Cake Occasions

The cake the gave us was literally falling over at our wedding. My brand new wife was in tears. When I talked with the owner/​baker about the issue after the fact she was very condescending and made comments like «it’s a cake, if you didn’t want it to sag over you shouldn’t have had ordered a cheese cake.» The thing was three tiers tall. Don’t sell us something you can’t make! It was mainly a setup issue, where they forget the support structure… But no responsibility was taken by the owner. In the end we received about 35% back from a very confrontational childlike individual. If you have any questions ask GreySalon Ballroom in Duluth. They are quite familiar with this company and their lack of follow through.

Cake Occasions has the best cupcakes. Period. The frosting is light, creamy and perfect, and the chocolate ganache is to die for. Also, the girls there are very nice. You can reserve your cupcake orders using their FB page, and they’ll be all boxed up and ready for you when you get there, which is awesome.
Update: After many weeks of taste testing, I’ve chosen my top three! The salted caramel mocha, the maple bacon, and the red velvet are my tops!
I still haven’t been to their new location on Central Entrance yet, but I’m sure the cupcakes are still just as good :)
