This is a small quaint facility. The book selection is pretty good. On certain days they have activities for kids so it isn’t the«quiet» place at that time. I’ve noticed that people tend to be on their cell phones a lot and kids run around a little to much for me. But I can always find solace in the quiet room.

Since my first review I have visited several times and have had only pleasant experiences with the librarians. On weekends there is a variety of patrons from parents with kids to college age to middle age. The staff at the desk are always ready to offer help or a smile; overall a great library. Although this is a small library, the request feature online allows me to ask for any book they have at another library within the network. 95% of the books I take out are through this feature. Most recently I stopped by after getting a smoothie. I was racking my brain on where I could go to study and enjoy my drink(since a coffee shop would not want a rival beverage in their establishment), when it occurred to me the library might allow drinks. I called to make sure and was told«yes, you can bring drinks in, preferably non alcoholic». Thumbs up for a good joke. Free wifi, the password is the same: gwinnett.

My whole purpose of going to the library was to sign up for a library card in order to borrow ebooks for my Kindle. The whole process took all of 5 minutes — I just needed an ID with my current Gwinnett County address — and before I knew it I was home downloading books from the Gwinnett County Public Library website for free. I can’t believe I waited so long to do this… and paid for so many books just because I was too lazy to spend 5 minutes at the library! Best 5 minutes I’ve spent in ages.

5 stars! Went here yesterday actually for the first time. Small building indeed but the friendliest most professional librarians I’ve ever met, I wish my high school library staff was this excellent. I will continue to come here & so should you if you live in Gwinnett/Duluth

It’s a small library. yes. I read the first and only review for this place and I believe this place deserves at least four stars. I’ve always been to the Hamiliton Mill location and every time I try to check out a book or a dvd(which I put on hold) the machine that scans it always malfunctions. Not good. And the staff there. sometimes they’re friendly and it really depends who’s working on that day. The other day, when I came with my brother to pick up a dvd the staff were REAL friendly. I was amazed that there ARE librarians out there who aren’t so bitter but the complete opposite. Yes, this library has less space which is a bit ‘scrunched’ but it’s a old library. what do you expect?! Surprisingly, I saw a lot of people inside reading books, on their laptops, and there were a few scattered around the library looking for a great book to read for the Summer(perhaps). There are a few tables around the library but not enough if there happens to be a group of people come into the library, but again. the library is small. If you live near this location and you want a certain book, then I suggest you get a library card(apply for one) and request for a particular dvd or book online. It really helps! Now the library is closer to my house. no more Hamiliton Mill Library location for me! Yay! Free WiFi over here, too. I’m sure the password is the same with all the Gwinnett Public Library locations. If you don’t know the password(or didn’t read the ‘first review’) then it’s ‘gwinnett’.
