They are still selling Groupons for this location even though this location is closed for good. Very sad

All of that poor planning and execution just to close in a year. Congratulations. Think this will hurt your brand here in Central Ohio?

Shade deserves an updated review. We first visited on soft open and they were barely treading water from a service perspective. But the food was good. Lots of options and lots of wing flavor options, especially since they do not frown upon mixing sauces.
Having tried multiple pizzas, salads, sandwiches and wing concoctions, I give them a solid 3 – 3.5 stars on the food. We now only sit at the bar or in the bar area, so I can’t necessarily speak for the entire restaurant but service has always been good to very good — a solid 4+ every visit.
Business has steadily picked up to the point of tonight where the bar area is overflowing; and there have been other very busy nights where I would say that Shade is starting to challenge some of the other local spots if nothing more than a great place to grab a beer, maybe watch a game, etc.
If you haven’t been, it’s worth a stop for slightly above average bar food and a good draft beer selection. If you haven’t been back since the first few weeks after opening, give it another chance and I think you may be encouraged by the improvement.

Decent service, bad food. I gave it three tries, should’ve known better. I’m surprised it’s made it as long as it has. There are so many good options in the area, don’t waste your money here.

Shade has became my favorite place to hang out. The bartender remembered me my second time visiting and after a few more visits other employees and even customers were interacting with me. It is a great place to watch sports. If you enjoy getting smacked in the face with tvs this is the place for you. Food– I’ve only had a few items off their extremely large menu but that is because I enjoy their meat pizza and ceaser salad pizza.

Not a busy lunch crowd… handful of tables, however, very slow service. Sit down and drink order and brought out fast, however, the wait to put our meal order in was 10min. Then the wait for a Ruben Sandwich and salad took 20min. I also asked for Texas Toast instead of Rye bread… recieved Rye bread. It wasnt worth mentioning and waiting another 20min. Ok… but there are better places for service.

The hostess was on the phone and ignoring me. So I went to the bar, it was completely full. Went back to the hostess she did not even notice, so I left.
I have been here for lunch a few time and the food is terrible.
Based on tonight I will probably not return.

Seriously, get the buffalo shrimp appetizer with Ragin’ and Oriental sauces mixed on them … side of blue cheese and you’re in heaven …
This place has a lot of options on the menu, but their buffalo wings (boneless or bone-​in) are their strength and the reason you should eat here … better than Roosters in my opinion. Ask the waitress about which sauces are best for which foods, and have them help you figure out what your tastes will like and you won’t be sorry. Great place to watch a game and hang out with friends … I will be back for sure …

Great place you can come in at night or come in at day it will be a great time for you. The chicken wings are crispy the inside is soft white meat on the inside. A meal fit for a king would be 10 of there chicken wings a coke and some fries for only 6.99 on Tuesdays. You can’t beat that. The salads have a good Roman crunch to them the waitress remembers you by name. Great father son place. And it’s nice to have a mint after the game and food. Nice family place to. That’s why I give this place 5 stars

We were so excited to discover Shades of Muirfield near our home and so wanted to love this place. We have tried 3 times to give it a chance, the pizza was good, but it only comes in small, however every sandwich we have tried so far has been tasteless. My gyro tasted nearly the same as my husbands philly cheesesteak? Don’t even get me started on their soggy fries. Very dissapointed in their sandwiches. They do have very friendly servers & staff, clean big & open place, lots of TV’s for sports, never crowded, but so far have been dissapointed in their food, way to bland.

Poor food quality: wings were awful and mozzarella sticks are straight from Gordon food services. Service was average at best. Stay away, I wish I went to roosters instead.

I can’t speak for much of the menu because every time I go there I get wings. The wings are awesome and our service has always been great. We used the party room today and had about 25 people and our waitress was great. They also have groupons posted online frequently. The only downside for me is the French fries are very mediocre. Otherwise the wings and the environment are great!

Shades was OK, your run of the mill bar food.
I was there for lunch, but they have a decent beer selection and the menu has a TON to choose from.
I got a spicy chicken sandwich & chili fries. Both were pretty good; not the best but just average.
I would go back for lunch or happy hour.
The interior is pretty nice, it doesn’t look like your run of the mill sports bar. The wait staff was very friendly & food came out quickly.
Overall, a pretty decent place to grab food and watch a game.

Cold beer. Great food and great service. I have not had one thing on the menu that is not fantastic. Pay not attention to the previous reviews who have said the service isn’t great. Service is EXCELLENT. I’d recommend the fish tacos, spicy chicken sandwich, Cuban sandwich, wings and boneless have great flavors. Parm garilc, inferno, island. Order them all! Great beer selection. Always cold. Why are you reading this and not headed to shade? Highly recommend!

Went in late around 11pm on sat. Bar was packed. No one in restaurant side. I wanted to try the pizza because they claim to have the best sauce. Thin crust pizza, topping was good, but nothing special about the pizza.

I was really hoping this would be the neighborhood place of choice. Instead it is absolutely forgettable. Even when the bar is not busy, be prepared for a long wait and an average cocktail. I can normally judge a bar by how they make an old fashion or a Manhattan. In either case when I see the bartender have to ask another how to make it or refer to a book, I know this is a beer bar. The new décor makes this a loud place even with an smaller crowd. You can also count on slow service from the kitchen. We order some appetizers and after 20 minutes the waitress came over and apologized letting us know just how frustrated she was with the kitchen. We cancelled our food order and decided to move on.
Yes, this is a rough review but the expectation was so high. Mary Kelly’s had its faults but they were no where near this. It is obvious that the employees are not working together which just translated into bad customer experience. I hope they turn it around. I’ll continue to stop in to see if things improve because the area really needs a go to neighborhood establishment.

Look, here’s the scoop for those that have lived in the area for a while. This place is NOT Mary Kelley’s. It’s a very casual sports bar/​casual food joint that as far as I can tell is family friendly.
There’s nothing wrong with it being what it is. Does it fit in with a lot of the other restaurants in the area? Nope. Should the owners have maybe changed slightly their style compared to what they do in an Athens or Lancaster? Probably, but that’s up to them and their bottom line will let them know that.

OK, forget all of that. I was at the bar, non crowded tonight. Could barely get refills on alcohol. And this place wonders why its the lowest performing of the Shades? (Bartenders words)
Huge menu, decent prices on food. TVs are new.

I journeyed out to Dublin today to watch the OSU game with a few friends. I don’t live near this area, so I rarely come to this side of town. This place is a little bit off the main arteries of Dublin, sitting in a small shopping center.
The interior is quite large with plenty of tables, and nice private dining area and a large bar in the back, separated by a nice fireplace. There are plenty of TV’s if you want to catch a game.
I had a hard time figuring out what I wanted to eat. This place has a menu with lots of items to choose from. Lots of sandwiches and pizza’s. I would say the food was average as I only had the pulled pork sandwich. Nothing to exciting to write about, but I really didn’t get to try much. The fried were really good, and they probably have the best homemade chips I’ve ever had! There was also a nice selection of beer on tap. Service was good, servers on that day tend to be on the younger side.

Time to update and I’ll go up to four stars. They were really «on» last night. Friendly and fast service. My wife’s salad was «memorable» in her words. The chicken on it was outstanding. The wings continue to impress my teenager.
We’re in there a couple times a month — the big draw continues to be geography. It’s nice to have a pub in the ‘hood. And one that’s not obnoxiously overwhelmed with flat panel TVs like BW3.
Not sure why they haven’t utilized the small patio out front? Maybe because the weather has been so iffy? Seems like it would also be awkward to serve out there through the main double doors.
