We had Sounds Unlimited Entertainment for our wedding at the Greysolon ballroom in Duluth. Sounds Unlimited was so easy to work with, and provided everything that we were looking for in a wedding DJ. Cory was our DJ and we could not have been happier! He was extremely accommodating through the entire process. He met with us periodically to talk about each and every detail for the reception so we could make sure everything was perfect. Cory was exceptional at reading the crowd and knowing what songs to play next. In addition, we rented the photo booth. This was such a fun way to keep our guests happy and entertained or the entire night. They also included a keep sake guest photo book which was priceless! During and after the wedding we received so many comments from our guests about our music and reception atmosphere. It was perfect! We could not have asked for a better DJ experience and highly recommend to anyone!

Évaluation du lieu : 1 Duluth, MN
The JIST: Very unprofessional business owner, Cory. You are a number to this business and an avenue of revenue, only. They know they are well known and will get continue getting business regardless of how they treat you. Consider going with a DJ that HONESTLY cares about you and your wedding on an individual level, it can be what MAKES or BREAKS your experience with this aspect of your wedding. The STORY: I chose Sounds Unlimited Entertainment in Duluth, MN for their said«great reputation». I enjoyed a wedding with their specific entertainer Eric L. a year prior to my wedding and I knew after he took my special song request that no other DJ in the past had ever heard of(Peppermint Twist by Joey Dee and the Starliters) that I wanted him as my DJ, too! When speaking to the Sounds Unlimited representatives on the phone they said, «Eric is the BEST», make sure you put him on your request form as your DJ! So in reserving our wedding date with a down payment on the Sounds Unlimited webpage it asked for our request for a specific DJ so I chose Eric. Some months later I had my «in office» meeting to go over wedding specifics. The lady I met with said, «Cory couldn’t be here tonight(because of something else), but normally your DJ comes to this meeting as well.» Confused I said, «Eric is supposed to be our DJ.» Then I was told, «Oh well Eric can’t do it anymore because he only gets his daughter every other Friday so it didn’t work out for him, but Cory is the BEST and all your guests will wonder how you got Cory to do your wedding!» So I was fine with that change as I would never want to get in the way of Eric spending time with his daughter! Also, I knew Cory was a good entertainer I have seen DJ events in the past. So a few more weeks went by and it was the week of my wedding! My wonderful wedding planner Lindsey from Northland Special Events(HIGHLYRECOMMENDED) called Sounds Unlimited that Wednesday(my wedding was on a Friday) to get them a copy of the itinerary which stated what time Cory from Sounds Unlimited should arrive at the reception site. At that time they told Lindsey, well actually it’s not going to be Cory anymore it’s going to be Jesse, but he is the BEST. When Lindsey called to tell me about that I was worried. I thought how could they change this only two nights before my wedding? And without ever contacting me –their customer– and the person from whom they are getting paid! It was an unnecessary stressor for me as the bride. In contacting them to find out more information about this 3rd person change they said Cory had something going on with his family that day and that Eric couldn’t do it because he had to work his other job at Sears. OOPS– the real truth was accidently divulged. So not only were they never forthcoming, they also lied. When Cory called me back he was SORUDE that I was taken aback. What happened to good PR? Where the«customer is always right». I remember thinking if I acted this way in my job, I wouldn’t have one. He said things like, «well that’s not MY problem» and«well sorry my DJ’s have a JOB and LIFE» and I thought, isn’t this one of their jobs, too? It wasn’t that I wasn’t getting the DJ I requested it was that they were changing things without my knowing and lying to get around it. Had we never contacted them throughout the wedding planning process a different DJ than I had expected would have showed up, and probably undoubtedly done a great job but it was the principal and how poorly it was handled. As a bride you will understand how stressful it becomes so close to the wedding, just remember the most important part is that at the end of the day you are married to the love of your life, but you still spend a great amount of money(and time!) on all the services that create your entire wedding day! Good luck in your search and consider going with a DJ that HONESTLY cares about you and your wedding on an individual level, it can be what MAKES or BREAKS your experience. You want someone who is going to care about your vision and requests for YOUR wedding day. Best wishes to you!
