Trying to save a few bucks I saw Pumpco’s ad on the internet for $ 189 to pump out my septic tank, so I called and Steve told me yes, it was a flat rate. A couple of his stooges gets out there and after a quick look tells me it’s going to be at LEAST $ 600. My tank is EASY to get to and I had already dug up the dirt around the cover. Gave me a line of BS about «The $ 189 is the PUMP fee, we still have to pay to dump it, Diesel fuel is expensive», and some other kind of something or another — Don’t really remember all of his other BS as I was getting pissed off and quit listening. Told them to get lost. I went with the other company that quoted/charged $ 250 and they were done in a couple of hours.
