Great selections of fresh produce at such low prices! I can find everything on my grocery list here!:)

You can find this restaurant inside the left corner of the Plaza. It is unassuming, friendly, linguistically authentic, fund, well priced with decent food.

Assi Plaza is huge and reminds me of Asian groceries on the West coast for some reason. Maybe its the size and sheer variety of the people shopping, but it gives off a Cali vibe. The produce section is very extensive and very cheap; however, you get what you pay for. The produce is not as fresh as other places, and you have to do a little digging to find that one fruit that doesn’t have a ton of bruises on it. They also sell Assi brand packaged goods and the quality is pretty good. My favorite is the ginger tea packets which are way cheaper than the other brands.

This is my go to place for groceries and fish. I’d advise cooking whatever meat you purchase there on that day. I’d had a bad experience or 2 with some of their meat. But the prices for produce is awesome.

This is a great market to go to when you need Korean groceries. There are also smaller stores inside the main store, selling various items from insurance to clothing. It was like a mini mall. The produce here was so affordable. They have such a wide selection of produce as well as meats and seafood. I love how there was a picture chart on how you would like the butcher to prepare your fish. I’m a visual person, so I appreciated that a lot. They even sold sashimi! That is something I’ve never seen before! There were also samples available throughout the stores of various products they were trying to sale. Another cool item we found was Korean beer which I’ve had difficulty finding. Another great Asian market in the Duluth area. Great prices and deals! Come check it out, if you’re in the area. If you’re not into crowds, then I suggest coming when they open or really late at night.

It’s not the nicest looking grocery store but very large. It has variety selections of ethnic groceries along with food to either take out or dine in at the food court. The prices are incredible! They had amazing deals on fruit, vegetables, and meats. If you are a frequent grocery shopper, you should consider taking a trip to assi

The store is a better version of great wall. If you visit this, more than likely you won’t need to visit great wall, which has questionable reputation of grocery items.

If you regularly buy groceries, consider coming to this supermarket. This place has so many good, low prices on fruits and vegetables. It just depends on what’s in season. I know that in other grocery markets, lemons are over a dollar each, but on some days, Assi sells up to six lemons for a dollar! Great deal. Not only does this place have groceries, they have many isles of international country’s products. Different snacks, spices, and boxed products from different countries. This grocery market also has live, fresh fish. However, sometimes there are dead fish in the tank. Be careful. Lol In addition to being a normal supermarket, this place has a bakery, eye contact/glasses store, cell phone store, clothes/underwear store, makeup store, and a food court with different types of foods including korean, Chinese, and filipino. If you’re in the area, and you’re bored or just need some groceries, don’t be afraid to stop by! This store attracts mostly Asian and Hispanic ethnic groups. :) Happy shopping!

I find this place better than the one on old Peachtree street. because of more business, you get more fresh produce than anywhere.

Assi is definitely my go-to place for groceries, especially fruits and vegetables. The prices are cheaper than most farmer’s markets(including H-Mart) and definitely uberly cheaper than Kroger or Publix. I love the fact that I can walk in and get my authentic Asian ingredients(anything from Thai red curry paste and gochujang to mung beans, black soy bean milk, and tofu of all levels of firmness imaginable), Indo-Pak products(a bazillion varieties of chickpeas, achaar, cookies, and soaps, shampoos and henna), to even foods from my native European region of Balkans(Vegeta seasoning, Podravka pates, ajvar). Assi also has a large selection of fresh and frozen seafood. They also have a prepared food department with many prepared dishes or prepared ingredients(such as kimchi and seaweed salad). They make famous Korean foods such as kimbap and japchae daily. There are also several ethnic restaurants located in the food court. There is also a Mozart Bakery and Café inside the grocery store for your sweet tooth cravings.

One of the huge perks to living in Atlanta and some parts of Georgia is the diversity here. Our airport is the largest international airport and we’re a hub for so many different cultures. We have Buford Highway, Korean cafes in all sorts of places, both Tex-Mex and authentic Mexican places, Indian buffets, Middle Eastern, Ethiopian, and all sorts of restaurants where we can learn about other cultures. Well we also have Assi Plaza where all these cultures meet in the form of groceries. Going to Assi Plaza, you can find food from all parts of the world here. I am able to go to an aisle to get foods that remind my parents of their Indian childhood, and then grab some Eastern European sweets from the next aisle all while passing my favorite frozen mochi and seaweed snacks and marveling at all the different types of green teas they have in the store. They have everything from fresh vegetables at awesome prices to kitchen utensils, frozen foods, and also the basic things you can get at any other grocery store although those things might be more expensive here. Assi Plaza also has a food court and I don’t think most of these places really stay, but I did notice the Peruvian Burger place has been there for a while and Sedap, a Thai/Malaysian place has lots of great reviews on Unilocal. There are also a couple of Korean places and it looks like a Bambu Vietnamese drinks place use to be here. All in all, Assi Plaza is a great place to both learn about other cultures, try new foods, and at the same time get your basic items on your grocery list before getting something to eat for lunch or dinner from the food court on your way out.

Oh, I love this market! Everything is so cheap & affordable. 10 bunches of onions for $ 1! The seafood here is pretty fresh. Overall, a great market.

Sadly, they dont have good veggies(not fresh) :(but always come here to get the seafoods and meats, pretty fresh with reasonable price. They have aisles of asian snacks, seasoning, or whatever related to asian foods, they have it! so it’s pretty complete and vary in brands too. Once a while they offer a very good deal sale om certain items. They have food court but small(less crowded) compared to hmart/great wall.

I didnt spend much time in here because I was only in here to waste time while waiting for my sandwich next door at lees but what I did see what great. They have everything you need as an asian at good prices(especially if you are korean). I would say the prices at competitive with Hmarts and they seem to carry a lot of the same things as hmart and similar aspects such as both having bakeries, food court, etc. I probably will be back to check out the place better in the future :)

Assi is my favorite Korean supermarket of choice. Sure, there are newer, grander, and trendier supermarkets but Assi never fails. Great place for cheap produce! I’ve been to many Korean Supermarkets in my lifetime, and I’d prefer Assi over Mega Mart, Super H Mart, Great Wall, and Nam Dae Moon. What are the important criteria to me? Price, Selection, and Access. I definitely come here for the produce! Lots of items on sale. For example, 10 bunches of green onion for .99, and 10 limes for $ 1. I love the ladies demonstrating the free samples around the store. Every now and then they would have a deal where if you spend a certain amount of money you can buy a box of about 25 Napa Cabbage for $ 0.99. I always get it for my mom to make Kimchi. Such a steal! Their Seafood selection is very impressive. It’s always so fresh, and the price is great. I love it when they have the $ 4.99 a lb for a Lobster. I always get at least 3 lobsters. The food court is another wonderful story. I love the Bento boxes from here, and the Seaweed Salad. It’s definitely fresher on the weekends. Overall, the place is great. I love their price, selection, and access. What more do you want?

For sure Koreans here are TENTIMESNICER than the ones in Los Angeles! Since there aren’t many Asian markets around, this Korean market has EVERYTHING(it seems) to make Vietnamese dishes! :)

Assi is one of my fave Asian supermarkets to shop. I love the big variety of Indian products that are available. I can shop for Asian and Indian ingredients here. I also like their seafood area, it is a lot bigger than most other Asian supermarkets. In addition, I also think their food court is pretty damn good compared to all the other ones. I used to go there just for Lee’s Phở but since it’s closed down, there is Bambu(Vietnamese), Kuya’s Food Express(Filipino), Sedap(Malaysian/Thai), A1 Japanese & Sushi(it’s Lao, not Japanese, seriously), and more. There is Latino bakery also and of course, lots of Latino products. I would go to Assi more if it was closer to me. When I’m in need of some products, sometimes I would head over to Super H(I love their coupon options & they have a rewards card) or Hong Kong Supermarket(they have a rewards card)

I’d prefer Assi over Super H & Mega Mart any day. The items are reasonably priced & the store is huge! Just like any international grocery store, the crowd & traffic is ridiculous. So I try to avoid the rush hour when it’s possible. The food court is very impressive. I’ve tried the A1 Japanese & Sushi. Note: It’s really a Laotian restaurant owned by a Laotian woman that also sells sushi. It’s pretty good. Service there is also very friendly. I’ve also tried Arirang. Delish! No complaints at all.

Assi is a behemoth of an Asian/Latino grocery store with all the produce, meat, and shelf stable goods you could need or want. We left with our shopping cart filled over the brim with what felt like a bajillion vegetables, fruit and meat… all for $ 150. This could feed a family of 7 for two weeks! I know lots of folks travel from out of state(Birmingham, Memphis, etc) to get their month’s supply of Asian groceries — if I were them, I’d come to Assi. I felt like I was in a large version of H-mart with a larger selection of everything. The prices are cheaper at Assi even compared to H-mart with coupons! The seafood selection was what impressed me the most. There was a plethora of fresh fish, octopus/squid, shrimp, live lobster and fiesty crabs. As a kid, that was one of the most exciting things about Asian grocery stores(after you’ve put up with the smell). A hint is to pick the meanest crabs — they have the juiciest meat. On the far left of the store, there’s an international food court with cuisine from your usual(Korea, Japan, China), but they even had cuisine from Mexico, Peru, Philippines, and Malaysia! The Peruvian vendor is closed on Wednesdays though :(However, the Japanese vendor has a lunch bento box special that goes until 3pm for $ 6.99. Not too shabby! Surrounding the front perimeter of the store are different stores: beauty boutique, furniture store, cookware shop, and a clothing/lingerie store, and a Mozart bakery. Enjoy! I’ll be back soon. Usually, I frequent the Assi location up in Suwanee. The first time I visited this location, I was completely blown away by the Food Court. But, that is a whole other story. I love Assi markets because they are cheap and stock rare items that I have been looking for all over town. The main example being Samgak Kimbap laver, for the Korean version of onigiri. Went to two different Hmart locations in town before finally finding the stuff at Assi, and they even have two brands to choose from. Crazy! This is truly an International Food Market, they even have an Russian /Ukrainian deli counter with traditional items. They are also not as crowded as other market locations further west in Duluth. I find that I get better deals on Fuji Apples, Goguma, Barley Tea, and Ssamjang/Gochujang than Hmart or Megamart here. The food court is truly International, there is a food stall for; Korean-Chinese, Korean, Vietnamese, Malaysian, Russian, Peruvian, Indo-Pak, and Filipino.
