I had a good encounter with team DJ at a local vendor fair and got a great quote. I have emailed the company 4 or 5 times to get an official consult with my fiancé and book. Zero responses to my emails. I would think they would want to at least try to be cordial and respond. Obviously they don’t need my business.

I think that the owner’s comment says it all. No apology, no denial, no request for additional information, just a «she’s not in our database». Given your experience with weddings, Todd, I am sure that you are familiar with the custom of a woman changing her name afterward — or have you just never provided DJ services at any wedding with any bride named«Amy»? In some cases, the groom actually enlists the services of the DJ — or have you never provided DJ services to anyone with the last initial of «J»? You see, both of these would need to be true in order for your«database» comment to be valid. Right now, it’s just really insulting to me. Obviously, I won’t be posting my full name and contact details on a public website, nor do I expect anything from you. But I am sharing my experience, because I don’t want other people to have a similar disaster on their wedding day. If you need details to validate that I was actually your customer, the DJ’s name was Jack and the wedding was in 2005. Maybe you will find him in your database.

My husband and I highly recommend Team DJ for anyone’s party and or wedding. After checking out several DJs in the area, we decided to go with Team DJ. We met with Pete about 4 – 5 months before our wedding to ‘lock in the date’ and then a month before to decide on the songs for the reception. Pete was very helpful in making song choices and was very down to earth. He was a great addition to our wedding celebration that night. I do remember he was dancing with one of my bridesmaids later in the night. Truly professionals. I would highly recommend them!
