We went here yesterday to watch The Nutcracker ballet. The venue itself is lovely. It was very crowded, but it was spacious enough for comfort. The concession stand is a bit lacking(resembles a movie theater concession stand with the addition of mini bottles of wine/beer in the can). Parking is a cinch. I absolutely am NOT a fan of venues that make it hard to park but that was not the case at Sugarloaf Performing Arts. If I had a choice between watching a show held in Atlanta or Sugarloaf — this would be my go to top choice!

Our daughter has been attending Sugarloaf Performing Arts for a number of years now, and she LOVES it! S.P.A. has a reputation for providing excellent dance, tumble and drama instruction to beginning, intermediate, advanced, and pre-professional dancers. The studios are clean, the instructors are among the best in the field, but most importantly, the students really seem to encourage and look after one another. I’ve observed other dance studios at competitions, and I frequently wonder if their students have the same camaraderie that I see with the students at S.P.A. Additionally, I’m proud of the age appropriate costumes S.P.A. chooses — especially compared with some of the tacky and inappropriate outfits worn elsewhere. If you have a child interested in ballet, jazz, tap, hip-hop, tumble, etc., do yourself a favor and check out Sugarloaf Performing Arts.
