Loved it. My friend I went with said it was just an okay place. I thought it was the best mexican i had in a while. We had cheese dip that was perfect, not too runny, warm, and good flavor, the salsa was so good! Chips cooked well and in house. I ordered the chicken quesadilla with the chili rellano and rice. It was a lunch combo. It was a lot for a lunch. The quesadilla and rice were so good, i mean couldn’t stop eating but knew i should, good. Like chasing the last piece of rice around my plate and seriously thinking about just licking it, good. My GF and the kiddo were looking at me like… omg is she really going to eat all that. Yes, yes I am and yes I did, mostly. I didn’t eat much of the rellano, the meat was stuffed in the pepper and the cheese was on top. I like it more when its all inside the pepper. It was fine though, cause i had plenty with the other food. The service was fast but I wouldn’t say friendly. They got my food to the table quickly, and prepared as requested… so i didn’t care that they didn’t do it with a smile. It was almost funny.

3 stars for a-okay food. 5+ stars for EXCELLENT service. Like seriously, the *best* service I have ever experienced in my life. Food portions are really huge. Quesadilla appetizer — I’ll pass on that next time, they weren’t really good. I got the beef version and it tasted really BLEH to me… overly salty and the beef was mushy in the sauce. Fajita for two — SOOO much food. Seriously, sooooooo much. They really do pile on that steak and sauteed peppers and onions. Plates were piping hot, something I also liked. Texas margarita was hella strong… score! Definitely worth a try, it’s your typical tex-mex restaurant. Very cheap pricing. Ask for KAREN — she made the experience wonderful!

We were looking for a quick bite to eat close by to the Marriott on Pleasant Hill Rd. I spied El Toro and decided to give it a shot. Extensive Tex-Mex menu with plenty of the usual: guac, queso fundito, quesadillas, salsas, tacos, burritos, enchiladas, etc… Lighter sized portions(3 tacos) for under $ 10 as well as larger entrees for over $ 12. Timely service, hearty portion sizes, good food — just what we were looking for this afternoon.

We discovered this place while on the way to one of our regular restaurants that closed. We decided to stop in since it was close. The host greeted us when we entered and was very polite. The service alone deserves high praise. The margarita was reasonably strong and they do make them frozen here. Too many Mexican places only do on the rocks which was a nice surprise to find them frozen here. The food selection is your typical Tex-Mex. It was very tasty and the portion sizes were huge for the price we paid. If you’re looking for a neighborhood Mexican restaurant then this is pretty good and sure beats driving to Buford Hwy or elsewhere.
