I tried the lunch buffet after reading all the great reviews. I was a bit underwhelmed by the food. The food was fresh and the chicken 65 was very good. The restaurant interior is lovely and refreshing. At first glance, the buffet was noticeably missing raita, fruit, and veg condiments. The only dessert offered was Gulab Jamun. I was suprised that they served dal with no raita/yogurt. Many of the dishes that I tried lacked the complexity of flavor and spice that I seek and expect with Indian food. I found myself adding salt to try and bring out the flavor. I noticed that most of the patrons when I dined there were non-Indian. The food wasn’t bad, but it was not what I expected based on all the rave reviews. I have also been completely spoiled by Madras Chettinaad and some other spots in town. I also cook Indian from scratch on a regular basis as my husband is from India.

Currylicious is a solid place for Indian curry in the Gwinnett area. Go to curry to get is the Chicken Tikka Masala. I would associate quality and tasty with this restaurant, especially to their daily lunch buffett. I would rather go here than go to Naan n’ Curry. Naan n’ Curry is good for the price but the quality is not as good. But Currylicious’ prices are not outrageous.

My favorite lunch buffet. Also great a la carte menu. Everything I have ordered has been great and very authentic. The owners are the nicest people. Love going here at least once a week if possible.

My favourite lunch spot to go to with my friends and coworkers. The buffet is really good. I will recommend this place for Indian food. Many vegetarian options in the buffet along with non vegetarian dishes.

Easily one of the best Indian restaurants in Atlanta. The tandoori half-chicken, naan, daal, and paneer tikka masala are all as good as this stuff gets. Clearly the food is made with a lot of love.

Look at my track record and you will see that I RARELY give out 5 stars. Also, I’m Indian. Proceed… Parking: Plentiful, open parking lot. Easy. Ambiance: Surprisingly modern, updated décor which is a rarity among Indian restaurants. Even their bathrooms were very clean and modern, which is very rare among Indian restaurants. Food: Came here for their lunch buffet and I was completely blown away with the quality of their dishes. Everything they had in their buffet tasted like my mom and grandma’s homecooked food!!! It had authentic flavor and spices, unlike other places that tend to water down their flavors to acquire more American clients. Their samosas, amazing. Their butter chicken… to die for. Their garlic nan… so good! The owners are an older husband and wife team, probably in their 60’s and they were super sweet to come check on us and recommend dishes. We also got mango lassis which was a big hit. Overall: Very affordable, AMAZING, authentic flavor indian buffet. By far the BEST indian buffet in Georgia, hands-down. I will go out of my way to eat here and I live in Buckhead! I highly recommend this place for their buffet. You will not be disappointed. Trust me, I’m Indian lol.

«Let’s skip out on the wiki facts and focus on the food. I’m trying to find out what to order on the Unilocal app before the server gets back.» [Time & Date of visit]: Weekday evening [Party Size]: 10+ [Location/Ambiance]: Though the parking lot was filled, I believe most of the patrons were seated on the right of the restaurant. While a MeetUp group that I decided to attend with were seated on the left. Where, I guess the buffet that is served on other days. Décor is more minimalist, or at least what it felt like in the dining room where our group was seated at. Ambiance is casual. [Service]: The older woman serving us, really doesn’t hold back on her opinions. So fair warning if you get butt hurt easily. Kind of like how your mom likes to embarrass you when company or your friends are over for dinner. Though there were was another food runner, it seems the older woman was primarily taking care of us. After the majority of our group got their food, the owner /manager came out to ask us how was everything. [Food Highlights]: Chicken lollipops — Large chicken drum sticks, cooked just enough for the skin to get that crispy texture while still retaining the glaze. Each piece has the skinnier portion wrapped in aluminum foil to make this an easy hand held appetizer. Our older server heavily requested that we dip or spoon some of the accompaning sauce on it, which had a little kick. Pretty good. Kathi Roll —(w/Chicken) — the best way I can describe this thing… It’s an Indian chimichanga. Sans any cheese sauce. I think my friend who ordered this asked for mild, so it wasn’t too spicy. But it’s very filling and should be shared. It’s ok. Punjabi Samosa — Not the best samosas I’ve ever had but overall pretty good. Two large samosas per order. The chutney that was included didn’t really wow me too much, I preferred to use the one that came with the chicken lollipops. Pretty good. Lamb Boti — I was hoping for a little more, but the lamb was a little over cooked and the tenderness wasn’t very present on certain pieces. Don’t let the description fool you. You don’t taste anything like ketchup for the marinade. A little hesitant to recommend, maybe if you aren’t with a large group so that it’s not rushed. Tikka Masala w/Lamb — I think this staple dish at all Indian restaurants is the basis if their food is good or night. Kind of like Pad Thai noodles at a Thai Restaurant. And don’t worry, their version is good. Worth a try. {Summary}: I think for the area, Curryliscious appeals to all ethnics willing to give Indian food or just this restaurant a try. I think I would have to go again just to see if the food is consistent or just overcooked due to the large size of our group. 3 stars for now until my next visit.

Besides the Chicken Tikka Massala and Butter Chicken everything else was below avg. Went with Family and we ordered 8 different dishes and only liked those 2 above. Probably won’t be returning.

Absolutely delicious and authentic. I have eaten at some of the best Indian restaurants in New York– Tamarind, Junoon, etc. Who knew I would find comparable fare here in the middle of Georgia at half the price? Eat here. Authentic Bombay. Incredible!

I cannot speak to the quality of their food, since we were there for 15 mins without getting anyone to come by for our order. We left and went to naan and curry where the service was much better.

The tadka chicken 65 is great tasting. The price is over the top for no special reasons. Service is not consistent as well. The only reason I will go back there is to grab the chicken 65. Carpe diem with your taste buds.

I was here today, thumps up for the foods! I had samosa for appetizer(they have the best samosa!!!), chicken tandori with basmati rice, pepper chicken with nan bread and some Indian milk tea. I would recommend this place as the best Indian food in the city. Staff are really helpful and friendly. Looking forward to eat here again.

Had a fantastic dinner here this past Friday night! Currylicious specialized in Bombay-style Indian street food and they’re hitting on cylinders! I started with a mango lassi, which was beautiful and yummy – sort of like a mango yogurt smoothie topped with saffron. This is a very sweet drink, and may not be for everyone(but could be a solid dessert drink!) Fateema recommended we try the Cauliflower 65 because I’m GF and we were not disappointed. It had heat to it but wasn’t overpoweringly spicy. Even if you think you don’t like cauliflower, I promise you will like this dish. So good. DH and I also shared butter chicken and chicken tikka masala… yes, two similar dishes, but we both had our hearts set going in, so red chicken X2 it was… Both dishes were fabulous! This is no fast food Indian joint(like NaanStop). You can tell that these flavors are being painstakingly developed in the slow, traditional process. The chicken was tender, the sauces were perfect and we left with plenty of leftovers for lunch the next day. The restaurant is clean and well taken care of. The service was helpful and warm. It was semi-busy on Friday night, but it also looked like they were doing a bang-up takeout business. We can’t wait to go back and try the lunch buffet. FYI re the buffet from the owners: it’s best to get there early as the trays are not refilled and they only make enough for 1 tray of each rotating dish.

In Chattanooga, we’ve considered ourselves fortunate that we have two very good authentic Indian restaurants(and we have a friend who works in the travel industry who is well versed in Indian cuisine in India who confirms this). So when we travel, we’re always on the lookout for good Indian and are very hard judges. Currylicious EASILY outdistanced all of our previous experiences in every single way. So much so that we went back the next day to order takeout dishes we could take home to enjoy the rest of the week! When we first arrived, we were there to meet family, so to kill some time, we ordered Nan Chaap. While we were waiting, I noticed that there was a placard on the wall indicating that the head chef had penned a book of recipes for Chinese cuisine. I pointed it out to my wife and we figured that if the meal was good, we’d be picking up a copy. When the Nan Chaap came out, it was brought by Fatima, the head chef, and we started talking about the food and made other small talk. Fatima’s enthusiasm for her offerings quickly became evident and our minds were blown by the Nan Chaap – which we’d never had before! It was at that point that we decided there was no way we were going home without purchasing a copy of Fatima’s Chinese cookbook. Then we ordered the Peshiwari Nan – and about that time, the rest of our party arrived and we all ordered and shared the Butter Chicken, Shrimp Biryani(not on the printed menu), Cheese Naan, and Chai. Everything was delicious! And the star of the meal was the Butter Chicken. I would also like to point out that they make their own mint sauce. I was never previously a fan of the stuff, but Fatima’s mint sauce was delicate and we lavishly consumed it and asked for more! Currylicious is a restaurant we’ll be inventing reasons for trips to Atlanta to patronize.

I was here for a weekday lunch buffet and was pleased with their selection of items. Naan was fresh and cooked right which melted in the mouth. All the curry based dishes served were made differently unlike some restaurants who use same curry base and add different meats to it. Veg dishes were all flavorful and authentic. would have given a 5 star if the chicken curry and biryani served were fresh(these two dishes tasted stale).

Great little Indian restaurant OTP on Satellite Blvd and Duluth Highway. There’s a lunch buffet with lots of options. The items change every day. Butter chicken here is very good and so is the naan. The service is great. I would like to come back for the dinner menu.

Currylicious isn’t just a catchy name you know! This place delivers when it comes to some authentic Indian homestyle cuisine. The restaurant is really classy when it comes to decoration with dark wood tones and lighting that gives the entire place a nice ambiance and welcoming atmosphere(some pics included below). They have ample seating for a decent amount people, they also have a banquet hall that can be used for any special events like parties or just a private get together. Now don’t let the name of the restaurant fool you, curry isn’t the only thing they serve here. The menu is full with most of the traditional Indian dishes you would find at most Indian restaurants and homes. They also have some dishes that are from other parts of Asia as well. Check out the link to the menu below for more details. I personally like the lunch buffet for all the options it offers to customers. Of course they have both vegetarian and non vegetarian dishes, so all sorts of eaters are welcome. Definitely give some of the tandoor dishes a try, which are cooked from a clay oven. The staff here is outstanding, they are very polite and attentive to your needs. They will help you understand each of the dishes if you are unsure on what they are. Just ask for a recommendation and they’ll give you one that they think would best fit your tastes. Currylicious, a great place for Indian food, with a welcoming atmosphere accompanied by excellent customer service and a well trained staff. Give it a shot! Lunch or dinner, you can’t go wrong! My Recommendations: –Lunch Buffet($ 10)(11AM-3PM Weekdays)(12PM-4PM Weekend) –Mango Lassi Menu:

This review is based on lunch buffet I had today. It was a bad decision to have lunch buffet in 2. They didn’t refill anything at that point. I came in around 2PM, most plates are almost gone. I had to take a lot of sauce and oil to get the real content, meat or veggie. Chicken Biriyani and butter naan were good. Other than that, I couldn’t remember anything. I felt I was kind of eating leftovers. Décor: Inside, it looked clean and newly opened. Black tables and chairs, and a TV in the front playing fishing program. Service: they filled my water and asked about my experience. The service was good. I heard about Currylicious from my colleague, who said they were clean and nice. So imagine how disappointed I am. Had I had another visit, I would try their dishes and change the rating. They may deserve more. The lunch buffet price is $ 9.99 instead of $ 7.99.

Stopped here for dinner on Friday night during the(NSCA) Southeastern Conference that was hosted at the Gwinnett Center. As I walked into the restaurant I really liked the décor. The inside is very modern in style, with the colour theme being white and orange, it is a great look. I was greeted as soon as I sat down and was brought water. To drink I had the Mango Lassi, which is extremely good and was topped with Spanish saffron to give it a beautiful presentation as well as some great flavour. My bread of choice was the Garlic Naan and my entrée was the Lamb Saag. The basmati rice that comes with the Saag is excellent, I could taste the saffron in it was well. The Saag was cooked perfectly, the lamb was very tender and the meat was all very lean. I am a huge fan of Lamb Saag, but it is so difficult to find, as usually it can only be found by Indian restaurants that cook the northern Indian cuisine. I was very pleased with the service here, the staff is extremely friendly and are open to questions. I’d definitely highly recommend Currylicious to anyone who loves athletic Indian food and that appreciates fantastic service. From the moment I talked to the staff here, I could tell they were really passionate about offering good food and providing good service. I’ll be back. Just as a side note: The inside of this is quite large, they can host big parties as well and they take Discover and Amex. [Review #281](Forty First Review of 2015)
