Well this noodle shop focuses on the omnipotent dish that is ramen. Their take on ramen is… I would say mediocre but that seems a bit too negative. Perhaps average is a better description. This is not the best bowl of ramen but in certain cravings I think it could get the job done. The meat is tender the broth is decent but a bit one notes as the scent of ham or park permeated the entire broth. Though I do recommend people coming to this restaurant especially if you have only tried the instant stuff this would still be a solid upgrade from that. This restaurant fulfills a cultural void of certain Japanese dishes that would be prominent in other diverse metropolitan areas. So basically crave ramen, live in the area, and don’t want to drive too far? Come by it won’t hurt and the price is decent.

I love their ramen very much! So yummy with delicious broth. I’ve tried almost every Japanese restaurant in northeast Atlanta area, Oishi is the best one and suit my taste perfectly. My favorite is kakuni ramen.

As a native New Yorker, I have tried a lot of Japanese-owned authentic ramen noodle from shops such as Ippudo on 4th Avenue and Terakawa Ramen. Real ramen is supposed to have a light and smooth broth texture unlike(umaido, Mizumi, and Raku) aka fake Korean ramen. in those stores, U can taste heavy MSG and also vegetable oil and butter used as a base with strong hot oil to mask the taste of the broth. Believe me, next time you go their ramen shops try the soup and see for your self. u cannot really find any Japanese owned ramen stores in Georgia besides California and New York. Oishi Noodles’ soup is the closest representation of Nihhon’s Hakata Ramen from Fukoka, Japan. As an Asian cuisine connoisseur, I can tell the chefs at Oishi are well experienced either they formerly worked for Ippudo in New York or have been trained in Japan. the soup is light and not too salty or buttery. Don’t let Umaido or Raku fool you! Japanese ramen is not well acknowledged and most restaurants cannot make it well enough. I will come back next time to try their other side dishes. The only thing I dislike about this place is the lack of television lol. I prefer eating my noodles in a taco Mac type of setting where I can watch football and nascar. XD I also like their free condiments they gave out for lunch special. the service was great just like what everyone said. it is a hidden jewel in Johns Creek.

This place was pretty good. Me and my date came in at 9 or so and ordered the pork buns I believe as well as ramen and udon. It came out pretty quick. It was completely dead because we came so late. But it was quick and absolutely delicious. The menus has almost everything so it was hard to choose from. We will come back. Plus we made the thirty minute drive from Atlanta so it was definitely worth it.

We came here once because we visit H Mart almost weekly. The staffs here are very very friendly and willing to chat with you. We ordered dumplings, Chashu Ramen and Pork Ramen. To be honest the soup tastes so-so but the meat is pretty good. I can tell that the chef put his heart into the dishes and we enjoy time here. Haven’t been there for a while and hope they improved their recipe.

Oishi Noodles is a Chinese-owned ramen shop located in the H-mart plaza in John’s Creek next to Snow Mountain and Rite-aid. I stopped by after a round of golf hoping for a nice bowl of soup to warm me up. The shop wasn’t busy, so the waitress was very helpful and explained the menu to me. They had just opened a couple of months ago and were still tweaking their recipes. I ordered the tonkotsu ramen(my favorite type of ramen) and attempted to order the oishi hamburger, which is a traditional Japanese pork bun. However, the waitress actually told me that the Chinese Hamburger was better, so I followed her recommendation. The tonkotsu ramen was not what I was expecting at all. The broth was tasty, but far too light to be called tonkotsu, which should be very rich and full of flavor. The homemade noodles were good, as well as the vegetables that accompanied it. The pork however, was dry and bland. It certainly was not pork belly, which is what tonkotsu ramen is traditionally made with. The highlight of the meal was the chinese hamburger, which was cooked well and very tasty. The meat was tender and had just the perfect amount of spice. This was my first time here, but my feeling is that it would be better advertised as a Chinese restaurant. Japanese ramen broth is not easy to do well, and it seems like there just wasn’t enough effort made to make an authentic bowl of ramen. I definitely will come back in the future to try their other dishes, but I wouldn’t recommend their ramen. 3 stars for service, ok ramen, but delicious bun.

My seafood ramen was fresh and it plenty of seafood and noodles but there just wasn’t any love in the food. The broth was only okay and as we all know… It’s all about the broth and noodles. The noodles were homemade and al dente but the thin broth brought nothing special to the dish. Also… Communication breakdown. I love multicultural food. I eat more Asian than anything, however it’s bothersome when I can’t communicate with the server. If I moved to another country to live and work, you can bet I’d get a grip on the language in a relatively short period of time. I don’t think it’s too much to ask for the server to know a few key words in English to make our experience better… Just sayin’ My ramen was $ 16.00 with the added wontons. Way too expensive. I’m still hungry and not satisfied. I hear the chicken is good. Maybe I’ll give them another try down the road.

My wife and I got the shoyu ramen and tonkatsu ramen along with the pork gyoza. The broth was definitely nice and flavorful, although I wish the meat had been slightly more tender. Either way, the whole package was very good, and the gyoza was nice and crispy on the outside and filled on the inside. Good experience and definitely returning.

We ordered tonkatsu noodles, fried chicken, and chicken yakisoba. Fried chicken was really tasty. Very moist! Chicken yakisoba was really good. It was well seasoned, and noodles were on point! Those two items were good enough to make me want to go back. Buuuuuut, the noodles are just ok. The broth is very weak, it lacks flavor! Service was friendly and food came hot and fast.

I wrote a pretty scathing review for the only ramen place in Albany before I moved here. That experience helped reset the low end of my expectations and helps Oishi Noodles get a three star rating. With a name like おいしいラー麵(Oishii Ramen) actually written on the sign in Japanese, I was really hopeful this was a Japanese run ramen shop. When I went in I asked if they really had oishii ramen in Japanese, but the Chinese waitress did not understand me. The menu looked pretty good, but it set of a few warning bells that they had so much on the menu aside from ramen. I ordered Tonkotsu Ramen and they brought out a small plate of edamame and crab rangoon on the house. Both tasted great. The service, as others have mentioned, was very good. The broth, as others have mentioned, is not. The Tonkotsu Ramen itself was disappointing, but definitely better than what I was served in Albany, NY. The price is reasonable, even if the product is mediocre. I would love to see them figure their ramen out, it’d be great if a nearby place had good ramen.

We tried this neighborhood restaurant tonight and we were pleasantly surprised. We were given a free appetizer of edamame and Friday chicken, which was awesome. We tried the Yakisoba and the Unagi Don. Both were terrific. The person next to us was eating a beautiful bowl of ramen. I will definitely be back to try that!

My husband and I like trying out new places and we are always firm believers in giving a place a try even if the place looks empty. We came here to try since eyeing it a few times while grocery shopping at Hmart. It is a Chinese owned Japanese place serving mostly noodles dishes. It was not busy and we were one of three patrons in the restaurant on a Saturday night. The staff here were very nice and accommodating. Despite the lack of traffic, the food actually turned out not bad at all! For appetizers, we had the fried chicken and the oishi burger. The fried chicken was nice and juicy and tasty. While not the best bun in town, the oishi burger bun was not bad. For dinner, I had the Yo Po Men. It’s a very simple dish with mild flavors which I found surprisingly good. I added vinegar to the dish and it was great. There is not much to the dish(noodles, bean sprouts, cabbage, spices, vinegar, oil) but it was good. My husband had the Kakuni ramen and he loved it. Most of the ramens served up in the Johns Creek/Duluth/Suwanee area are very weak in flavor but the broth they make here definitely had flavor. And it was a nice flavor that wasn’t too salty either. All in all, this place is a good place to consider if you’re in the mood for a small bowl of ramen and you’re in the Johns Creek/Duluth/Suwanee area and don’t feel like making the long trek to the other ramen hot spots inside the perimeter and downtown. Hope this place is able to stay alive!

The staff were really nice. I’d really like to see them succeed but definitely the food needs work like another reviewer has said. I only tried the shoyu ramen and it certainly was on the bland side. The broth needs more umami from more pork or chicken bones, dried anchovies, onions and/or other vegetables I think. The good thing is the chashu. They use pork shoulder so it has more meat and less fat than pork belly. And they cook the chashu pretty nicely. It’s flavorful and tender. The chashu can benefit from some caramelization though. I would heat it up on a griddle just to get some caramelization going before serving. Another good thing is the menma or seasoned bamboo shoots. They truly are a staple in shoyu ramen and add nice flavor and texture when eaten with the noodles. As for Shanghai bok choy and wakame seaweed, I don’t think they belong here. Shanghai bok choy traditionally is served in tan tan men, not shoyu ramen. It goes very well with the richness and spiciness of the tan tan men broth while also providing some crunch. In shoyu ramen, it feels out of place and the texture doesn’t go with other components I don’t think. For the bowl I had, the bok choy still had quite some water from blanching in it and that kind of made the whole thing even blander. Something for the cook to pay attention to. And instead of wakame, roasted seaweed(the kind used to wrap sushi) is more traditional and provides nice texture. Another suggestion is use plenty of vigorously boiling water to blanch noodles. The bowl I had, the noodles were nicely al dante but still had raw noodle flavor. That happened to me when I used too little water to boil my noodles and that’s how I learned this. All in all, the ramen here has some good things going but also other important things that need to be improved. At least it’s better than Ichiran ramen I had in Tokyo(totally tourist trap, avoid at all costs – other no name places taste better both in terms of broth and chashu). Lastly, from a customer’s point of view, the sign is quite difficult to see and read from in front of H Mart. I only noticed the place was open when I parked in front of Rite Aid. If I were the restaurant owner, I would change the sign, use a brighter color and bigger font, preferably san-serif, to attract more people who shop at H Mart. Also, the restaurant looks very dark from outside. I would repaint the ceiling from black to white and add more lighting so that people on the outside could see the interior looking in.

Decided to try this place out. I ordered some ramen and calamari appetizer. The calamari definitely needed some kind of sauce with it. The service is was great and the staff was super friendly! The ramen was okay. I prolly won’t be back as I prolly can make better tasting noodles at home than here. If I do go back, I will definitely order something else.

Noodles were bland. That’s putting it nicely. I have only tried their pork ramen, but I am not inclined to return and try anything else. As others have said, service is great. That is the only reason I am leaving three stars.

Ordered miso ramen and chasu ramen, it was really good. The chasu was in real pork bone broth. No msg, no chicken powder, it’s real because the left over in the fridge congeal today. So even if you don’t like noodle, just drink the soup, it’s good for you.

I had a lovely experience here today. The staff is incredibly sweet. I had the Shoyu Ramen and some Gyoza. This is definitely my new favorite place to eat. They’ve only been open for a short while, but if they continue to run the place like they are today, it should become a staple for the neighborhood.

Get ready for slurping down some delicious noodles at Oishi Noodles! We found Oishi Noodles a bit by accident, only noticing their listing under the ‘Super H’ signage along U.S. 141 highway. We had actually attempted another dining location but were turned off by the cold soup and tepid reception… neither of those things happened here at Oishi Noodles. We were warmly greeted by two members of the staff. The interior was a bit stark but pristinely clean. The friendly lady who waited on us pointed out some things about the menu and guided us a bit. We took her suggestion on the gyoza dumplings which they make in house for an appetizer. Those were excellent, plump dumplings stuffed with ground pork. We both got the miso-soup-ramen noodles that included vegetables and ground pork. It was delicious comfort food for a chilly December Saturday. Service was personable and top notch. You will feel very well taken care of by these ladies. We are looking forward to going back and trying some of their other noodle specialties like their stir fries and their«Oishi hamburger» which they tell me is a pork bun … sounds yummy! You will find Oishi Noodles between the Super-H mart and Rite Aid drugs on Abbot Bridge road.

Had the yakisoba and they gave a free shrimp egg roll with kimchi… both were great and great service. Everybody should go there and make sure they are successful… this place is an unsuspecting gem.

Have already been there twice. So tasty and authentic Japanese Ramen noodle! The Fried chicken is a must-have! By far, I have tried ramen noodle with flavorful broth, fried chicken(appetizer), noodle with pork& soy bean sauce, and stir fried beef noodle. All delicious! Reasonable price and makes your soul feel happy with its brothy goodness. The staff is beyond friendly. Every delicious mouthful is worth every second you may wait. Loved it!
