the taste since we ordered a lot on the menu. Squeeze lemons all over and it will do the job :) Will definitely come here to try more!

Very good food the catfish is excellent crispy on the outside very tender on the inside not at all mushy. I would highly recommend the fried oysters the food is not at all greasy so it’s done right, you can tell the oil is always fresh .good French fries nice service, if you like sports they have a couple of TVs in there .they do serve beer and wine

Unfortunately I need to change my review. This was the first I’ve been there when it was somewhat busy. Service and food were horrible. We were served a really bad cut of Mahi Mahi. My wife barely touched it, except to try and eat around the dark and uncooked meat. Server brought us our food and he didn’t stop by again until we asked for the check. Our drinks were empty the whole time we had our dinner. Not sure if I’m willing to give them another chance. ****original review **** First time here and had a great meal. Food was fresh. Nice selection. Great service too. Definitely going to come back again.

Excellent service!!! We were looking to eat seafood before catching a movie and did a Unilocal search of «seafood» and this place popped up. The minute we walked in, we were greeted. The manager or owner(not sure) was so friendly and came over to the table to chat and make sure we were doing ok. The food was good too! Great prices and portion sizes.

My colleague and I were going to the Thai restaurant for a quick lunch, but it was so crowded at noon that we decided to walk in to this fish place next door. There was hardly anyone there. But to my surprise I found it to be a great place for lunch. Wondered why it was empty while the Thai place next door had people waiting to get in. Perhaps because it was a bit pricey comparatively and not a lot of seafood fan in the area. I ordered the Red Snapper from the grill that came with grilled zucchini, roasted tomato and rice. The fish was nicely crusted on top and juicy inside. With a little lemon juice it tasted great with rice. Rice was a bit dry, but the fish compensated for it. Loved the roasted tomato. Service was decent and courteous. I’ll be back to try more of their menu items. #repeatrestaurant

Fried cod with french fries, just awesome. Loved the flavor, excellent light texture. Also really enjoyed the hot sauce which they make in house. Food was hot. Friendly service. Highly recommended.

I was in the Mood for Seafood. So I rolled to Fish On The Grill. They are located in the old La Salsa Space next to 5 Guys. There’s plenty of parking as they are located in a large Strip Mall. I rolled in and it was a Packed House. I saw an open table so I grabbed it. I was at the table for 15 – 20 minutes. The Waitress covering the area walked by numerous times without serving or asking me if I needed help or a menu, The folks at a Neighboring table finally flagged down the Waitress for me and told her I needed service. She was Clueless !!! She finally asked me if I had ordered yet? I told her I had been waiting for service and she told me that she thought I had ordered To-Go. Note To Server If In Doubt ASK !!! Server 101. I finally received a menu to peruse . When my Waitress arrived I ordered : Fried Calamari Grilled Cajun Catfish: comes with Grilled Squash, Tomato and White Rice . Deep Fried Parmesan Chicken Wings: comes with Fries and Coleslaw. My Fried Calamari came first. It was Tender and it came with a Spicy Cocktail Sauce. The Cocktail Sauce had a nice Tang to it. Nice Appetizer . Next came my Cajun Grilled Catfish. It was cooked just right. Light and Flaky — and it had a nice Heat to it. My Waitress brought me a Cajun Sauce and I poured it on top of my Catfish . It gave it a nice Spicy and Fiery taste. Just Delicious !!! My Chicken Wings came out next. Alan the Owner of Fish On The Grill came by my table and asked how the food was? I told him I was enjoying the meal. He saw that I had the Deep Fried Chicken Wings and asked if I would like to try his Special Hot Sauce? You don’t have to ask me twice of course. Alan brought me a bowl of the Sauce and it was Wonderful. It had a nice Fire and Spice to it. After I finished my wings. Alan the Owner stop by table and asked what I thought about his place . I was honest with him and told him. I love the Concept the Food was on Point . But the incident with the Server was almost a Deal Killer. I’m a Baller On A Budget so I like good service. That’s one of the reasons I like to eat out. Alan explained that the Waitress is fairly new and is still in a learning curve. Alan is an Experienced Restaurateur. He has been in the Food Service Industry for over 20 years. He started when he was 32. He also owns another Fish On The Grill in San Ramon and a few Sushi Restaurants . Alan has an eye on quality he personally shops for all the Ingredients, he uses at his restaurants. He spends a majority of his time at the Fish On The Grill in Dublin as its only been open for 2 months and he is still training the staff. Even though I had an Issue with my Server. I still will return to eat at Fish On The Grill because the food is solid and the price point is fair . They also have 3LCD TVs for Entertainment and the Place is Clean and Brightly Lit . Fish On The Grill is also Vegan Friendly They Have A Vegan Menu. The Owner Alan’s Daughter is a Vegan . They also serve Beer and Wine.

My friend fellow Unilocaler Cammie w. Suggested this place for lunch since it was brand new and pretty healthy. We met at noon and they only had a few tables inside I guess because this plaza isn’t the most popular for the work crowd. They have an extensive menu to choose from including grilled, fried, tacos, and salads. We both chose the grilled fish on rice option. I chose the grilled Cajun catfish and Cammie had the grilled mahi mahi. The catfish was really fresh flaky and flavorful. The skin was also crispy and delish. I loved the rice as well! It was cooked with chicken stock or something that made the rice super yummy. They give you alot of rice which I couldn’t finish at all. $ 32 with tax and tip for 2 not bad for a healthy lunch in hacienda plaza.

The popcorn chicken was SALTY! Yes, shouldn’t order this at a place like this… The fish is good size portion, almost as long as the plate. There’s quite a few options for the sauce, I think the garlic butter sauce is a lil too much. The cajun looks like the right amount. They also provided grill veggies on the side with your rice, not colesaw as said on the menu, which is even better! Asked about the market price for the Halibut, it was like $ 30, too $$. Looks like they jumped up in their prices compare to old pics from Unilocal photos. There was only ONE1 waiter at the whole restaurant. You have to wait for him to be done with that table to go to your table. Even though it was only like 2 other tables. but you have to wait and wait and wait. The service was nice… but don’t like to wait and wait and wait for service.

Tried their restaurant in San Ramon and while food is the same, the Dublin location’s atmosphere is a step up from their original place. The cramped SR location is more of a take-out joint. Dublin branch is a bigger, nicer place with waiter service. Open kitchen but the high half wall hides the action. Standing by the cash register, waiting for my food, I was able to watch them cook my food. Speaking of which, it is hard to spot the register when you first walk in. It is behind the half wall, in the far back corner on the right. I like the concept. Choose your fish. Then choose the cooking method. Choice of sides. This visit, tried their grilled catfish over rice. Choice of sauces. Picked the garlic butter. Catfish grilled perfectly. Seasoned simply with salt. Came with grilled zucchini and tomato. Catfish was yummy but only got 1 filet versus the trout with 2 filets, same preparation, that I got on my second visit. Enjoyed the meal. Only minor negative, the rice was a little dry. Next time, will ask for an extra dab of butter sauce to take care of the problem. Note: Beef and chicken also available for non-fish eaters. Not a special occasion restaurant but perfect for dinner and movie night or a family meal.

I was really looking forward to a nice low key fish restaurant that did not have to be the next five star sensation. But unfortunately they don’t have very good allergen controls. My daughter is allergic to shellfish. This restaurant does not segregate the shellfish so we had to pass. I think the thing that bugged me the most is they did not really seem to care or take the time to understand the concern. If things change I might give them a try in the future.
