Stopped by for lunch and enjoyed our sandwiches. Each sandwich runs about $ 6.85 and you can make it a combo for another $ 2 or so. Combo includes a drink and chips or a cookie. They also had a small selection of pastries and cake. We had the Parisian sandwich which is a hot beef sandwich and looks like it is the most popular from Unilocal. We also had the provolone which is a hot chicken sandwich with pesto and cheese. It might be better with some tomatoes. I tried this last and perhaps I was just less hungry at this point but it was just not as tasty as the other sandwiches. The gentleman at the counter recommended the Tuscany which is another hot ham sandwich with cheese and tomatoes. Simple but good. The bread was soft and warm. They toast the sandwiches so the bread gets a bit hard, tough for for kiddos. The Parisian was my favorite followed by the Tuscany. We also tried the fruit tart($ 3.15). The custard filling was pretty sweet but not bad overall. Small shop with a handful of long tables and chairs inside. The guy running the shop speaks French so it makes it feel more authentic. Nice stop for sandwiches.

This place is amazing! For the first time ever I’ve found good bread in the States; it’s delicious! And their desserts are perfect. Innovative and not too sweet. This place is a must-go.

The owner is very friendly and caring. The seating is pretty small but it gives you a very intimate vibe when you’re here. Food is cooked pretty quick. You have many options to choose as well when it comes to beverages or combo options. Also they only serve crepes on Saturdays! I have yet to try. My favorite of all time is the Parisian sand which. If I could choose it as my last meal on earth. I wouldn’t hesitate! Trust me when I tell you that you will not be disappointed. The Brittany was okay but not our favorite. Their soups were incredible and very fresh. The almond buttes croissant is always nice and fluffy and feels like heaven in your mouth. Their eclairs are splendid and so is their oatmeal cookie.

Had the Parisian sandwich which was something like roast beef, blue cheese, tomatoes, and balsamic mayo pressed in a panini bread. The sandwich itself was good along with the dark chocolate cookie. The biggest problem with this place is ambience and presentation. I think the potential is there, but not enough for me to warrant going there kicking back and enjoying a latte. Which is unfortunate since that’s the kind of image I expect from a French style bakery/café.

I would’ve never even noticed this place if it weren’t for my coworker. He had a hankering for good breakfast food one morning and five minutes later, we arrive at this small café located off Satellite. The owner is French and decided to grace Gwinnett with authentic French bakery delights. I heard he thought about moving to John’s Creek but I’m glad he didn’t. The food is actually really affordable for the size and quality. I mean, I ordered a spinach quiche, almond croissant and cheese Danish and I swear they were the size of my dogs head. And my dog is a medium-sized dog. Okay, if you don’t get it still, they’re probably the size of an average-sized saucer. Look at the pictures to get a better understanding. Those 3 pastries cost me $ 10. Not bad at all. This was enough for a week’s worth of breakfast TBH. But because I’m hungry, I ate the entire Danish in one sitting. Same with the quiche. Not the same sitting though. Anywho, he also offers sandwiches for lunch. And crepes on Saturday’s only. Ignore those chain French places and get with the real deal.

This is hard! It’s the first time I don’t know how i’m going to score a restaurant. I visited Georgia French Bakery and Café while out and about and wanting something different. After seeing all the 5 star reviews, I had to check them out! The owner was super friendly, and went over all of the selections with me in great detail, which I really appreciated, and because everything looked so good, I couldn’t settle on just one thing, so I got the following: The Parisian Panini(hot and toasted) one chocolate chip cookie Almond Croissant Cheese Turnover The desserts and pastries, were absolutely phenomenal. The chocolate chip cookie($ 1.19) tasted homemade, and I really wished I ordered more! Nice, gooey and buttery goodness at its best there. The cream cheese turnover($ 2.95), believe it or not, was even BETTER than the amazing chocolate chip cookie, having multiple layers and filled with a really great cream cheese that was also super buttery, and bursting with flavors. The Almond Croissant,($ 2.95) as others have said, is one of the best Almond Croissants i’ve ever tried. It’s the kinda flavor where the moment you bite into it, you smile. All of their pastries are made fresh daily, no preservatives to speak of, and the quality of these snacks is worth every bit of 5 stars. I also tried their #9 Parisian Panini($ 6.85), which comes with Beef, balsamic mayo, red onions, blue cheese and tomato, on toasted sandwich bread. The sandwich bread was super crispy, and hot enough where a 5 to 10 minute ride home still gave you a nice warm sandwich to eat if you were ordering it to go. While the sandwich was very tasty, I have to be honest that it didn’t seem to match the«Wow”-ability of the pastries. I barely tasted the blue cheese(and I love blue cheese), but the beef was really juicy and tender. Kinda tucked away in a little restaurant strip off of Satellite Blvd(right next to Bahn Mi Café), it’s a small cozy restaurant that doesn’t seat a ton of people, and doesn’t stay open very late(typically they close around 4pm). Crepes, if you want them, and you do, are ONLY served on Saturdays, so plan a Saturday trip! I 100% want to give Georgia French Bakery & Café 5 stars, and i’m so close! Pastries are amazing and again, worth every 5 star review, I just think the sandwich I had was great, but not at the pastry level of deliciousness… but maybe that’ll change on my next visit. Do yourself a favor and stop in! Great, great place for a bite to eat.

Love, love, love this place. Whenever I’m in the area, especially on a Saturday, I stop by to grab a quick lunch and maybe dessert. They’re open from 9 — 3am on Saturdays. In addition to the many selections of hot and cold sandwiches that he makes, he also makes pastries and cakes. The owner makes delicious espressos too. My favorite sandwich here, hands down, is the Parisian. The Parisian is a hot sandwich with ingredients: roast beef, balsamic mayo, red onions, blue cheese, and tomato. Oh so good. I’ve also tried a few of his pastries. Delicious. My favorites so far is the chocolate éclair and cornet a la crème. Establishment is simple, with a strip of parking lots in the front. For easy access back onto Pleasant Hill, go towards Merchant St, make a left(you’ll be facing a Quiktrip) to get back onto Satellite Blvd.

It’s in this small plaza surrounded by all Asian shops, quite standing out. The French boss is really friendly, and the selection of bakeries is simple and neat, very authentic French style. You can tell this place is a true low profile/homey style focused on the quality of food place, the good taste keeps customers coming back. Yes, once I found here, I would never go to Sweet Hut or White Windmill anymore. I bought Napoleon(AKA Mille-fuille), regular croissant & almond croissant in total $ 8.5! I can’t wait to try the Napoleon once got them on hand… really yuummmm! I’ve tried a few different types of this bad boy, but the version here is so far the best… I just can’t stop after one bite… the three layers of puff pastry are so light but crispy/crunchy a hint of savory from it and good balance of the two layers of crème pâtissière(it’s texture is in between tart and tiramisu, I wonder if it’s warm how would it taste like crème brulee). Desert quote is reached after fish dis bad boy, I would come back and update about the croissants in a bit.

I usually eat lunch alone as I am the youngest individual in my office, and as a result I am always looking for a new place to try that will provide delicious food at a great price with ambiance that may be accommodating to the solo traveler. I found this place on Unilocal and it had a sizeable amount of good reviews. I’m always game for a good sub/sandwich spot so I figured why not? It’s discreetly located in a small strip mall in Duluth near the outskirts of Gwinnett Place mall. I’ve been here dozens of times before for other restaurants(Gom Shabu Shabu and Banh Mi Café), but I never noticed this place. I ordered the Roast Beef sandwich with chips and drink(Approx. $ 8.99) and added a Double Chocolate Chunk cookie on top. In hindsight I should’ve probably gotten the the French Baguette but I opted for the simple French white bread. The sandwich itself was surprisingly very tasty despite the simplicity of the ingredients. The roast beef was fresh and tender and there was a thick slab of swiss cheese which I LOVE.(I feel most places skimp on cheese) I believe the game changer was their Balsamic Mayo which I have neither heard of nor tried before and it was delicious. They carry standard chips such as doritos, cheetos and you get an actual drink in the can/bottle which I thought was a good touch(instead of fountain machines). The place itself is actually extremely small and dim(probably the only reason I gave this place 4 instead of 5 stars). I hope they can expand one day or choose a better location/store. You should give this place a try, I will most certainly be going back although not extremely often as I am your typical gluttonous American who needs copious amounts of food and this place’s portions are Medium. 1.8 Thumbs up!

Oh my this place is absolutely wonderful! This is once a week venture for the gang at work and we’ve been coming here forever. Olly and his people are super friendly and know how to make some seriously good food! The sandwiches are outstanding [I get the salami and is one of my favorite sandwiches anywhere] and I swear to the French gods that the pastries and croissants are the best you will ever get! The anxiety to get to Unilocal to post this was inspired by a croissant that just came fresh out of the oven. My mouth wet itself it was that good! Go here! You’ll love it. And ask for the Roger Special.

I was off today and wanted to try something new for lunch. This is one of the places I’ve been meaning to try but it is difficult to come here because they close early at 4. On Saturdays they close at 3 and they are closed on Sundays. It is located on Satellite Blvd. The sign is not very obvious and really easy to overlook. I pass this joint so many times but never knew this café exists because of the sign. It’s a cute, small shop. The menu is very simple and consists primarily of sandwiches and soup. I got the caprese panini with drink and chips(lunch combo). It arrived in about 6 minutes. The panini was made fresh with bread made from scratch. It was very delicious– every ingredient was of great quality. The sandwich was very French and authentic. I enjoyed my lunch and definitely will return on my next day off or on a Saturday :) Thumbs up! If anything I only suggest to change the sign to something more noticeable and enticing like La Madelaine’s sign. It will surely bring in more people if they knew this place exists.

This is one of my favorite pastry shops! Nothing pretentious, just a friendly, easygoing café with great sincere foods. Everything is good, trust me, from sandwiches, paninis to a variety of French desserts and pastries. You will never be disappointed! My favorites are almond croissants. They will also bake you a whole cake on order to celebrate special days, too. I did once with my son’s birthday and the chocolate cake is out of this world — not too sweet, with very chocolate flavor and fulfilling, too. The owner is super friendly as usual. Very friendly and down to earth. Enjoy this little quint bakery on Satellite Blvd and let’s support local business.

I honestly thought I reviewed them years ago and was disappointed that I did not. Regardless, this place is amazing. I love it and I’m so freaking happy that they finally decided to open on Saturday from 9am to 3pm. Which is perfect because I can run by here for a cup of their Columbian coffee and flakey buttery croissants. This tiny place is as authentic as it gets with their freshly made bread and pastries daily. They also have Brioche but you would have to call a day in advance, it’s not baked daily — just FYI. They have a breakfast and lunch menu and I hate that I’m not near them for lunch. They have assorted sandwiches and paninis(hot pressed sandwiches) that comes with sides. I think my favorite will always be the croissants. First it’s ginormous; it’s rich, buttery and flaky so it can be eaten just like it is. I preferred mine with some jam and a cup of coffee and my life is complete.

Awesome little place near Gwinnett Place mall. I was shocked to find that it was run by an Authentic Frenchmen who makes everything in-house. The chocolate croissant that I had was delectable and I will definitely be going back for another one. Also, we ordered a chocolate cheesecake from here for a party and it turned out absolutely perfect. I highly recommend this place. There is enough seating for about 25 people on the inside and they serve coffee too, which makes everyone happy.

Wow. This place is awesome. It’s the real deal. Georgia French Bakery & Café is as authentic as it gets when it comes to delicious, made-from-scratch, breads, pastries, and sandwiches. This little shop opened in 1999 and is located in a brick strip mall on Satellite Blvd not far from Pleasant Hill Rd(same strip mall as Bahn Mi Café). Olivier Horville is the mild-mannered chef/owner and he’s been in business for over 16 years. Obviously, he’s doing something right. The bakery-café is cozy, clean, and simple. Inside, there’s seating for up to 20 at small, wooden, movable tables. There’s not much to speak of in terms of décor — hardwood floors; chalkboards with the breakfast, lunch, and sandwich menus; display cases(both refrigerated and non-refrigerated) with the day’s freshly baked breads, pastries, and desserts; a fridge for drinks; and a self-serve stand for coffee and tea. There’s no outdoor seating and one TV mounted in a corner inside. This is a breakfast and lunch place. The business is open Monday to Friday, 7:30am to 4:00pm, and Saturday, 9:00am to 3:00pm. They are closed on Sunday. The store used to not be open every Saturday, but beginning September 12, 2015, Olivier resumed Saturday service. I believe Saturday is the only day you can get French crepes. Breakfast croissant sandwiches are served from 7:30am to 10:30am and consist of ham, bacon, or turkey with egg and cheese for about $ 5 – 6 each. At lunchtime, there are over a dozen sandwiches to choose from, half of which are hot and toasted paninis. Sandwiches run about $ 7 each(half $ 4 – 5) and are made fresh to order. Olivier once recommended the following hot sandwiches to me: 9. Parisian — roast beef, balsamic mayo, red onions, blue cheese, tomato 10. Provence — chicken, pesto, provolone, Swiss, tomato 11. Brittany — turkey, Swiss, mozzarella, mayo, Dijon mustard, tomato The Parisian is phenomenal! It’s one of the best sandwiches I’ve had anywhere, not just in metro Atlanta. The sandwich may not look like much(it sort of looks like a compact sub), but it packs quite a punch. Each bite is perfection, from taste to consistency. A baguette is used for the bun. It’s smaller and softer than a typical baguette you’d find in the States. It’s delightfully crispy on the outside and it won’t tear up the roof of your mouth like some harder baguettes can. It’s the consummate amalgam of ingredients and you’ll want to savor every bite(I know I do). Even people who don’t like blue cheese still love this sandwich. The Provence is a great sandwich as well. The chicken is warm and tender and the pesto sauce and cheeses make it a savory sandwich indeed. Generally, I’ve found the sandwiches here to be dense, filling, and scrumptious. Breads are made in-house daily and include country French, whole wheat, seven grain, baguette, and brioche. Rolls/loaves can be purchased for about $ 3 – 5 each. Lunch combos are available for less than $ 10 each. They include combinations of a sandwich(or half sandwich), friand(French cake), quiche, salad, soup, chips, and a cookie. The pastries are terrific. The bakery has multiple types of croissants, turnovers, scones, cookies, sweet breads, and Danishes. Other sweet offerings include chocolate eclairs, Napoleons(mille-feuille), apple Normandies, fruit tarts, cornets a la crème, bread pudding, and cakes(e.g. chocolate, carrot, etc.). Most of these items are priced at just about $ 2 – 3 each. All breads and pastries are made without any kinds of preservatives. I haven’t had a single bad thing. Pastries and sweets I’ve tried and recommend include: Butter Croissant Chocolate Éclair Apple Turnover Blueberry Danish Raisin Pastry Danish Double Chocolate Chunk Cookie French Crepes I find the Butter Croissant here to be the quintessential croissant with its soft, flaky, and buttery layers. The Chocolate Éclair is outstanding with a cool, chocolaty icing and an airy, creamy, custardy filling. The Apple Turnover is solid, featuring a crisp, firm, flaky, dough exterior with warm and appetizingly tart apple slices inside. The Blueberry Danish is amazing! The frosted swirl has a velvety soft center that almost melts in your mouth. This is probably my favorite of the pastries I’ve tried so far. The Raisin Pastry Danish is fantastic as well. Also a glazed swirl, it’s made with golden raisins only. The Double Chocolate Chunk Cookie is superb. It is soft, chewy, and absolutely heavenly. The only bad thing about these cookies is having to control yourself from eating too much of them. The French Crepes are simple and wonderful. Two plain folded crepes come per order, topped with powdered sugar, and your choice of sauce(e.g. Nutella). Like the sandwiches, the crepes are made to order. Overall, the quality of ingredients and execution at Georgia French Bakery & Café is top notch. The service is excellent as well. Made-to-order foods come out quick. Excellent travail et la nourriture délicieuse, monsieur Olivier!

Recently, I brought my whole family(not including Charlie H because he was in school) and we came here one morning to have breakfast. I ordered the Smoked Turkey Sandwich(cold sandwich) and it had lettuce, tomatoes and hot mustard sauce which tasted delicious! I think everything they make is delicious! Smoked Turkey Sandwich(cold sandwich) I forgot the price of this but I assure you it’s under $ 10. I think it was around $ 7. I also had a cup of ice water which the owner had brought me. While I was drinking the water, I found a black clumpy thing in my water. so I dumped it out. this was after I left the café. Next time, I’ll be looking inside my cup rather than just drink it. I still adore this place! One of my favorite bakeries!

«Cool. I can practice my French. Croissant. Crème brulée. Baguette.» — Jackie Chan Adventures: Season 5, Episode 10 Olivier you had me at bonjour. What an amazing find! Thanks to Vi for a wonderful UYE that lead me to a world of divine eats — chocolate croissant, strawberry crêpes, panini, éclair… all truly amazing and definitely authentically French. I’m full just thinking about it. We descended upon the shop on a Saturday mid-morning — 9 of us — with intentions of having lunch, but we ended up having breakfast and lunch and sharing food up and down our long table of friends(this is the way to do it — bring friends and share!). I started the line and could not decide what I wanted. I began by ordering a croissant(chocolate) and probably should have had him heat it up for me, but it really did not need it. I then ordered a panini — Olivier directed me to his 3 favorites and after hearing my friends in line behind me state what they would be ordering, I decided to go for the Brittany. With that, I got a drink and cookie(chocolate chip). I also ordered crêpes — how could I not — with strawberry jam(I’m allergic to Nutella). I sat down and waited for my friends and my food. I was provided with my cookie and croissant immediately and a cup of ice for my drink(I selected iced tea — freshly brewed). I waited for my friends to be seated and everyone to have some food item in front of them before digging in. The croissant was perfection — perfectly flaky, rich and buttery and so packed with chocolate I was sure it was all over my face(I was assured not). I think I devoured it in less than 5 minutes, but who’s counting? Before long, Olivier brought out the crêpes — perfectly rolled with a light dusting of powdered sugar and two tiny ramekins of strawberry jam. Trevor W. also got crêpes(with Nutella) and passed his around. To avoid any cross-contamination I was forced to eat mine all by myself… oh darn. Light, ever-so-sweet, slightly crisp on the edges and the perfect thickness. As if I had made them in my French cooking class lo those many years ago. I will always order these as it was immediate gratification. Finally, the panini. While panini’s are typically Italian in origin and widely adapted to American sandwich cuisine, Olivier has made these a true French sandwich by using his homemade daily baguettes and using French flavor combinations. You’d never know that this was not a French sandwich by design. My sandwich(the Brittany) was turkey, swiss, mozzarella, Dijon mustard, mayonnaise and tomato. Perfectly melty on that baguette with the right amount of extra crunch from being grilled — amazing! It might just be the best sandwich I have ever had. I know it is the best panini I’ve ever eaten. I will go back, and soon, to try another of the 3 he pointed to(Also the Parisian and the Provence). Olivier, I am a huge fan of yours and may eat my way through your entire menu very soon. I may drive all the way to Duluth just to buy a baguette or two from you weekly. I just cannot get enough!

Summary: Great breakfast and desserts, open early, soon will be getting more coffee drinks. I kept seeing this place and never got a chance to check it out. Opportunity arose when a friend wanted to meet super early. I know this place opens early and closes early so we wanted to try it. When you first walk in, it looks small, very mom and pop. I love that about this place. The owner sounds like he has a French accent, so it very well might be authentic. All the pastries we tried were amazing. They will be getting iced coffees and other caffeinated drinks soon too so I see even more potential coming up for this place. We got the turkey, egg, and cheese croissant, a chicken turnover-type thing which I could not pronounce(starts with an F), a fruit tart, and a blueberry bar. Everything was amazing! The croissant was crisp, but flakey and cheesy. The chicken turnover had a great ratio of chicken to turnover. The fruit tart had fruits that tasted sweet with a crust that was crispy, which provided great contrast. the blueberry bar was heavy, but luckily I shared half with my friend. The owner was really friendly and easy to talk to and ask questions. My friend and I were easily able to talk and hang out for a long time without worrying about giving up our seats or judgement, which was nice. I’m looking forward to coming back again and trying other desserts and maybe also a panini.

Love their panini and pastries. Why go to White Windmill or Tree Story, paying 1.5 of the money to get bakeries when you can go here. This place is my favorite in Duluth. It offers good panini for lunch, and great bakeries for snacks and desserts. They make panini bread daily, from scratch, which most chain sub shops cannot do. I haven’t got anything not satisfying yet. I like their fruit tart and éclair a lot. Try them if they are still available, because they go out fast. There’s a lunch combo for $ 7.99, you get panini, chips and a drink. The owner is very nice and friendly. And he’s from France, of course.

This place has been here for 15 years and is a cozy spot to enjoy a sandwich or pastry. The owner Oliver is a pleasure to talk with and believes strongly in the quality of his product. Baking the bread and pastries fresh each day, the taste of almost everything I have there is 5 stars. I personally enjoy the ham and Swiss on country French bread with Dijon mustard. I also like this on the baguette which is just as tasty. Then Croissants are to die for as well.
