I bought a set of 6 lessons as a gift for my son-in-law on Groupon, hoping he would have fun taking the lessons. When he called he learned the schedule was full for the upcoming weekend. That’s understandable, especially with a popular Groupon sale. After discussing with his wife, he called back and attempted to make an appointment 3 weeks away, knowing they will be on holiday until then. Instead of accepting the appointment, Peter Yum himself said to call back a week from the hoped-for date and see if he has an appointment available. Later that afternoon they shared the experience with me, and I decided to call and find out why they wouldn’t accept an appointment. Rather than work to find a solution, instead Mr. Yum said he told my son-in-law he said he didn’t have his schedule with him and to call back. He further went on to say he didn’t understand why it was such an inconvenience to us to call back closer to the appointment time, and asked, «Have you ever tried to schedule a golf lesson? If you did, you would understand.» Frankly I’m not accustomed to someone selling me something acting this way, so I told him I think it best we not take lessons from him. He agreed and said if Groupon didn’t refund the money he would give us the cash. I hung up. About 20 minutes later he called back and wanted to argue. I told him I had already asked Groupon to cancel the purchase, and he smartly said«Good». I hung up. Groupon DID refund the purchase, and we’re going somewhere else. This guy is rude, and even if he had a bad day, you don’t treat new customers with such disrespect. Companies use Groupon to get NEW business. Stay away from this place. They don’t need new clients.
