Bad customer service! Really really bad! The worst place to purchase expensive items. !

This target has been around since I was a kid(at least 15 years from my memory) back when the library was where the senior citizen center is now. They have a small food court area but no Starbucks inside like the newer targets do. They also have not upgraded to self checkout yet. The lines at this target during the day can have you waiting 15 – 20 minutes to checkout and they usually only have 2 – 3 registers open which slows down the lines when there are over a dozen families waiting to be checked out. This store sells a little of everything from clothing, groceries, cosmetics, house cleaning supplies and a pharmacy. My dad came here for about a year for his insulin since he has diabetes but switched over to Walmart when he realized targets pharmacy cost more than going to Walmart or CVS/Walgreens. If you come in the evening you may notice the store might look closed even though it’s not. It seems like they try to close as early as possible to avoid anyone from causing them to be open a few minutes past closing.

The location is odd. The parking is tight(also odd). I came in for a movie they didn’t have. I can’t get back the 30 minutes of my life I wasted here. Definitely better laid out Targets across the nation. However, maybe I haven’t been to one in a while, but I would like to point out they do have self checkout here. A first that I have seen.

Target is amazing. I recently have become a fan of their clothing department. The quality is always great, and prices reasonable. Since El Nino came to town my wardrobe was in dire need of a new winter coat. Being from Bakersfield, this is a completely new concept. Who needs a winter coat? A thick sweater, long pants and you’re good to go! This was not the case with the past few weeks of freezing temps. Luckily, this Target is a real gem. While it may not look like it from the outside, the number of good deals to be had inside far outweighs it’s micro selection. Typically I’m struggling to find items I both like and fit in the clearance section. I ended up scoring two coats that were long gone in other store. Definitely a diamond in the rough Target.

The customer service is terrible. The restrooms stink and are dirty. One time, when I was buying a shaver and the sign said it was $ 3, but when I was paying for it, the computer said it was $ 8. I then told her that the sign there said the shaver was $ 3 but she just said«You want it or not?» with a serious attitude. None of the cashiers ever say«thank you for shopping» or something like that. They just say«here you go», and that is very unpolite.

The intoxicating smell of popcorn & formaldehyde hits you in the face as you enter the store, but I think it’s their magical potion that gets you to ultimately buy more… and I always do.

I actually like this Target a lot. I am always able to find all of my essentials here. They are even growing the amount of gluten free products they carry which is nice and you can get them quite a bit cheaper here than some of the other natural grocers. Usually everything is well organized and the bathrooms are also kept up.
