Full House will no longer be full house much longer if they don’t improve their prices and dishes. The original Full House was Shanghai cuisine but it has changed to Beijing cuisine. Food quality has definitely decreased and prices are now inflated. For example, one onion pancake is $ 5.95. You can step next door to 99 Ranch and buy three onion pancakes for less than $ 3.00. As far as food variety, they now seem to cater towards dishes for meals with white rice and not as much on independent dishes. If anyone know where the original Full House went, please let us all know because their food was GREAT!

Loved this place so much that I came back the following day. Had a few repeats, but also a couple of different items. We had the boiled pig intestines, which I normally don’t find very appetizing, mainly due to off flavors and textures. However, this one was very clean and tender; you could tell that it was cooked at just the right temperature. Dan Dan Noodles were a delight, though my coworker who is from HK says that it’s not the style he was expecting, but it was still good. I’m not sure exactly where in China the staff is from. Noodles with pork and preserved vegetables was as expected, with a delicate pork broth and the requisite preserved vegetables. Wasn’t a star of the day, but still highly edible. The service was very prompt and friendly!

Driving around Dublin on a late Sunday afternoon, I noticed this one, right next door to 99 Ranch Market, so I chose it over the anonymous Chinese Buffet across the street. Filled, with Asian families, I figured I must be in a good place to take the dad, right? I had: Pork and Chive Dumplings Mandarin Chow Mein Sauteed Bean Sprouts and Garlic The dumplings I figured would be a safe bet, clearly some sort of tawainese/northern style chinese restaurant, I thought(lil ABC English only speaking me) – I did enquire which the waitress liked better, but she was non-committal in reply… that should have been a give away for me. Boring! Clearly housemade, but just not much flavor going on, a straight mix of pork and chives only. The chowmein was the shortish soft egg noodles, with a mélange of meats, and 3 shrimp. My dad said the beef was tough, but it was more chewy but non overcooked, a victim I suppose of negligent cutting, since I can only assume they used a lesser quality of meat. It was benign enough, a little oily, but nothing outstanding. the star of our lunch was the pile of greens, heaped high, with a couple of gently crushed garlic cloves in the pile. A little oily as well, but lovely – I’m a crunchy Californian who likes her vegetables, so I enjoyed the sprouty-ness of it, but others might have wanted more bang for their buck, the garlic was very subtle. I had higher expectations since it was right next to the bohemouth 99 Ranch Market, but perhaps I ordered wrong this time around. Either that, or the chef’s heart wasn’t in it. and he was wanting his own lunch. I’ll try again someday, but I’ll keep my eye out for other places in Dublin too!

Just OK food. Wanted to try something new in the area so we gave Full House a go. The Salt & Pepper items(shrimp, pork) where a bit greasy. The Chow Mein was pretty good. But what ruined the restaurant for me was our order of Pork Intestine & Pork Blood In Clay Pot. The blood didn’t taste like pork and the intestine tasted like it had been frozen for awhile. In addition, the broth was acidic and spicy, even for me. You could say that whoever tried the clay pot dish paid for it later on. Its an OK place. Just stay away from the exotic looking dishes if you’re not adventurous with your food.

This little Chinese place is relatively new. It’s located in a strip mall next door to 99 Ranch. It has been a Chinese restaurant for many years but by a succession of owners. I was just browsing the local Unilocal listings and saw that it was ‘4-star’ by a fair number of reviewers. So, we decided to try it. We were a party of four on an early Sunday night. They have a comprehensive menu and a special menu with about 30 items listed — all priced at 3 for $ 21 and includes either white rice or onion pancakes. We ordered Dry Sauteed Green Beans, Claypot Beef Stew and Broccoli Beef off the special menu and Shrimp w/Pineapple off the regular menu($ 9.99) and a Beef Chow Fun($ 6.95). Well, sadly, we were underwhelmed! The Chow Fun was dry and not much flavor. Dittto the Broccoli Beef. The Beef Stew was good — very tender and good flavor and had carrots and turnips — much like the way my mother used to make it. The shrimp dish was a major disappointment. They, essentially, did the shrimp like most places to Walnut Prawns with a mayo sauce but, here, they added chunks of pineapple — CANNEDPINEAPPLE! But, on the good side, it was relatively inexpensive with decent portions. But, the bad news is — the food lacks flavor and polish. However, we did see big bowls of Beef Noodles go by and they looked and smelled really good and many of the reviews did seem to focus on the noodle soups. If we go back, it won’t be for a full meal. Instead, it will be lunch or light dinner of soup noodles! Jim

Shanghainese Style Chinese Restaurant. Since this place is located next to 99 Ranch, they don’t really need to buy ingredients until they really need it — which contributes to the freshness and flavor of all their foods. The Shanghainese Dumplings(xiao long bao), is made by their employees. Customer Service was amazing… and even though we had two kids with us dropping food at times, they were still perfect and catered to our requests for mundane things(paper towels, hot water to warm the milk, etc).

We tried the 3 entrees(from the list) with Steamed Rice for $ 21.99 on a Sunday night. Salt and Pepper Chicken — not at all spicy(literally 2 slivers of green chili). I requested more chili’s for the chicken, they brought me a bowl of raw green chili’s. Eventually(after some banter between the kitchen — yikes!) I received the bowl of chili’s cooked and added to the Chicken. It was delicious. Tempura battered chicken, not at all salty, but flavorful with the sauteed white onions. Combination Chow Mein — It’s what I was craving, so I was a little disappointed. Kinda greasy(standard Chinese greasy). 3 medium sized shrimp on top(perfectly cooked). An «ok» amount of beef and veg mixed in. Not salty, but a little greasy for my personal taste. Chicken and Vegetables — Good stuff. Perfectly cooked slices of zucchini, broccoli, cabbage, bamboo shoot. Nothing special, but good *smiles* I had to ask for water, but we were seated with ready to drink hot tea. Don’t opt for rice, when you can have the Onion Pancake(delicious). The service isn’t the greatest. Yes, the first 2 tables at the front door are for various family members(usually gma and gpa to sit and chill –I like). We had 2 boxes leftover for tomorrow’s lunch. *Definitely dumbed-down for the general population. Nothing special, but a-ok. *** Good for lunch or families ***

This is the only family style affordable Chinese restaurant that I know of in Dublin. I really like the choose 3 dishes for $ 22 concept. I don’t think there are other chinese restaurants close by that also do this. So that’s why I’m giving them 5 stars. The lady that served us was also super nice. Our grandma was with us and the waitress was very kind & respectful to her. I really like that. Grandma asked if there would be any dessert soup at the end and they normally don’t do that but they made us a redbean pancake for her so we could have something sweet at the end. Plus, plus for them. I would recommend this place for sure.

I have to say the service is really great — the waitresses are friendly, serves your food with a smile, answers questions and takes your order with a smile whether or not you can remember the name to the dishes. I came here with two girlfriends of mine, one of whom I hadn’t seen in quite some time, so you can imagine how much we had to catch up on. Although the restaurant was almost always full, they never gave us the impression that they wanted us to eat and leave. The food was good — it wasn’t the best I’ve ever eaten but it was good, especially for the price. They have(what I assume is a special that runs all the time) a deal, 3 dishes plus a scallion cake or white rice for $ 21.99 which had some interesting stuff on the menu. So we opted for the scallion cake, and also ordered a combination chow mein, dry sauteed green beans, and black pepper beef. We added on the beef stew noodle soup since it’s one of my Taiwanese faves and it’s gotten some great reviews on Unilocal. The chow mein was okay — a bit dry and lacked flavor. The sauteed green beans were good albeit not as tender as I would have liked and the black pepper beef wasn’t as peppery as I’m usually used to. The beef noodle soup though was pretty good. The noodles tasted handmade, were tender with a little bite. The beef was super yummy, fall apart soft and the broth was pretty flavorful, but not spicy. I would come back to try their other noodle dishes or their Taiwanese breakfast(seemed popular!) but I don’t think I’ll be getting many more of their individual dishes. But again, very friendly, how do you choose!

Came here for lunch with two coworkers for the first time. Food was decent(deserving of 3 stars), but service was not up to par. I ordered the Shrimp & Beef Noodle Soup. The price was fair, and the portion was a good size, but the flavor was a bit lacking. It was a bit bland for my taste. Plus, the name of the dish says shrimp, but you only get three shrimp. Fail. My buddy ordered the Spicy Beef and Tendon Noodle Soup. That looked legit and he said it was tasty. I looked around and saw their lunch special rice plates and they looked teeny — served on a small plate. Couple of things that dropped their rating. We had three people, and when our time came to pay the check, I asked if we could split the bill in two. She said she can’t do that. Really? Strike one. I overheard her telling the table next to us, there is a $ 15 minimum to use your credit card. Their bill was $ 14.90. Are you serious? The guy said, just charge $ 15. Strike two! I don’t think I’m going to be back to witness a strike out… If you’re coming with a large group of people and are planning on splitting the bill, don’t come here. The food isn’t good enough to make up for their short sightedness in the customer service area.

I got a fever, and the only prescription, is more sticky rice rolls. I love love love sticky rice rolls, with shredded pork sung, and the fried Chinese doughnut. I’m glad to finally have a restaurant in the Dublin area that has it. I also really liked their take on sticky rice cakes. Not too heavy on the gravy and oil, and lightly seasoned. I like to add my own white pepper to my rice cakes anyways. I also really like their shao bing(toasted sesame roll, meat, onions and plum sauce sandwiched inside). Their shao bing portions are massive, makes me happy, because then I can pig out. Their Beef noodle soup is outrageously awesome, make sure you have people to share it with, portion is good for 2 – 4 people. Full House also has some insane 3 entrée meal deal for like 20 something dollars. Haven’t tried it, but it seems to be popular. Service can be a little slow when they are packed.

3.5 stars. I dragged some friends to this relatively nondescript restaurant located to the right of Ranch 99. I had noticed it a month ago when I went to the Ranch for some CNY groceries. I made a mental note to come back and try Full House. The thought of noodle soups and onion pancakes(cong yiou bing) made my mouth water. So for lunch, I grabbed 2 friends willing to try a little Chinese food. We also learned that it was Taiwanese cuisine(mostly) after looking over the menu and speaking with the owner. I was torn over a few items but landed on the traditional Taiwanese Beef Noodle Soup($ 5.99). She asks how spicy you want it. You should take it at least a bit spicy. It brings out the flavor. I thought mine was pretty good. Here’s the breakdown: — Beef: gets an «A». The meat was tender, obviously braised, and very flavorful. It had more of a sweet note than how I’m accustomed but it was still good. She threw in a few pieces of tendon for me too. Good stuff. — Noodle: B+. These were thick noodles which is fine but I felt they lacked the«chew» of truly freshly pulled noodles. They were also just a tad too thick. It was too much noodle for my chopsticks to handle. — Broth: B+. The color was too dark. It really threw me off. It looked more like dark soy sauce though it tasted sweet. It was good though. Could have used more anise or 5 spice for added complexity. Overall dish while not like my mom’s home cooking, was good. Was more than a generous portion of noodles and beef. And I liked the fresh greens included. My friend JD ordered the stir fry Singapore Noodles. I had a bite. It was typical. AL ordered the Snow Cabbage Pork Noodle Soup. That was a cleaner clear broth. Not as flavorful as my dish I think. I liked the menu offerings. There were some lunch specials and some homestyle Taiwanese dishes I would come back for. Looking forward to my next trip.

Very good food that is elevated in my mind by the excellent value-for-money and friendly, accommodating owners. A super addition to the Tri-Valley, which has way too few authentic Chinese places(beyond Green Valley and Koi Garden). Recommendations: Dan Dan Noodles(chewy udon-style noodles with a spicy meat/veggie sauce), any of the variations on the Taiwanese beef noodle soup(great flavor, soft-as-marshmallow-meat). Lots of other yummy-sounding non-Cantonese dishes that I’m eager to try. Value: Like Green Valley(San Ramon) and scores of places in Fremont/Oakland, Full House offers a 3 dishes for $ 21.99 deal. This menu is more limited in scope, but there are good things on it, too. Great for takeout. Management: the female owner, who apparently runs this place with her female cousin, made sure that the food came out very light on the salt/oil, as per my father’s request. That may seem like a small thing, but it’s a very difficult ask at a Chinese restaurant. BTW, for purists who want to know her credentials, the lao-ban-yang(female owner) said she is Cantonese(Zhongshan)-via-Shanghai(hence her fluency in both Cantonese and Mandarin and perhaps even more others) and that this is the first place she’s owned.

I appreciate that the staff was nice and that they take credit cards without trying to impose a minimum charge. But the food was just bland. The fried rice I had was mushy and completely flavorless with old looking peas. The veggies and tofu had no flavor.

Awesome special we got the pick 3 dishes that comes with a side of scallion cake or steamed rice but added an extra dish. General Tsao Chicken: Very flavorful, meaty as they used all breast meat a plus String Beans: So fresh and cooked to perfection the kids were eating them like tic tacs LOL Mongolian Beef: had a smoky flavor to the meat but could of been spicier(maybe they didn’t give it that kick since the kids were with us??) House Chow Mein: very good portion with shrimp, chicken, beef, veggies etc not greasy at all. The kids ate everything so thats a real good sign(: Good food, good prices, good portions and good service we will be back LOL

Rating: 3.5 stars Upon entering, I notice the place is literally a full house on a Friday night filled a bunch of asians. My parents and I were waiting near the door for about a minute or two before anyone noticed we were there. *I noticed this occurred to almost everyone. Being seated seems to not be there main concern. This place is also TINY but nicely decorated. Holds 35 max i believe. What we ordered: *onion pancake– typical, good amount green onion and crisp with a few doughy layers in between *beef stew clay pot — waitress heard us incorrectly and got beef tendon stew instead– tendon, carrot, and daikon; still decent, loved how the stuff was cooked down so it was nice and tender; *3 cups chicken– my FAVE dish of the evening; chopped chicken wings(I wish it was thigh meat though) with whole garlic cloves and basil; great flavor although this was the first time i’ve ever ordered this dish *fish fillet w/mixed veggies– looked unappetizing since they stirred the fish too much=crumbs and tiny pieces of fish in the gravy; «mixed veggies”= about 5 shaved slices of zuchinni, some carrots, and an overdose of bamboo shoots which i do not even like. *spicy noodle soup– pretty spicy with thick noodles, beef, mushroom, and cabbage; good, nice flavor. but pretty much just taste spiciness. *rice is charged per bowl and dishes are not huge, but not tiny either. Each dish can be split with 2 – 3 people, so in order to be full, you may want 4 dishes between three people. We finished everything but the beef stew. I would order the 3 cups chicken again for sure. The rest I would try something different. During our meal, I noticed dishes came out slowly and the waiters kept sending dishes to wrong tables at least 3 – 4 times. I’m sure they will hire more cooks once business picks up like tonight.

Been back for two more times now since my initial visit and this is still the place to go in the Tri-Valley for everyday authentic Chinese(while Koi Garden is great for dim sum and special occasions). Beef noodle soup is still THE item to get here. I’ve had the snow cabbage with shredded pork noodle soup(#123) on Friday and overall noodle and broth was alright. The deep fried pork chop noodle soup(#130) is not recommended though. The pork was just not fried to deliciousness and the cuts were uneven to a bit messy. The broth of the noodle was not impressive. The noodle dishes are still the thing the get here. The dishes have been a hit or miss. The drunken chicken was good but the pieces were cut, again, very awkwardly. I think it’s the growing pains. May they be successful now and in the near future!
