Dr. Stoner and his staff provide the highest quality of professional services and care. I had surgery and NO pain after. Dr. Stoner has improved the quality of my life by providing substantive results as well as improving my overall feeling of wellness and confidence and helping improve my smile. I was referred to Dr. Stoner by my dentist. I had severe gum recession and needed eight gum grafts. I put it off for many years because of the horror stories I had heard from others that had the procedure done.
Dr. Stoner agreed to do the surgery in one setting (3 hours). I am extremely pleased with the work that he did. I have to say my experience was the complete opposite. I had minimal pain and healed nicely. I went home with thorough instructions and followed them.
His office staff lacks (Kelly). She wasn’t responsive and assured me the insurance claim would be filed the day of the surgery. 30 days after surgery (when I started wondering where my money from the insurance company was), I emailed her and called her (no response). Finally I talked to Kayla (Kelly’s manager) and she told me the claim was never filed. Kayla took care of it and filed it that day.

Here I am, the girl who’s never broken a bone, been in the hospital, or ever had surgery, and I found myself in recent need for a gum grafting (aka mouth surgery.) Yep, I needed replacement gum so my teeth wouldn’t fall out when I turned 45, and so I could eat ice cream and drink hot cocoa without cringing.
I was referred here by my regular dentist, so already some of the tough work of finding a reputable oral surgeon was done for me. (Recommendations are a great thing, after all.)
I made an appointment — easy. I was encouraged to fill out my paperwork online prior to my first consultation — super easy AND convenient. And my initial impression of the staff and overall operation was a great one. I was at ease about my choice to have them do stitching in my mouth and confident in their ability to do a good job. Turns out this is one of the only places in the city that offers this procedure without grafting gum from your own mouth. All considered, I still felt more than comfortable choosing to have my procedure here.
Each consultation (surgery included) was thorough. My questions were answered. My surgery was comfortable and efficient, and my recovery instructions were clear. The only time I felt uncomfortable was when we were discussing which areas we were going to do first at my first consultation, how I was going to pay for it, and what really «needed» to be done. It felt more sales-​y and less about the concern for my oral health.
All in all, they made my first surgical experience a pleasant one — and if you think about it — how many times can you say surgery is pleasant?
