We ate lunch on a Wednesday, the staff was super nice and friendly. We ordered the buffet and they offered to specially make any pizza we wanted. I tried an assortment of what they had out, it was hot and the crust was crispy, but it was just OK. I like more spice in the sauce and seasoning. The salad bar was good.

Great atmosphere. I enjoy spending time here and visit regulaly. Try the chicken, bacon ranch pizza with tomatoes. Recommend as one of Dubuque ‘s premium family restaurants.

Would not go back. Was with a group it 10 an told only one check for all. Did not want pizza but could not order anything else as was a large group. Really will not tell others to ho there but will go to shot tower instead were customer is still the customer.

This used to be the best pizza in town but it no longer even resembles the pizza it used to be. I picked up the to go box and it was so light I had to check and make sure there was a pizza in it. The pizza was nothing special and borderline flavorless. The owners should be ashamed for taking a once great establishment and ruining it. All thats left is the name!

Teetering on a 2.25/2.5ish star review… I went on a Tuesday at around 1:30 and had to ask if they were open because not a single customer was there. The 3 ladies working were very polite, though and confirmed they were indeed in business. The location is downstairs in an office building type of situation. The business itself is your typical bar. Everything was clean enough, but it was pretty dark in there. Prices were a bit high compared to the other two joints I went to in DBQ, Watershed and Falbros, but not crazy high in an artisany kind of way. The pizza itself, was very plain. Painfully average. There wasn’t a real standout quality about it. Sort of a bland, tough crust. Average, run of the mill cheese. Sauce that just average as well. Not a BAD pizza, but DBQ apparently has a huge amount of solid choices.

I was wavering between a 3 and a 4 for Town Clock Inn. Is the pizza spectacular? No. But it was good, solid pizza. It was one of the few downtown restaurants open for dinner on a weeknight so I was happy to find it. It’s kid-friendly and vegetarian friendly. The service was friendly and helpful. If I were in the area again, I’d go back.

Went for the lunch buffet. Good pizza not great. Very friendly staff. My biggest complaint is the price. After tip it was $ 13 for my lunch and when I asked for a to-go cup refill I was given basically a kids-size. I’d go back for dinner with a group but probably not for the buffet again.

In town on a local construction project, asked our in town guy for a good place close to bring a customer. A little scary as we walked down into the basement, thinking shit bet my customer is thinking, what the hell. Had an excellent Buffett. Salad bar was perfect and pizza selection fantastic. What a surprise, may have to go back after work for a beer sometime. Best pizza Buffett I’ve had in a very long time.

Best pizza in Dubuque! It’s a strange location(in the basement) but definitely worth the trip.

It’s in the basement… its not the easiest for handicap access. But its got great deep dish pizza. They are fast and reasonably priced. Good old school DBQ!

The Town Clock Inn is an old Dubuque pizza joint which has been around seemingly forever. It’s short on atmosphere, although I love the fact that it’s located in the basement of an office building! It gives the place an air of mystery — or at least, it did when I was younger. In fact, most of my memories are from fifteen to twenty years ago, when I was in high school and Ms. Pac Man was the queen of the arcade. But I went back recently, and I’m happy to report that the pizza is still quite good and VERY reasonably priced. Everyone seems to know each other, and the waitress who served me recently remembered me from my high school days — a long time ago indeed.
