Didn’t know what to expect. It was amazing. The staff is very helpful and nice. Place is really clean. Décor and tables/seating are nice and comfy. I will come back.

I came to Top Cloud Café one random Tuesday after having dinner at Iron Age. I had seen some pictures around the net of wonderfully plated waffles and had my interest peaked when I saw that the café was conveniently located next to Iron Age. Although I was already stuffed with Korean BBQ, I couldn’t just walk past the café without at least taking a look inside. The interior of Top Cloud Café is very chic and modern, decked with glossy white tables and red faux-leather couches. Definitely one of the larger cafes in Duluth. There was only one other table occupied when I visited, but I’m guessing no one really chills at cafes on a Tuesday. I almost didn’t order because, to tell you the truth, I am not the biggest fan of waffles. But after taking a look at the menu and seeing how beautifully the waffles were presented, I just had to order one to see it. I didn’t care about the taste, more like I needed to order for the insta — lame, I know! The cashier was really nice. I told him it was my first time there and he gave me a little rundown of the menu. You can get half waffles or whole waffles, and of course, you can pick the flavor and toppings. There were fruit waffles, ice cream waffles, Nutella waffles, over a dozen types of waffles you can choose from. I decided to go with the fruit waffle because I didn’t want anything too heavy. The waffle came out beautifully! My waffle came with the four quart-sized waffles, cuts of banana, strawberry, raspberry, blackberry, mango, kiwi, blueberry, strawberry ice cream and whipped cream. I thought they gave me a good amount of food for $ 12. The waffles were soft and fluffy, pretty yummy to me. Although, I’m not an expert on waffle tasting. The fruits were nothing special, most were a little sour. But it’ll taste perfectly fine if you mix the fruit with a bite of waffle, whipped cream and ice cream. All in all, I think I got just what I expected out of Top Cloud Café — a pretty picture of waffles. I wasn’t blown away by the waffles. Yummy, but not life changing. Still a great place to chill at if you’re waiting for a table at Irom Age!

I didn’t get my cappuccino with a cute«foam bear» on top like the one in this place’s profile picture(boo), still, the coffee was great! Now, about the videos of boy bands/male pop singers(try to picture that in your head) they have on rotation in their flatscreen TVs … let’s say is… a different story… Amusing might be an understatement!!.

Such a cute little hang out spot. I thought the desserts were good but not great! They’re just pretty.

I saw that this place has green tea latte so I had to check this place out! As I walked in, I notice a bleach scent which was a big turn off for me since it was all I can smell. I went on a Tuesday night and it was completely dead with maybe two other people inside. I ordered the banana waffle with ice cream and added a scoop of green tea ice cream with a green tea latte and my boyfriend ordered a macchiato. The dessert was good but the ratio to waffle and ice cream was off, too much ice cream, not enough waffles. Even if I didn’t order an extra scoop, it would’ve been too much ice cream. The flavor of the ice cream was good but was too much of an ice crunch for me instead of it being creamy. For the coffee, my latte was warm. I have a sensitive tongue to where I normally ask for kids temperature but for this, it was a little more towards room temperature for me and I didn’t even ask for it. I did enjoy the green tea taste. My boyfriend macchiato, which was really strong; too much of the expresso taste in it. Now let’s talk about the décor! It was too dark for me, especially for a dessert/coffee place. Something about this place made me think of it as a upscale hookah lounge… But then it hit me! It looks like a place where Harley Quin and the Joker will come and hide from the Batman. Top Cloud has all the same color scheme as the two villains and not only that, there’s even large dices laying in random places! Overall, the dessert was good but not something I will do weekly. I will probably come back once the weather gets warmer and Im in need for a green tea fix.

My first time here. tried to use google maps and Unilocal but it didnt show the correct location. So we just looked around the plaza and finally got it. Nice café and surpringly not busy at all!(only had 3 customers sitting when we were there) We ordered: green tea latte-very sweet and will as to reduce the sugar for next visit, nice latte art :) affogatto-reasonable price and great portion serving. i just wish they separate the ice cream and espresso because I like to mix it by myself :) banana n caramel waffle-i think the batter is old and smells a little bit, it’s still edible but i had wayyy better waffle around the area. I will definitely come back to try other drinks n latte art but less likely the waffle. the staffs are nice and helpful :)

Top cloud has definitely been on my bookmarks for some time now, I finally got around to trying it. I love that they are open late because I’m a night hawk and am always craving something sweet! I arrived at about 9 pm. The interior is very modern and it is a vast location. It was very empty on a Thursday night. We decided to order the waffle with the 4 different ice creams because the cashier recommended it to us. We Waited about 8 minutes until we received our dessert. As I looked around I did notice the tables could use some wiping down because they seemed dirty/sticky, but other than that it was clean. The cashier brought out our waffle and it was good, but not amazing. My main complaint was the strawberry ice cream tastes extremely artificial and if you’re paying 9 $ for a waffle with ice cream, the ice cream should be of quality, don’t you agree? The waffle itself was good and two out of four ice creams were good. Final thoughts: I don’t think I’ll come back for the waffles because for the price it didn’t wow me. The service was okay and the dessert was just okay. I might be trying out other items if I do come back. Maybe next time top cloud!

I really like this café. I like the modern interior and the booths that can accommodate large groups. The lattes are so good. I’ve have tried the Thai tea latte, green tea latte, caramel machiatto, and banana waffle. They were all delicious, but the carmel macchiato tasted more like a regular latte I didn’t taste the caramel. I recommend the Thai tea latte. The staff is also very welcoming and friendly.

We went here after dinner for dessert; it was around 10pm, when we entered, this place was empty… we ordered our potbingsu and it came out quickly. The layout is open and clean, the design is modern… but the decoration on the walls could have been thought through before the implementation… if you look at it long enough, then you’ll know what I’m saying. I wasn’t moved by the potbingsu… could have used more condensed milk… but definitely a place to hangout with friends… will have to try other offerings next time I’m in town.

YUMMY! Everything’s so checkered it makes me feel like I’m in a video game. They have constant K-pop music videos playing so it’s very fun and energetic. And yes, their waffles are delicious!

Food $ 3.69 for green tea latte $ 3.69 for chai tea latte $ 8.49 green tea bingsu I like my chat tea to be a little more stronger and spicer. The green tea latte was more sweet and stronger than the chai tea latte. I liked the green tea latte more. The bingsu is a healthy portion enough to feed 4 people. The bingsu is is icy and not as creamy as Snowflake Tea House. Décor Modern. Clean. Korean. The place reminds me of of Ikea showroom. Service Friendly staff the brings you your drinks to you instead of yelling out your order. Would I come here again? Meh.

When you walk into Café Top Cloud, you’re immediately stepping into more of a lounge-y interior — darker designs, low couches, tables and such. It’s located in the plaza right next to Iron Age and Café Mango Six, so I’m sure there is friendly competition for desserts between the two. In terms of patbingsu, I think Café Top Cloud serves some of the better shaved ice desserts than its competing cafes in the area. While a lot of places have tried to elevate and modernize patbingsu with different ingredients and flavors, I appreciate that Café Top Cloud sticks to the more traditional way of building a tasty dessert with the shaved ice, flavored ice cream, syrups, fruit, and mochi. Drinks and waffle desserts seem relatively standard. The con, which largely overshadows the pros, is the price. Overpriced drinks and desserts that don’t equate — I believe — to what you consume. It is worth a try and I do enjoy the atmosphere it provides when I’m with friends, stopping to grab a sweet treat to share after dinner.

I’m a total dessert/coffee fanatic so I was estactic to find a place that sells both. Upon reading other reviews, I have to say that I agree with the good and bad reviews. We happened to stumble over to this little café while waiting for our table at iron age awhile ago. Now this place has become one of the very few places that I HAVE to go to every time I take a trip to Atlanta. I personally like the waffles here even if they don’t resemble the original Belgian waffles. Yes, they’re not dense or doughy like the typical Belgian waffles nor do they have an exterior sugar crust like the typical Belgian waffles but it doesn’t necessarily mean that they’re bad waffles. The waffles here are slightly crispy on the outside, but light and soft on the inside with a hint of sweetness that doesn’t overpower the fresh fruit toppings and ice cream on top. I’ve always gotten it with green tea ice cream. Its not the best green tea ice cream I’ve ever had but it does compliment the waffle quite well. The price might seem expensive for one waffle but once you factor in the fresh fruits and ice cream, it’s totally worth it. Besides, their waffles are not made for one person only, you get quite a decent amount. As for the coffee, I’ve gotten the mocha latte once and probably never again. Definitely not good quality coffee by any mean. Probably why I only go here for their waffles.

We went here since it was really the only late night spot open till 1am. We were very reluctant at first, but the guy at the counter was super helpful. He made a few suggestion on what to try and what was the most popular since this being our first time. We ended up going with the Mango bingsoo and it was legit. I swear we must’ve eaten it with a couple of minutes. I honestly can’t wait to go back and try something else. Yo guy at the front counter thanks for the heads up.

Top cloud has a nice atmosphere and is a great place to lounge at with friends or a date. They have tvs playing kpop while you enjoy the dessert and coffee. The waffles and ice cream pair well together and they have a decent amount of options.

I’m afraid this is another instance in which my personal preferences for comfort and quality overshadow the business as a whole, but I was unimpressed with Café Top Cloud. We stopped in for coffee and dessert after a late lunch and it was uncomfortably quiet. Admittedly, there were only a few other people inside on a Saturday afternoon, but as soon as we stepped in, I felt like we had to whisper just to not overpower the place. The interior décor was modern and attractive but too stark and too white– never a place to get comfy with a book and a cappuccino. The menu appeared much more promising than what they brought to the table. While the cappuccino was beautifully made, the«strawberry latte» that my friend ordered was pretty much just milk with Nesquick strawberry syrup. The«Waffle Party Platter»(a pretty decent Belgian waffle with fruit, whipped cream and a scoop of strawberry ice cream) was pretty good, but something you could get at any IHOP. Maybe if I lived in the area, but it’s just not worth driving all the way to Duluth for.

What an adorable café! A group of us went over to Iron Age for dinner and stopped by this café afterwards. Well, we had to take a walk around the parking lot first to walk off all the meat we just ate but definitely wanted to check out this café since it was in the same shopping center. When you walk in, the first thing you notice is the modern décor. You can definitely tell it’s a Korean owned/designed café but it works. The place is fairly new so it still had the«newness» factor to it. I tried their all natural fruit drink in kiwi. Basically it was crushed kiwis, it’s juice over ice. It was exactly what I expected so I was pleased. They have a variety of coffee and smoothie drinks here and they of course have bubble teas as well. Looks like their specialty are a variety of «waffle» desserts that are topped with fruit, chocolate, nutella and/or whipped cream. The menu is right at the register with photos so you’re able to select whichever dessert looks tasty at the time. I’m sure I’ll return to this café when in the area or back at Iron Age for dinner. If you’re in the Duluth area, near Venture Drive, besure to stop by!
