Dumpy. Broken everything. Sticky and filthy. The women’s restroom is something out of a horror film.

this place is family run and has excellent customer service. the popcorn is the best and the coffee shop is great. they even delivered my coffee to me in the theater!

I prefer to support local business so if Mindframe is showing something I want to see I’m there! But please fix up the bathroom because, after seeing a scary movie, I’m too scared to go in there alone and pee. Friendly staff & awesome concessions.

Not as glamorous as others, but privately owned. Has a charm to it that can’t be found at chain theater. Highly recommend.

There are several reasons why the Mindframe is the best movie going option in Dubuque.
1. Evening shows, even on Fridays and Saturdays, is $ 8. That’s two dollars less than the Big Boxer on the West End.
2. Best popcorn in town. It’s not even a close second.
3. Cool ticket stubs. Really.
From what I’ve heard, Mindframe began as a theatre that was supposed to show independent films, the kind of stuff that didn’t make it to the AMC. In my opinion, they’ve kind of sold out, which I can understand from a ‘we need to stay in business’ point of view. But that said, it does somewhat piss me off when the same crap is playing at both the AMC and Mindframe. But nonetheless, I give it Five Stars for effort, and dutifully remove one star for the frequent showing of crap.

Edit: I’m done with this place. It’s become far too ghetto for me. Broken seats, crappy seats, uncomfortable seats. I’ve been to four movies in my life when the film has broken midway through; three of them have been at Mindframe (and I’ve lived here only four of my thirty six years). If MIndframe has a movie that I want to see at the bigbox doesn’t have it, I will consider seeing it at Mindframe. Otherwise, I’m out to the bigbox, and this breaks my heart a little.
