Courtesy Cleaners

This laundry is close to my house. The machines are always clean and I don’t worry about ruining my clothes! The prices are good and the dryers are pretty good as well! The staff is very friendly and always helpful! I have been coming here over the last couple of months and the laundry is maintaining their good level of service!

I used to go to Courtesy Cleaners on Hill Street frequently because I lived a few blocks away. But the last time I went there they were extremely rude to me. When I lived in Dubuque I had 3 jobs and usually worked from 7 or 8 am to 9 or 10 pm 7 days a week. One day in February I had a rare evening off from work, so I decided to do laundry, but I didn’t get to Courtesy Cleaners until 8:30. Previously, their policy had been last load in by 9pm.
As soon as I walked in the door, the attendant snapped and said «Uh-​uh-​uh!». I asked if she was closing up, and told her I was under the impression that it was last load in by 9. She very rudely informed me that it had been last load in by 8:30 for «quite a while».
I understand that they changed their hours, and that it was relatively late at night, so that is not what I am complaining about. But I thought the attendant was very rude to me and I did not appreciate being yelled at for not knowing the latest changes in their business hours. For the rest of my time in Dubuque I took my business to Giant Wash Sanitary Towel Service near Eagle’s instead, even though they charge more.
