Before arriving Oct. 7th2014 for a 2 night stay… I was apprehensive because it was so inexpensive. I was pleasantly surprised to find my two bed room on the third floor VERY spacious and attractively decorated. I also appreciated how extraordinarily clean my room was as well. Shower was nice and hot no matter what time of day. Every encounter with staff was handled with extremely pleasant and friendly attitudes. The breakfast was very filling and I’m NO skinny gal! The location is PERFECT anything you need or want to do is abundant and located very conveniently in the same area. I’m already planning to book another stay here when I return in January.(the ONLY reason I gave it 4 out of 5 stars was because toilet flushing power was weak but it do not effect the wonderful showers).

Came here because the price was cheapest amongst all the other options($ 70 with tax and AAA discount). However this place is disgusting! Got a non smoke room but clearly someone smoked here, everything smells like it is drenched in cigarette smoke and mildew. And the carpet has large stain spots and does not look clean enough to comfortably walk around barefoot. $ 70 was too much for the poor quality but we had no choice since this was a last minute decision. Would never come back here again.

For just a one night stay, I was OK with this location. I needed something extremely reasonable & at $ 62($ 55 room charge), I went with it. The staff here was very nice upon check in & were efficient with the whole process. While the other side of the hotel(where my room was) is kind of dark/not well lit, I was thankful I had my friend with me to check it out first, before bringing all my stuff in. You can tell the property/room is a bit older, although the TV is an up to date model. The walls, furniture & bathroom all showed signs of age & wear & tear. The linens are were clean though(I am EXTREMELY anal about this!). Location is great, as you can hop on the interstate in no time. And there is shopping & restaurants nearby. They offer free wi-fi, which worked well for me.

Low Quality Inn. Lots of stuff here to be sad panda about — bullshit breakfast, broken and moderately scary«fitness room», half working television on a water stained dresser on peeling carpet that leads to a mildewed-floored bathroom with slow hot water… etc. No bugs or blood, nor dead hookers in my closet, so two stars. The price is right, but not worth a penny over $ 55.

First off, let me state that the price per night is dead cheap so take that information with the rest of the review… I got a price of approximately $ 55/night during my stay here, so that part was fair. Beyond that, I can’t say a whole lot nice about this place other than the GM of the property and his staff was all very pleasant to deal with. Location is fair if you have business in Duluth. It’s right off I-85 so very convenient as far as that’s concerned. Mall, bars, and a variety of dinner places are all around where this is so if you’re here on business, you have a decent selection of items nearby. As far as amenities are concerned however, I would say that this Quality Inn has a quality… and it’s derelict. — Wi-fi is available, but it’s atrocious. While I can stream everything up to and beyond Blu-Ray quality on my laptop, the wireless provided by this hotel fails to load something as simple as a Google search about 40% of the time. If you need wireless during your trip, avoid this location. — The«fitness room» is run-down and not worth the advertisement. — The pool was not available even though the temperature was well around/above 70 while I was here… I don’t know that they advertised dates it was open, but I was very disappointed when I looked out and saw a tarp in the pool and nowhere I could go relax. My stay was during the second week of April, so judge for yourself whether this bothers you or not. — One of the only two ice machines in the complex(the one on my floor) was non-functional. Down to the lobby for me every time I wanted ice. — The continental breakfast is a mixed bag. Coffee and juice were fine and available, but other dry goods(bagels, muffins, etc) were pretty light or non-existent. Cereal is available and there is a Belgian waffle maker(the waffles were a nice touch). — When I checked in to my room, the vanity light was non-functional(they offered to get maintenance in my room, but did not offer me a different room to fix immediately even though they did not appear to be even close to full). — The beds are sleepable, but nothing that I would call comfortable. — The wall and wallpaper in my bathroom were moisture damaged and warped. — The TV Service is fine but nothing I would write home about. If you are a person who likes the«enhanced features» of a lot of hotels(pay per view, digital channel guide, premium channels, etc), this place doesn’t have them. It’s pretty much the standard cable package you get at home(minus the digital channel guide, you still have to go to the old-school auto-scrolling tv guide channel) plus HBO. — The secure doors to the lobby and floors are not secure at all(they do not close unless you make the effort to pull them closed behind you). If all you’re looking for is a location to lay your head while you’re in Duluth, but don’t plan on spending any time at the hotel, this place will do if you’re on a budget. I, personally, will gladly drop the extra $ 15 – 40 per night if I ever come to Duluth on business again though. Once was more than enough for me at this location. I will not be coming here again.

Stayed here on recent business trip. Nothing special, but does the job. I was trying to conserve costs on this trip so this is a bit lower than most business travel spots in class. Exercise room was a joke with machines on their death bed and breakfast was pretty sad(slices of bread in baggies). Still, the cereal, coffee, juice, and fruit was fine for the morning. Wall Street Journal in the lobby was good. Nice bed. Shower was good. Bad TV, but overall clean room and fine for the non-discerning. Fine for a quick stay.

No frills lodging accomodations for the business traveler. Centrally located between major freeways and within walking distance to restaurants, probably two blocks to Chili’s, Panda Express, Applebees, etc. Continental breakfast is included. Will stay here again.
